MUKASI (Jurnal Ilmu Komunikasi) adalah jurnal ilmu komunikasi nasional peer-review yang diterbitkan oleh Yayasan Pendidikan Penelitian Pengabdian Algero yang terbit empat kali dalam setahun yaitu Februari, Mei, Agustus dan November. Abstract

Indonesia has entered the digitalization era by utilizing technology. However, the gap in understanding between urban and rural communities is one of the obstacles to technological development in this country. PT Citiasia Internasional created the Inidesaku application which is aimed at building village communities so that they can compete in this era. In marketing the application, a marketing communication strategy is needed to achieve company goals. This made researchers interested in conducting research with the title "Marketing Communication Strategy of PT Citiasia Internasional in Developing Inidesaku Applications". The theory used is a marketing communication strategy by Kohler & Smith (Banjarnahor, et all, 2021), namely advertising, sales promotion, public relations & publicity, personal selling, direct marketing, sponsorship, corporate identity, packaging, point of sale & merchandising , as well as word of mouth. The results showed that PT Citiasia Internasional used 9 (nine) of 10 (ten) marketing communication strategies in accordance with the theory used. As for 1 (one) of 10 (ten) strategies that are not used is sponsorship, because it is not specifically on behalf of the Inidesaku application. The results of the study also state that personal selling (direct sales) is most effectively used in promoting the Inidesaku application to get clients.

Abstract

In this article, a questionnaire was distributed to 62 respondents to explore the influence of this phenomenon on news at the @tanyarl autobase. The survey results showed that the majority (61.1%) of respondents agreed that this phenomenon has influenced an increase in reporting on the autobase account. This indicates that K-Pop fanaticism has created a shift in focus and news content. Thus, K-Pop fanaticism can contribute positively to the development of a more creative and innovative journalistic style. However, the pressure to produce content that captures the attention of K-Pop fans can lead to sensationalism and a loss of objectivity. Survey results show that some respondents feel that news on Twitter tends to be more subjective and not entirely accurate in its coverage of K-Pop. Additionally, it was also found that K-Pop can disrupt the balance and fairness of attention given to other topics on the platform. The dominance of K-Pop content on social media makes it difficult for other topics to receive the attention they deserve. Therefore, it is necessary to implement fact-checking mechanisms and promote critical thinking among social media users. Educating users about the assessment of news quality and the importance of topic diversity should be enhanced so that users can distinguish between trustworthy and untrustworthy news content.

Abstract

This study analyzes the role of investigative journalists in exposing drug cases through investigative journalism. Investigative journalism has the potential to uncover hidden drug trafficking practices, highlight the roles of relevant actors, and provide a better understanding of drug flows and their impact on society. Using a qualitative analysis method, this research examines cases of journalism investigations that have succeeded in uncovering drug trafficking practices. Data is collected through investigative journalism articles, investigative reports, and interviews with investigative journalists. This study analyzes the strategies, techniques and approaches used by journalists in exposing drug cases. The results of this study reveal that journalists act as public watchdogs who raise drug issues, increase public awareness, and compel the government to take action. The main roles of journalists include gathering evidence, interviewing sources, conducting analysis and research, uncovering facts, and reporting and communicating their findings. This research provides a better understanding of the important role of investigative journalists in exposing drug trafficking practices and contributes to improving efforts to prevent and deal with drugs globally.

Abstract

Social media has facilitated conversations between organizations and their publics. Companies in various sectors have adopted social media for this purpose. This is also the hospitals. However, in hospital social media, information distribution has more portion than interactivity. In fact, dialogic communication is one of the factors succesfull public services. Hospitals need to present a dialogic communication dimension in communicating with their public through social media. This research presents dialogic communication carried out by hospital to interact with patients and online users on social media. The descriptive qualitative approach is considered capable of answering this question by looking at the dimensions of dialogic communication through responsiveness, conversation, active presence, interactive attitude and interactive resources. The results showed that dialogic communication was carried out by conducting online activities on social media such as uploading entertainment and educational content. Hospital also respond to incoming messages and comments on agency social media. Furthermore, hospital needs other platforms to bring sustainable and in-depth conversations.

Abstract

Rhyme is a poetic device that can be studied to know the poetic style of certain writer. The rhyme which was used in historical poetry will also provide a clue of the word pronunciation in certain era in the past. This study investigates the rhymes used by Alexander Pope in the late seventeenth century (early eighteen century), an era called Modern English which is interesting for its in-between characteristics, meaning that the language is similar to and different from current English. Accordingly, this study also aims at identifying the distinctive phonological feature in the form of vowel shift and unveiling the historical background of Pope’s rhyme choice. In order to achieve the purposes, the researcher analyzed fifteen poems written by Pope. The result shows that the rhyme scheme mostly used by Pope is the couplet aabbcc, even though the pattern varies. Some of the rhyming words give a clue on the pronunciation through the vowel shifts, by comparing them to the current English. Some of the vowels were more likely the result of the Great Vowel Shift effect in Renaissance era. Historically, the type of rhyme used by Pope shows that poems, as satirical verses, were used as an ideal vehicle to criticize the situation of English language development and the authority.

Abstract

The era of digital transformation has changed the way many businesses operate, communicate and compete. In this era, businesses need to develop relevant strategies to remain competitive. Contemporary businesses are undergoing digital transformation, the role of a viable strategy has become very important for any company. There are various important aspects to focus on when developing a digital business strategy: primarily, increasing the scope of business operations as well as implementing the latest IT solutions to make this strategy a long-term “scale-up” plan intended to maintain the company's viability, performance and contribute to the achievement of Development Goals Sustainable (SDGs). The purpose of this article is to analyze the development of efficient business strategies in the digital era. The method used in this analysis is a qualitative descriptive method. The results of this discussion show that in the era of the “new economy” and the digital transformation that accompanies it, an innovative digital business strategy based on advanced IT solutions and aligned with the SDGs is a great opportunity for companies to deviate from competitors and gain a competitive advantage
