Journal in Islamic Studies published by the Institute for Student Studies and Empowerment IAIN Purwokerto. Subjects include textual study and fieldwork with various perspectives on law, philosophy, mysticism, history, art, theology, and more. Initially, the journal only functioned as a print and electronic journal media that accommodated and published research results from theses/final assignments and/or part of theses/final assignments for students of IAIN Purwokerto S.1 and S.2, from multidisciplinary sciences. However, due to later developments with a wider audience, the journal has managed to invite scholars and researchers outside the Institute to contribute. Thus, Indonesian and non-Indonesian scholars have enriched studies published in journals. Although from the start Raushan Fikr did not present highly qualified scientific articles, the improvement — in terms of format, style, and academic quality — never stopped. Now with articles written in Indonesian, Arabic and English and with fair peer-review procedures, Raushan Fikr continues to publish research and studies related to Islamic studies with various dimensions and approaches. Raushan Fikr, published twice a year (1 volume and 2 numbers) in January and July, has always placed Islam and Muslims in the main focus of academic inquiry and invited comprehensive observations on Islam as a theological belief and system of society and Muslims as those who practice religion with many sides. This journal, serving as a forum for Islamic studies in Indonesia and other parts of the world in a local and challenging global context, supports theme-focused studies and interdisciplinary studies. Raushan Fikr has become a medium for diffusion and exchange of ideas and research findings, in such a way that researchers, writers and readers from various learning traditions have interacted in a scientific way.

Abstract

Nowaday, the f stereotypical views of Islam with radicalism is increasing and also revives the wave of Islamophobia, both in terms of religion, culture, and politics. In the context of the Indonesian state, for example, Pancasila democracy is being sued by several groups who wish to make religious laws as state constitutions to reap the pros and cons among the public. They assume that the Indonesian state system is “evil” because it is not in accordance with the instructions in the Qur’an. This article the author tries to position democracy in the perspective of the Qur’an. From the research carried out it can be seen that indeed in Lafdziyah, democracy has never been explicitly mentioned in the Qur’an. The Qur’an only mentions orders to consult (syura). In this case, Shura is narrower than democracy. Especially if you examine the opinions of some intellectuals who claim that the harmony of shura and democracy lies in several principles of democracy, namely justice (al-’adalah), equality (al-musawah), independence (al- hurriyyah), deliberation (ash-shura), and accountability (al-mas’uliyyah). From these principles it can be seen that shura is only a small part of a broader democratic system. However, democracy does not conflict with the Qur’an at all. Al-Quran actually provides a moral foundation in building a democratic system

Abstract

This writing aims to describe al-Maus’ul ‘an Ra‘iyyah in prophet’s hadis (Textual and Contextual Interpretation Studys). Sentence al-Mas’ul ‘an Ra‘iyyah means a leader’s respomsibility. In hadith mentioned that all in the world is leader and will be asked his responsibility in here after. Human being created by Allah, has two big tasks and responsibility. First: as a servant who is obliged to increase worship. Second: as a messenger. Task and responsibility is trustworthy Allah, honestly many human being skill in carrying out the trustworthy so that responsibility report rejected by Allah. Thats why, to further analyze about al-Mas’ul ‘an Ra‘iyyah in hadith prophet saw. the auther collects meaningfull data Ra‘iyyah (leader) by searching hadith’s saw, in this process the researcher finded four terms, are term Khalifah, term Imam, term Ulim Amri dan term Sultan. Abstract

Farid Esack dikenal sebagai tokoh humanis Afrika Selatan yang gagasan dan pergerakannya memberikan sumbangsih dan perubahan besar bagi Afrika Selatan dalam hal memperjuangkan kemanusiaan. dari gagasan dan pergerakannya tersebut penulis mencoba untuk mencari nilai-nilai pendidikan profetik lewat karyanya yaitu buku yang berjudul “Al-Qur’an, Liberalisme, Pluralisme, Membebaskan yang Tertindas”. Penelitian ini difokuskan pada apa saja nilai-nilai pendidikan profetik yang terdapat pada buku “Al-Qur’an, Liberalisme, Pluralisme, Membebaskan yang Tertindas karya Farid Esack”. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian pustaka (library ressearch). Data- data diperoleh dari tulisan-tulisan yang berbicara tentang pendidikan profetik dari buku tersebut. selanjutnya data dianalisis dengan menggunakan pendekatan content analysis. Nilai-nilai pendidikan profetik yang terdapat dalam buku “Al-Qur’an, Liberalisme, Pluralisme, Membebaskan yang Tertindas karya Farid Esack” antara lain terdapat tiga pilar, Transendensi: yaitu mengaitkan perilaku, tindakan, dan kejadian dengan ajaran kitab suci (Al-Qur’an). Liberasi: yaitu memihak rakyat kecil, menegakkan keadilan dan menghilangkan penindasan. Humanisasi: yaitu menjaga persaudaraan sesama meski berbeda agama, keyakinan, status sosial-ekonomi dan tradisi.

