Abstract

Value is the essence which causes it to be appropriate to be done by human beings. Value has close relationship with goodness. Although both of them are not same. remembering that a good thing does not always have high value for someone or on the contrary, in order value to be a part of individual, then it needs to be given through educational process. Educational value is not only one thing that increases. On the other hand, it is an essential thing in the whole educational process. Some religious values and humanity values that need to be fought in educational process in school are ikhlas, tawaddu ', ashamed, qonaah, zuhud, iffah, eagerness, honest, care ness and empathy, cooperative, brave, great heart and commitment, fear, like helping, honesty and integrity, humor, independence and self confidence, self discipline, loyalty, patient, feel proud, cleaver, respect, responsible and tolerance. However, approach that is used in educational value includes evocation approach, inculcation approach, awareness approach, moral reasoning, value analyses approach, value clarification, commitment approach, and union approach.

Abstract

Research of Arabic Education (AE) is a systematic investigation of interesting research questions about the Arabic language. Arabic Education Research can use a variety of approaches, types, and designs. For this reason, diversification of research methodology is needed so that it is not concentrated in certain research approaches and types. This study aims to describe: (1) the approach and type of research used by students in thesis research; (2) mastery of scientific substance and research methodology of students; (3) weaknesses that occur in student thesis writing. This research is descriptive-quantitative. Data collected by documents and interviews. Data were analyzed with percentages and reflective thinking. The results showed that: (1) most students conducted research using a quantitative approach, with the type of experimentation, and quasi-experiment design, (2) the substance and methodology of the students showed good mastery, and (3) weaknesses that occurred in student thesis writing lies in the weakness in making research abstracts and discussing research results. For this reason, it is suggested the need to increase students' insights in the field of research methodology, so that student research is not focused on specific approaches and types of research, so that it spreads to all approaches and types of research. However, the choice of approach and type of research must still adjust to the scientific characteristics and the problem under study.

Abstract

Men's subordination towards women still exists in public, social, political, economic as well as cultural areas. Consequently, that kind of social construction negates the representative of women's right due to fear of the present of women's body which trespasses religious and social norms. In fact, any religion and humanity refuse such kinds of discriminition or intimidation towards women.  Harassment towards women can be analized through social, moral, emotional, motivational as well as consept of personality  perspectives. As the alternative solution for aforementioned problems, efforts can be taken such as reinterpreties religious doctrines based on gender perspective, criticizies sexism myths, socializies gender equality to the society and establish the institution concerning gender issues.

Abstract

Research activities are basically part of teacher responsibilities in education. This confirms the statement, the task of the teacher is not only as an educator and teacher, but also as a researcher. As researchers, teachers must have research competencies. This writing will discuss the role of the headmaster in developing a culture of research in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, the ability of teachers to find research problems that are relevant to their scientific fields in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, and research space and research themes on education in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. This paper discusses experiments and empirical practices using the reflective discussion method, which combines telling with deduction thinking with induction. This paper is expected to help teachers or students of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education (PGMI) to more easily find problems or research themes that can be formulated into research titles and can easily conduct research properly. The writing shows that the madrasah headmaster needs to develop a strategic program that allows the growth of a facilitating culture among MI teachers. Research issues relevant to the field of teacher science can be sought and obtained from various sources, published: application of theory, studies that can be replicated, clarification of contradictory findings, literature review, individual experiences, and electronic mailing lists. Many scopes and research themes can be formulated as research titles, published: intra-curricular, supplementary curricular, madrasah management, madrasah related, madrasah leadership, education personnel, student issues, and the relationship between madrasa and related relationships. For this reason, something that must be done by policy makers in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah always encourages and facilitates teachers to conduct research. Specific research that makes a significant contribution to improving the quality and outcomes of education and learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan mengambil lokasi pada Sekolah Tinggi Agama Islam Negeri (STAIN) di Jawa Timur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa : (1) Dimensi kajian keilmuan yang banyak diteliti dosen STAIN  Jawa Timur adalah bidang Pendidikan Islam, kemudian disusul bidang Hukum Islam dan Pranata Sosial, dan Pemikiran dalam Islam. Dalam bidang pendidikan masih banyak yang bertumpu pada operasional pendidikan di sekolah dan lembaga agama, belum menyebar ke berbagai dimensi, dilihat dari jenis masalah dan lembaga pendidikannya; (2) Penelitian dosen STAIN Jawa Timur lebih banyak menggunakan pendekatan transformatif-empirik ketimbang pendekatan formalistik dan substantivistik, dan  yang paling banyak menggunakan pendekatan ini adalah bidang pendidikan Islam, kemudian bidang Hukum Islam dan Pranata Sosial; (3) Penelitian dosen STAIN Jawa Timur lebih banyak menggunakan dimensi waktu kekinian atau kontemporer. Dari sekian kajian dimensi waktu penelitian ini, yang paling banyak menggunakan dimensi ini adalah bidang pendidikan Islam, kemudian bidang Hukum Islam dan Pranata Sosial;  (4) Penelitian dosen STAIN Jawa Timur dilihat dari dimensi ruang geografik lebih banyak berada pada wilayah lokal, sedikit sekali yang masuk wilayah regional, dan tidak ada yang masuk wilayah nasional . Dari wilayah lokal yang diteliti, ada beberapa dosen yang meneliti ”rumahnya sendiri”.Kata Kunci : Penelitian Pendidikan Agama Keagamaan, PTAI

Abstract

In the Islamic University lately, there is a growing awareness to memorise the Qur’an. This phenomenon continues to develop along with the various open opportunities provided by the manager of higher education for those who memorise the Qur’an. This research will focus on the motivation to memorise the Qur’an, the method of memorising the Qur’an, and the achievements of students memorising the Qur’an. This research is descriptive. The use of interview, observation, and documentation methods and analysis of reflective data in research has enabled him to understand more deeply about the existence of memorising the Qur’an. The results showed that students’ motivation in memorising the Qur’an was inspired by people who memorised the Qur’an first, especially families who had indeed been directed so that all family members memorised the Qur’an and also wanted to get virtue from rote learning al-Qur’an. The method of memorising the Qur’an used is al-nazar or tarÄ«qat takrÄ«r al-qirÄat al-juz’ī (read repeatedly or slowly) while still maintaining the tradition of using the genealogy of the cleric or clerics to one another continuously. Al-Qur’an memorisation students achieved an average of 3.46 from the 0-4 interval, but most of them were above 3.5.

