Abstract

This study aims to develop instrument for evaluating e-learning through Learning Management System (LMS) in the Office Administration program at vocational schools with CSE-UCLA evaluation model. Using cluster random sampling, data were collected from 85 respondents in the small-scale and 235 in the wide-scale trial stage. Validation procedures included Aiken's index for content validity, while construct validation utilized Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA), with reliability assessed using Cronbach's Alpha coefficient. The results showed that there were five instrument constructs for implementing e-learning. The Aiken index to measure content validity showed a valid item. The validity of the instrument construct was evaluated using EFA with a KMO value of 0.751, and each item had an anti-image coefficient more than 0.5, meaning that the factor analysis requirements for the future were met. The fit model based on the CFA result showed the value of Chi-square (X^2) = 239.61, df = 179, P-value = 0.416, RMSEA = 0.000. The loading factor value was 0.41-0.89 (>0.30), meaning the item was valid. The instrument's reliability showed a value of 0.791 that all instruments developed were reliable.

Abstract

Lecturers must create innovative and engaging learning experiences that encourage students to actively participate in all aspects of the learning process so that student's academic performance can improve. This study tested the effectiveness of the blind system method assisted by 10astfingers learning media in improving students' performance and engagement. This study used a treatment-by-level design (T-LD). The subject of this study were 73 undergraduate students of business administration at Politeknik Balekambang Jepara. The data were collected through practicum tests and questionnaires. An independent sample test was used for data analysis This study showed that 10fastfingers learning media can improve students' cognitive and psychomotor performance. Thus, this medium is effective as a keyboard learning medium for improving student performance. The results of this study showed that 10fastfingers media were able to increase student participation in learning activities. Therefore, it can be concluded that use of 10fastfingers media can improve academic performance and student engagement.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) profile of pre-service teachers at the Economics Education Study Program at Universitas Jenderal Soedirman. This study used quantitative method with a survey research design. The sample of population were 111 respondents from 3rd, 5th, and 7th-semester. To measure TPACK, 50 statements were formulated based on the indicators of each TPACK component, categorized as valid and reliable. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The research results showed that the seven components of TPACK were categorized as good, two components are more prominent, namely Technological Knowledge (TK) and Technological Content Knowledge (TCK), while the lowest component was Content Knowledge (CK). These results suggest that during lectures, it's important to emphasize both mastering the material and integrating technology into learning.

Abstract

This study elaborates the three prominent paradigms in educational research: positivism, interpretivism, and action research. I epistemologically elucidate these paradigms through literature reviews, offering insights and critiques. Positivism emphasizes empirical explanation, typically focusing on observable behavior. Interpretivism highlights contextual understanding. Action research emphasizes participation and dialectical processes. The result of this study does not claim that there is only one best approach to educational research. However, it provides a philosophical overview of each paradigm.
