Abstract

Environmental issues that arise from various aspects of the environment make companies face challenges to be able to demonstrate responsibility for their operations. This responsibility can be seen through the sustainability report that has been required by the government, and is an important indicator to see the extent to which the company maintains the company's reputation for disclosure of its environmental aspects. Therefore, the study aims to determine the effect of corporate reputation on environmental disclosure by looking at the disclosure of the company's sustainability report. This research was conducted on 75 companies listed on the IDX with the period 2020-2022 which were selected through purposive sampling technique using data analysis techniques in the form of panel regression. The results showed that corporate reputation has no significant effect on environmental disclosure. This finding finds that the level of reputation owned by the company does not directly encourage companies to increase transparency or disclosure related to environmental issues. One of the reasons is that investors have not considered the company's environmental disclosure as an important aspect before deciding to invest. Even so, companies with a large company size have a better ability to make disclosures.

Abstract

The current competition in coffee shops makes business people create strategies to become the best of the best. One of the strategies implemented by Kopi Lestari is to innovate new products in the form of Pistachio Matcha, Cream Cheese Matcha, and the most unique is KombuchaThis research aims to analyze the effect of product innovation and product packaging on consumer satisfaction at Lestari Kopi Sampit. This research was conducted using a quantitive method. The sample used for this research consisted of 85 respondents who were selected through accidental sampling technique from Lestari Kopi customer who had visited more than once. The research instrument used for this study was a questionnaire, which consisted of structured questions relating to the influence of product innovation and product packaging in influencing consumer satisfaction at Lestari Kopi Sampit. The result indicate that product innovation and product packaging have a significant positive effect on consumer satisfaction at Lestari Kopi Sampit.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of finding out the influence of price and product rating on purchasing decisions for skincare products on e-commerce Shopee and Tokopedia. This research uses quantitative methods with causal associative research characteristics, using secondary data. The population in this study were Indonesian people who had purchased skincare skintific moisturizer products on E-commerce Shopee and Tokopedia, with a total sample of 80 shops selling skincare skintific moisturizer on E-commerce Shopee and Tokopedia which were selected using the nonprobability accidental sampling method with data in the form of a cross section. The results of the partial test (t test) of this research show that the price variable does not have a significant effect on purchasing decisions with a prob value 0.92 is greater than >0.05 then the product rating variable has a positive and significant influence with a positive coefficient value of 11.04 with a prob value 0.0001 smaller <0.05.

Abstract

Employee performance in an organization or company is influenced by various factors, one of which is work motivation. Motivation serves as the main driving force that encourages employees to perform their tasks enthusiastically and contribute optimally to the company. This study aims to analyze how work motivation affects employee performance at Hotel Midtown Xpress Sampit. The research employs a correlational method with a saturated sampling technique, where all 48 employees are included as respondents. In this study, data were analyzed using multiple linear regression to examine the relationship between work motivation and employee performance. Additionally, hypothesis testing was conducted using the t-test to determine the significance of the independent variables' influence on the dependent variable. The results indicate that work motivation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. However, when work tenure was included as a control variable, it was found that length of service did not significantly affect performance. These findings suggest that companies should focus more on strategies to enhance employee motivation, such as providing rewards, creating a comfortable work environment, and offering personal development opportunities to optimize employee performance and productivity.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of K-Pop news notifications on stock returns of South Korean entertainment industry companies. The research sample consisted of 6 entertainment companies with a research period of 2 years. There is a phenomenon of two big news regarding the hiatus of BTS and NCT which caused two different market reactions. The data used includes 1,320 good K-Pop news and 888 bad K-Pop news. Data collection was carried out through secondary data using dummy variables using a time estimate of 4 days, and data analysis using multiple linear regression with Eviews 9. The results of the research show that: 1). Good K-Pop news has a significant positive effect on stock returns of South Korean entertainment industry companies. 2). Bad K-Pop news has a significant negative effect on stock returns of South Korean entertainment industry companies. The implications of this study include: 1). Extending the research period to get a more comprehensive picture, 2). Using a different approach in investigating the impact of K-Pop news on stock returns of South Korean entertainment industry companies for a deeper understanding, which can provide useful information in making investment.

