Abstract

Workload is one of the critical factors in achieving employee performance. A high workload can sometimes make it difficult for employees to perform well, ultimately affecting the company's overall performance. Motivation and leadership style also play a role in employee performance. This study aims to examine the effect of workload and work motivation on employee performance at PT Bisma Dharma Kencana. The population in this study includes harvesting employees and supervisors at the company, with a sample of 95 respondents selected using the convenience sampling technique. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression with SPSS 22. The hypothesis test results show that workload has a partially positive effect on employee performance, as does work motivation, which also has a partially positive effect. A higher workload, accompanied by strong motivation and effective leadership, can lead to better employee performance. Additionally, a high workload is often followed by increased salaries or bonuses, making it reasonable for performance to improve.

Abstract

This research illustrates the role of motor vehicles in daily activities, particularly motorcycles, which have become favorites amidst dense urban mobility. Trio Motor Sampit, as an official service provider of Honda, offers quality-guaranteed services. Despite the higher service costs at Trio Motor Sampit, the number of customer visits increases from month to month. This indicates that most consumers are not influenced by the higher prices and continue to choose quality services. The research findings indicate that cost and service do not have a significant influence on customer satisfaction at Trio Motor Sampit. Abstract

The increasing investment education campaigns conducted by PT Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) and the availability of Investment Galleries in universities openup great opportunities for students to invest in the capital market. Previous studies have examined the topics of investment knowledge, risk perception, and investment interest. However, previous research still has some shortcomings that need to be improved and developed. These shortcomings include sample size that does not represent the population, the absence of control variables in the research, and some technical shortcomings in the methodology. This study aims to analyze the effect of investment knowledge on the investment interest in stocks of young investors in Kotim with risk perception as an intervening variable. This research uses a quantitative method with cross-section data on 100 young investors at Darwan Ali University. The results of the study show that investment knowledge has a significant positive effect on risk perception and stock investment interest. However, the availability of capital does not show a significant effect on investment interest. These findings highlight the importance of investment education for students and the contribution of risk perception in increasing stock investment interest. This research provides a reference for the development of investment education strategies in the future.

Abstract

Companies raise funds not only through debt but also by offering shares to the public, known as an Initial Public Offering (IPO). A common phenomenon in IPOs is underpricing, where the initial offering price is lower than the secondary market price. Despite the economic instability caused by COVID-19, some companies still proceeded with IPOs. This study analyzes the existence of underpricing in IPOs on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the COVID-19 pandemic. The sample includes companies that went public between March 9, 2020, and June 30, 2021, using cross-sectional regression analysis. The findings confirm that underpricing persisted during the pandemic, mainly due to company performance reported in the prospectus. Despite the crisis, some companies maintained strong financial performance, attracting investors. Additionally, oversubscription contributed to underpricing, as low IPO prices combined with high company performance led to excessive demand. Interestingly, even companies with higher IPO prices experienced oversubscription, indicating strong investor interest despite market uncertainties.
