Abstract

Acid (pH) and Total Dissolve Solid (TDS) are the two most important factors of the many parameters that must be considered to maintain water quality in Aquascape. A good normal pH for plant life in Aquascape is 6.8 and a good TDS for water in aquascape is below 150 ppm. This study aims to design an IOT system to maintain the pH and TDS of water in aquascapes. In this study using the fuzzy method as a controller and determinant of the added value of acid or wet water in the aquascape. The pH set in this system is between 6.5-7.3. This system maintains the pH by adding alkaline or acidic water into the aquascape, so that the pH of the water in the aquascape is at a predetermined safe limit. the TDS system will drain the water in the aquascape, and add water with a lower TDS level. By calculating how many additions are right to keep the TDS of water in the aquascape at 150ppm. The result of this research is a system design that is able to control the pH and TDS of water in Aquascape.

Abstract

Drought refers to a condition in which supply of water at a certain area gets decreasing. This sort of condition also occurs in Kepel Village, Kare District, Madiun Regency. During the dry season, the farmers who have land on the hilly area around the slope of Mount Wilis encounter difficulties in watering their plantation. The condition becomes worse as the plantation land is located at the mountain slope which is far from electricity access provided by PLN, while the source of water is below their land. To overcome this problem, PV can be used as a device to produce electrical energy due to several advantages such as environmentally friendly, low maintenance cost, and zero emission. Furthermore, the energy required for PV is always available in the nature or can be renewed (renewable energy). Hence, PV belongs to a solution for electrical source to generate a water pump. Since the pump needs AC source in 220V and 50Hz, the researcher developed an inverter through SPWM (Sinusoidal Pulse Width Modulation) method for changing DC current 24V to AC current 220 and 50Hz. In this context, the inverter was regulated in 290V AC and 51.150 Hz and when the water pump load 125W was given, the voltage gained 225V AC. The drop of voltage occurred because the load was induction motor. The results of testing this solar energy power station demonstrated that the water pump could fill the water reservoir 70l within 3.8 minutes and could water 1 are land. This test was carried out for 10 days at 08.00 am as it is the optimum sun light and the proper watering time for farmers.

Abstract

Potato is a staple food substitute that has a high consumption value. Potato productivity in Indonesia is still inadequate, especially for high-quality seeds. Agrobost is a biological fertilizer that contains microorganisms that can help provide nutrients for plants and can increase the productivity of potato plants. This study aims to determine the effect and optimum dose of agrobost biofertilizer on the growth and productivity of potato (Solanum tuberosum) Granola L variety. The research design used was a non-factorial randomized block design (RAK) with 6 levels of dose treatment and 4 repetitions. The doses used were 0 ml (d0/control), 5 ml (d1), 10 ml (d2), 15 ml (d3), 20 ml (d4), and 25 ml (d5). Parameters observed were plant height, number of leaves, plant wet weight, plant dry weight, total number of tubers, and total weight of tubers. The data obtained quantitatively were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) followed by a 5% honest real difference test (BNJ). It was found that the application of Agrobost biofertilizer had a significant effect on the weight of potato tubers but had no significant effect on plant height, number of leaves, fresh weight and dry weight of plants and the number of potato tubers. Agrobost biofertilizer with a dose of 20 ml/L produced the highest average tuber weight, which was 7.71 grams.