Abstract

The thought of humanism originated in Athens. As a universal ideology, humanism is the foundation of modern civilization in the western and the eastern world. As an ideology, humanism is adopted by many third world countries, including Indonesia. Although there have been many discussions on Humanism, studies on Humanism in Islam perspective related to tolerance, freedom, and equality in Indonesia’s context have not been carried out. This study attempts to fill that gap including the values of tolerance, freedom, and equality of rights in Indonesia. It is conducted to discover the Islamic humanism developed in Indonesia. The results of the study are: (1) the Islamic humanism is very relevant in Indonesian context which has life philosophy of Pancasila; (2) tolerance as part of Islamic humanism still stands tall in Indonesia because people assume that it has high enthusiasm for safeguarding human dignity; (3) freedom of society in religion, expressing opinion, politics, and other national and state life activities has been guaranteed by the law, although there are still some restrictions by the government on freedom of society; (4) equality rights wise, there are still some Indonesian people who still get unfair law treatment, for example many low-economic level citizens who steal trivial items get severe penalties, while the corruptors stealing bigger amount of money often roam freely without supervision.

Abstract

It seems that religious and religious education research activities at PTAI are still monotonous and not varied, and each study dimension is fixed only on one approach, and more around research, apologetic, and nonnative, has not yet touched on development and evaluation. Therefore, religious and religious education research in the future is expected to cross between dimensions, such as the modern development of the Islamic world with the dimension of time as well as geographical space. Thus, it would seem that the broad-cultivation dimensions of research are to be researched and developed. Therefore, scientific studies / scientific methods (including in the field of religious and religious education), are not solely conducted with research, but can also be done with development, and evaluation. Similarly, the area of religious studies can be developed in: (1) sacred texts as the source of religious teachings, (2) the Muslim community structure, and (3) the behavior of Muslim society. With the expansion of these areas of study, it is hoped that Muslim intellectuals can reflect that religions considered sacred and always approached with a normative framework (based on sacred texts), should be changed by a proportional approach to the study of the social sciences Selama ini terkesan bahwa, kegiatan penelitian pendidikan agama dan keagamaan di PTAI masih bersifat monoton dan tidak variatif, serta pada setiap dimensi kajian hanya terpaku pada satu pendekatan, dan lebih banyak berkisar pada penelitian, apologetik, dan nonnative, belum menyentuh pada pengembangan dan evaluasi. Untuk itu, penelitian pendidikan agama dan keagamaan ke depan diharapkan dapat menyilangkan antar dimensi, misalnya perkembangan modem di dunia Islam dengan dimensi waktu sekaligus ruang geografik. Dengan demikian, akan nampak bahwa, dimensi garapan penelitian culrnp luas untuk diteliti dan dikembangkan. Sebab, pengkajian ilmiah/metode keilmuan (tennasuk dalam bidang pendidikan agama dan keagamaan), tidak semata-mata dilaku.kan dengan penelitian, tetapi juga dapat dilakukan dengan pengembangan, dan evaluasi. Demikian juga wilayah kajian penelitian keagamaan dapat dikembangkan pada: (1) teks-teks suci sebagai sumber ajaran agama, (2) tatanan masyarakat muslim, dan (3) perilaku keagaman masyarakat muslim. Dengan perluasan wilayah kajian tersebut, diharapkan kalangan cendekiawan muslim dapat melakukan refleksi bahwa agama yang dianggap sesuatu yang sacral dan selalu didekati dengan kerangka normatif (berdasar teks-teks suci), harus diubah dengan pendekatan kajian ilmu-ilmu sosial secara proporsional

Abstract

Andragogy learning is an art of learning approach with an adult-style practice. This approach is for students lacking attention to materials, learning orientation, self-concept, and learning motivation, especially in learning in Islamic boarding schools. This study aims to find the concept of andragogy learning in improving Arabic understanding. The subject is Ngalah Islamic boarding school Pasuruan School, Indonesia by using a qualitative approach with natural methods. The role of the researcher is to plan, collect, analyze and report research results. The data sources of this research were taken from interviews, observations, and documentation with orientation, exploration, and focused study with data analysis techniques: condensation, display, conclusion drawing, and data verification. The validity checking of the data is done with credibility, dependability, and confirmability. Research findings at Ngalah Islamic boarding school pasuruan include: a) orientation to the cultivation of tasawuf values (tariqat) with empirical, intuitive and tazkiyyah methods; b) respect is given in the form of muroqabah, riyadhoh, mujahadah and contemplation; c) learning motivation appears in the form of innovation and seeking wisdom. The learning orientation is relevant to the problem centered and contextual; learning readiness is relevant to autonomous, self-directing, resource, and mental models; and learning motivation is relevant to the value and personal payoff. The implications of andragogy learning at the Ngalah Islamic boarding school are increasing students' understanding of Arabic with an andragogy approach.