Abstract

After the reforms, there have been many changes in the social and religious structure in Indonesia, namely the emergence of Islamic extremism and radicalism. The explosion of terrorism in the name of Islam that occurred between 1998 and 2019 brought the face of Indonesian Islam to the spotlight in the world. In fact, the true Islam in Indonesia is Islam which emphasizes moderate principles (tawassuth / washatiah). Likewise, the Azzahir Assembly is one of the da'wah media containing blessings and da'wah as well as one of the assemblies that emphasizes the values of Islam rahmatan lil 'alamin. This Islamic characteristic becomes a stronghold of preventing radical religious ideology. The purpose of this study is to find out how the Azzahir Assembly can reduce Islamic radicalism in Indonesia. This study uses an epistemological-historical- holistic approach to explore the concept of Islamic moderation in the context of the Indonesian nation and the shallowness of religious reasoning. The subjects of this research are books, social media, news media or other sources that can be used as a reference. The object of this research is the Azzahir Assembly. Data collection techniques used were observation, collection of literature both books or online literature, and interviews. Data processing techniques used are data reduction, display, and verification then analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis. The results of this study are the Assembly of Azzahir as the Sholawat Council can be one of the media or tools in reducing Islamic radicalism in Indonesia.

Abstract

This academic discourse is normative-juridical and casuistic with the integration of Islamic legal studies in the context of Maqāṣid asy-Shari'ah which is aimed at the context of judicial administration by judges. This topic is examined because there is a practical ambiguity carried out by the Chief Justice in handling Baiq Nuril's legal case, namely justice which is the essence of the law in the judge's decision is not felt by Baiq Nuril. For this reason, the law produced in a judge's ruling should not only be in accordance with the laws and regulations. However, judges must also be able to examine substantively- inclusive outside normative law. In this case, the researcher uses literal- normative research methods with philosophical and normative-juridical approaches. The results of the study indicate that the judge's decision used to convict Baiq Nuril did not apply the value of legal justice which could lead to anomalies and a lack of public trust in the judiciary. Therefore, the implications of this study can lead to the context of the administration of justice by judges on the basis of legal justice.

Abstract

This writing talks about implementation of spoken moral insight in Quran at one of private school in Makassar, called SDIT Al Biruni Mandiri Jipang Makassar. In view of this era the morals of children have declined that proven by too many incidents were not supposed to happen. That happened because teaching and practicing about morals began to diminish so the student treats his teacher as he treats his friend. Consequently, in view of Quran is guidance of the mankind which talks about all of life problems in this world and here after, So, the main standard to set the concept as a rule that should be adhered to. The author is collecting information by learning quran verse was using term "qala" which has meaning the rule of speak. In this process the researcher finded nine terms, are "qaulan ma'rufa, qaulan sadidan, qaulan baligan, qaulan kariman, qaulan maisuran, qaulan layyinan, qaulan 'adziman, al-jahr bissu' dan ahsan qaulan." From this research has resulted that SDIT al-Biruni Mandiri Jipang Makassar, has taught and practiced the nine terms in school environment, but in makassar culture like iye and ki.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of active learning strategies in Islamic religious education subjects (PAI) in class VII MTs Ma'arif NU 1 Ajibarang Banyumas Regency. The importance of implementing active learning strategies in the learning process especially in Islamic Religious Education subjects is expected to reduce boredom or boredom in learners themselves. This type of research is field research. This study describes a process that occurs in the field in a descriptive form, while the approach used in this research is to use qualitative research. Data collection techniques using three techniques or triangulation, namely observation, interviews and documentation. The results showed that the application of active learning strategies in the PAI subjects conducted by MTs Ma'arif NU 1 Ajibarang Banyumas Regency was to adjust the subject matter, situation and conditions in learning. PAI teachers implement several active learning strategies namely, everyone is a teacher here (all can be teachers), card sort (sorting or choosing cards), team quiz (group quiz). This strategy is carried out as an effort of Islamic Religious Education teachers to provide convenience for students in understanding PAI lessons.