Abstract

Alfamart and Indomaret have a strong marketing strategy that extends to the standard of service. Numerous establishments of Alfamart and Indomaret have made them the preferred small-scale retailers with similar business models. Even if the pricing strategy differs, Alfamart and Indomaret offer better products. The purpose of this study is to determine how prices and product quality at Indomaret and Alfamart affect customers' satisfaction. Using a quantitative approach, the population of this study consists of people who shop at Indomaret and Alfamart in Jalan Tjilik Riwut Pal. 2,5, Kabupaten Katingan, Provinsi Kalimantan Tengah, at least twice a week. About 90 respondents were selected for this study using the convenience sampling technique. Data analysis techniques include paired sample t-tests and multiple regression analysis. The study's findings indicate that prices and quality of products have a positive and significant impact on customers' purchases at Indomaret and Alfamart, thus as prices and quality of products improve, more customers will be satisfied. In addition, there are differences between the customer satisfaction levels of Indomaret and Alfamart, with Alfamart's customer satisfaction being higher.

Abstract

The boycott movement was widely discussed at the end of 2023. People began boycotting products that directly or indirectly supported acts of genocide. The impact of this boycott became increasingly evident on the targeted products. This study aims to examine the effect of the boycott of Israeli products on the purchase intention of competing products that were not boycotted. The study population consists of all residents of Sampit City. The sample was selected using purposive sampling, and the sample size was determined using Lemeshow's formula, resulting in 100 respondents. Data were collected through questionnaires using a Likert scale and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results of the study show that the boycott has a positive effect on the purchase intention of competing products. Additionally, religion also has a positive effect in strengthening the relationship between the boycott and purchase intention. The boycott encouraged people to switch to alternative products, leading to a higher demand for substitute goods. Initially, many people were accustomed to using the boycotted products, but over time, they gradually transitioned to non-boycotted products, most of which are locally made. This trend is particularly evident in Indonesia, where the majority of the population is Muslim.

Abstract

Investing in shares in Islam must pay attention to clear sources and elements, including 3 things that must be considered, namely, before buying shares, carry out fundamental analysis or technical analysis, these two methods of analysis will prevent us from speculation and uncertainty. Research on the sharia label on shares has never been found, therefore this study aims to analyze whether the sharia label has an effect on determining investor investment decisions with the existence of a religion that is believed to be a moderating variable. The grand theory used in this research is Behavioral Finance Theory with Bias Framing as a derivative. This type of research is qualitative with a total sample of 66 Darwan Ali Sampit University students taken using the purposive sampling method. This research method uses experiments and analyzed using logistic regression with logit function. The results of this study indicate that the sharia label has no effect on investors' decision to invest in shares, but when the investor is a Muslim, the investor's decision to invest in sharia shares will be stronger.

Abstract

This study was conducted to see the effect of the relationship between the provision of audit opinions on companies and operating profit on stock returns of companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2021. The basis of this study is to test the consistency of the provision of audit opinions and operating profit on stock returns by looking at the relationship between signal theory. The type of research data is cross-section with a sample of 430 companies. The results of the study explain that as many as 342 companies obtained an unqualified opinion with the results that there is a positive relationship between the provision of opinions on stock returns. Then as many as 84 companies that obtained an unqualified opinion with an explanatory paragraph gave a negative relationship to stock returns. Then as many as 3 companies that obtained a qualified opinion and 1 company that obtained an adverse opinion had no relationship to stock returns. Finally, there is a positive relationship between operating profit and stock returns.

Abstract

This study aims to prove whether the stock screening strategy provided by Indonesian YouTubers can give significantly higher returns compared to Indonesian market returns (IDX Composite). After forming 3 portfolios based on various screening criteria provided by 3 Indonesian Financial/Investment YouTubers, it was found that the returns of the three portfolios were not significantly higher than the IDX Composite returns for short-term or long-term investments. Although the portfolio's average return with the most stringent screening criteria appears to be greater than the IDX Composite, this is accompanied by a higher increase in value-at-risk and a consistently higher standard deviation than the IDX Composite. So the recommendations given by influencers may not just be formulated based on the most optimal screening strategy for their audience, but are also influenced by their interests.
