Abstract

This study aimed to assess the degree of personal boundaries and the level of wellness among students of Capiz Commercial School. A sample of 159 students from intermediate, junior high, and senior high schools was randomly selected as respondents for the study. The researcher collected the data from randomly selected respondents using a validated and reliability-tested research-made questionnaire. The data were analyzed and interpreted using statistical tools such as frequency count, percentage, mean, t-test, f-test, Analysis of Variance, and Pearson-r. The study found moderate personal boundaries in students, showing that they spend time with others without being overly dependent or isolated. The subscale psychological boundaries were high, indicating that respondents have strong emotional independence. The moderate physical boundaries indicate that the students are comfortable initiating physical contact and obtaining permission from others to do so. High mental health was reported. Self- and social-relationships were also good. When considering sex, age, grade level, and family income, personal boundaries varied significantly. Family income alone considerably influenced the level of psychological wellness. Finally, there was no significant relationship between students' personal boundaries and psychological wellness, indicating that it is unlikely to impact them. Nevertheless, it is imperative to acknowledge the limitations of the research, acknowledge individual differences, and acknowledge that the absence of a statistical relationship does not diminish the significance of personal boundaries in individual cases.

Abstract

This study investigates the factors influencing green consumer behavior in budget hotels in Indonesia, focusing on the integration of Environmental Concern (EC) and Green Product Availability (GPA) into the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) framework. The research examines the relationships between Attitude (ATT), Subjective Norms (SN), Perceived Behavioral Control (PCB), Environmental Concern (EC), Green Intention (GI), Green Consumer Behavior (GCB), and Green Product Availability (GPA) as a moderating variable. Data were collected from 300 respondents through a structured questionnaire and analyzed using SEM-PLS. The findings reveal that ATT, SN, and EC significantly influence GI, with ATT as the strongest predictor. GI is the most significant driver of GCB, confirming its mediating role. However, PCB has limited influence on GCB, highlighting the importance of addressing structural barriers. The moderation analysis shows that GPA significantly strengthens the relationship between GI and GCB, emphasizing the critical role of accessible eco-friendly products in translating intentions into behavior. This study extends the TPB framework and provides practical recommendations for hotel managers and policymakers. Strategies to promote sustainability include fostering positive attitudes, leveraging social norms, and ensuring the availability of green products. Future research should explore additional moderating factors and expand the context to other regions or hotel segments.

Similarly, a high level of commitment to learning was observed, both in curricular and non-curricular engagements. No significant differences were found in the degree of metacognition when considering sex and residential location, but significant differences were noted concerning the respondents’ strand, parents' highest educational attainment, and parents’ occupation. Similarly, no significant differences in learning commitment were found concerning sex, parents’ highest educational attainment, parents' occupation, and residential location, but differences were significant with respect to the respondents’ strand. A significant relationship was identified between the degree of metacognition and the level of learning commitment. The findings imply that enhancing metacognitive skills may foster greater commitment to learning among students, highlighting the importance of tailored educational strategies that address various demographic factors.

Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the training needs  of teachers    and propose a training design based on the gathered data from public elementary school teachers in the Province of Capiz.  Foreign and local literatures   related to training needs assessment were reviewed in relation to their relevance and implications of the study. When professionals are exposed to various realities of the communities and use their skills to address social issues they become more beneficial because professional development is a transformative space and dialogical for nurturing active and socially conscious professionals (Banderlipe, 2022). On the other hand, the study of Villaluz, G. et al, (2018) “A pathway to quality education is community engagement in teaching-learning” states that positive changes in the teaching profession in community engagement through observation, constant planning, and critical reflection is evident. This allows transformation of student performance, effective sharing of professional knowledge, sharing of strategies and reading of updated literature in teaching and learning in community engagement. Quantitative data from the 368 randomly selected respondents who answered the validated and reliability tested researcher-made questionnaire and qualitative data from ten FGD participants coming from the Schools Division of Capiz and Roxas City respectively using a mixed methods of research. Statistical tools used to analyse and interpret the data were frequency count, percentage and mean. Findings of the study revealed that training for teachers in the Province of Capiz is very much needed in terms of curriculum and planning, content knowledge and pedagogy, diversity of learners and learning development, community linkages and professional engagement, and personal growth and professional development. In terms of assessment and reporting was found moderately needed. These needs are similar for the teachers regardless of their socio-demographic profile such as age, sex, residence, highest educational attainment, and length of service. Based on the results of the study, a training design has been proposed focused on the identified areas namely: 21st Century Skills and ICT integration in Teaching; Utilization of Research-based in Teaching; and Teaching Leadership and Management. These recommendations were laid by the researcher to promote and support the pedagogical skills and professional development of teachers for better strategies in teaching and better learning outcomes through training design.
