Abstract

Archipelago architecture is a form of architecture that expresses the inseparable unity between humans and their natural environment, reflecting the interconnection of two eras. The Nekara Museum in Selayar Islands Regency has many historical relics that need to be known and recognized by the wider community. The current problem is the revitalization of the Nekara Selayar Museum with an Indonesian architectural approach. The aim is to get a unique Nakara Museum design with an Indonesian architectural approach concept. Data collection methods are through field surveys, literature studies in the form of theoretical/standardized data collection related to functions or approaches, design principles, and precedent studies. Meanwhile, the data analysis method uses descriptive, synthesis, and exploration methods for the results of the design concept. The results of this research are that the location that will be used as a design plan is in Matalalang, Bontobangun District, which is by the RTRW, and the designation of the museum building, namely the design for the revitalization of the Selayar Islands Nekara Museum. Regency, by using an archipelago architectural approach can be a forum for providing information, collecting, caring for, presenting, and preserving cultural products found in the Selayar Islands Regency, both historical relics of its own discovery and government discoveries. This museum was designed with an Indonesian architectural approach.

Abstract

The construction of a rest area is essential to provide a comfortable resting place for drivers when they experience fatigue and decreased body endurance, according to Law Number 22 of 2009. This writing aims to obtain the results of designing a rest area using a behavioral approach. The discussion method begins with data collection, which is processed through field surveys by collecting physical/location data information according to the needs of the design concept approach. Then, function and approach and collect precedent studies. After the data collection method, a literature study was carried out in the form of theoretical data collection/standardization of data estimates. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive, synthetic, and exploratory methods. The research results obtained a territorial design concept in the rest and eating areas, which were grouped based on visitor characteristics. The idea of territory is applied to function as an area divider to provide comfort to its users. In using the concept of territory, three forming elements are needed. Namely, fixed elements, where these elements cannot be shifted or moved easily by the user; semi-fixed elements, where these elements are semi-fixed and can be turned or transferred at any time; and non-fixed elements are free elements is space resulting from change, this element is more related to humans as users of space, for example the movements and gestures of the human body..

Abstract

Functionalism Modern architecture has the principle that building design must be based on the purpose and function of the building itself. Modern architecture prioritizes a position where architecture can accommodate various activities and the use of reinforced concrete and steel. The characteristics of the contemporary functionalist architectural concept include designing buildings that are pure without decoration and have simple shapes such as planes, boxes and cubes. Capsule hotel in Toraja, with a modern functionalist architectural approach, designed in the city of Rantepao, the center of Toraja, and easy to reach by public and private transportation. The design of this hotel aims to provide lodging facilities for tourists holidaying in Toraja, a popular tourist destination, especially in South Sulawesi; This is influenced by the uniqueness of its culture and customs, especially its natural beauty. Before identifying the capsule hotel design, the author carried out a research methodology, namely a qualitative descriptive methodology. Referring to the explanation above, how to apply modern functionalist architecture to a capsule hotel designed in Toraja so that you can identify the application of modern functionalist architectural elements in the design. The results of the analysis of the application of functionalist architecture to capsule hotel design in Toraja can be seen in the building form, structural system, spatial layout and materials.
