Abstract

The aim of this study was to find out (1) To know the influence of active learning strategy video critic to students’ attention on the subject material global warming in grade VII of SMP Muhammadiyah Jayapura. (2). To know the influence of active learning strategy video critic to students’ learning result on the subject material global warming in grade VII of SMP Muhammadiyah Jayapura. The kind of the research is quantitative. The  research design used is Quasi Experimental Design in the form of Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population is all students grade VII of SMP Muhammadiyah Jayapura. The taking of sample is conducted with the technique of purposive sampling. And class VII D as the class control and VII D as class experiment. The instruments used are survey, observation, and objective test questions. The data is analyzed with the simple regression test. The result of the researchshows that : (1) There is significant influence to students’s attention in following learning process by using active learning strategy of video critic with the score of is bigger than  (2,90>2,045). (2) There is significant influence between the students’ learning result in the class experiment by using the active learning strategy video critic with the score of is bigger than  ( 2,292>2,045).

Abstract

Ethnobotanical and taxonomical studies are conducted to uncover the scientific name, uses as well as utilization of Diwoka (local name) popular to the Dani people in Wamena. The local name, Diwoka, is determined by its scientific name Piper macropiper Pennant. Piper macropiper has been used by the Dani people to serve as spices when foods are cooked traditionally by stone-fired earth oven (bakarbatu) or prepared in other ways such as stir-frying vegetables, fish, and meat. The leaves can be consumed uncooked the way salad is consumed beside it is functioned as medicine as well. The distribution of this type of plant is found in Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Australia (Northern territory), Brunei, and Sri Lanka

Abstract

Using conventional learning methods for students who get bored quickly and are not interested in chemistry lessons. These challenges require problem solving through the learning activities provided. Learning can be done with learning models that are appropriate to the characteristics of chemicals. One learning model that provides opportunities for participants to develop their knowledge through direct experience and indirect experience is the generative learning model. The sample in this study was class X as many as 34 people. The method in this research is the design of one group pretest posttest. The purpose of this study is to study and improve the learning outcomes of chemicals in chemical bonds (n-Gain) using generative learning models in automotive class X students of SMK Negeri 3 Jayapura. Learning that involves and enhances chemistry learning outcomes in chemical bonding materials (n-Gain) using generative learning models in automotive class X students of SMK Negeri 3 Jayapura with an average n-Gain value of RPP 1 of 0.62, RPP 2 of 0 68 and RPP 3 are 0.79. The average n-Gain value of RPP 1, RPP 2 and RPP 3 is 0.71 (high category).

Abstract

Variable calculus is a subject that requires students to have high mastery and competence. This is because the material presented requires students to think critically and creatively to solve problems. In fact the results of the previous semester's assessment analysis, the percentage of students who graduated with grades A or B was very low. The research method is research and development, with ADDIE development stages, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The results of the needs analysis showed that students need teaching material for calculus variable which is assisted by a technology of mathematical applications, where students' opinions on the need for a mathematical application such as geogebra software in learning, there are 66.7% of students strongly agree, and there are 33.3% agree . The validation results show that the average of all aspects of the assessment of teaching materials obtained an average of 4.29 means that the teaching materials are valid. The results of the practicality questionnaire analysis of the 20 students who took the lecture obtained an overall average of 4.28, which means practical. The results of student responses to the teaching material questionnaire from the aspects of teaching materials and learning activities obtained an average percentage of total positive responses of students amounted to 81.67% meaning that teaching materials are effectively used by students in learning