Abstract

In this era social media has become a necessity in the New Life Style. Ease of access makes it increasingly loved by all circles, especially teenagers increased from 38% to 72%. However, there is often a misuse of social media by its users, this can be used as a benchmark for the internal condition of the family, lack of knowledge and supervision. However this is a big problem for millennial generation in the future because of the inaccuracy in the use of gadgets can affect cognitive, psychomotor and decreased performance. Basically all the things that are done by children are so that they can meet the five needs, namely; Physiological needs, Safety needs, Belogingness and loves needs, Estem needs, and Self-actualization needs. So that the fulfillment of all these needs can be an appropriate action in dealing with social media abuse.

Abstract

Dunia pendidikan dalam beberapa aspeknya tidak lepas dari adanya proses belajar mengajar yang meniscayakan adanya relasi antara murid dan guru yang di dalamnya terdapat interaksi edukatif. Proses Interaksi edukatif adalah sesuatu proses yang didalamnya mengandung sejumlah etika atau norma. Etika dalam berinteraksi antara guru dan murid sangatlah penting karena dapat mempengaruhi suatu proses pembelajaran. Dalam Islam, al-Qur’an merupakan kitab pedoman dalam segala aspek kepentingan yang akan selalu sesuai dengan perkembangan zaman. Oleh sebab itu, etika murid kepada guru dalam sebuah pendidikan juga seharusnya berdasarkan yang diajarkan di dalam al-Qur’an, yang dipahami melalui penafsiran-penafsiran seorang mufassir. Adanya kasus kekerasan terhadap guru menunjukkan bahwa moralitas adalah permasalahan fundamental dalam dunia pendidikan dan perlu dijelaskan terkait etika seorang murid terhadap guru yang terdapat di dalam al-Qur’an. Salah satu kandungan al-Qur’an yang dapat dijadikan rujukan dalam hal tersebut, yaitu kisah Nabi Musa as. dalam surat al-Kahfi ayat 60-82, karena salah satu dari tujuan al-Qashash fi al-Qur’an yakni sebagai bahan pembelajaran dari umat-umat terdahulu. Hal lain yang terdapat dalam ayat tersebut ialah penjelasan tentang etika seorang Nabi Musa ketika berguru kepada Nabi Khidir as yang patut diteladani, seperti: Sopan Santun, Taat, bersedia menerima sanksi, sabar, dan etika lainnya.

Abstract

Al-Falah Al-Islamee School is located in Bannang Sata District, Yala Province- Thailand. Al-Falah is a school located in the border area between southern Thailand and Malaysia. This school is located in the village but has great expectations to be able to compete with other schools. One of the efforts to improve the quality of education is starting from teaching. Teaching English in Al-Falah is very important, this is done to prepare students to be able to communicate well. The problem of students in learning English is that they cannot be active and consider English difficult. Of course, it is the teacher's responsibility to be able to make the students understand by teaching them. The purpose of this study was to find out how the activity and effectiveness of English learning by Al-Falah Al-Islamee teachers based on planning stages of teaching, stages of teaching implementation, and teaching evaluation stage. In this case, the teacher of Al-Falah Al-Islamee has chosen visual media-based English teaching to make the atmosphere of student learning active, creative, and effective. In other words, students can easily understand English language learning. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive method. The research subjects are principals, English teachers, and students. The object in this study is a learning model using visual media-based English teaching. The data collection technique carried out in this study was a triangulation of data namely observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique in this study was the reduction of display data and verification and then analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis. The result of this study are that the development of learning using visual media-based English teaching is very effective, this can be seen from students who enthusiastically follow classroom learning and confidence in telling the events of the text. So that these learning activities support in achieving student learning achievements.
