Abstract

Constitutional guarantees and various formal policies cannot in themselves create gender equality and justice in real life. In reality, there are still various forms of gender inequality in various aspects of life. This is also found on the cover of the Kemuhammadiyah education book at the elementary school level. This research is a library research. The analysis used is critical discourse analysis. The aims of this research are as follows: to find out the critical discourse analysis of the Kemuhammadiyahn Education book cover grades III to VI; know the representation of gender and the role of women in the cover of Kemuhammadiyahan education books for grades III to VI. The results of the study explained that the male dominance was 79% and 21% female. Representation of social roles for men is displayed 82% in the public domain and for women 18% in the public domain.

Abstract

Teenagers who should be the future of the nation are now a scourge for the wider community. The problem of sexual violence, exploitation and prostitution is currently rife throughout Indonesia. Sexual violence cases in Tegal Regency were ranked number three highest in Central Java. The objectives of this study include: a). To find out the level of knowledge and attitudes of adolescents in Tegal Regency about sexual violence. b). To analyze the relationship between the level of knowledge and attitudes of adolescents about sexual violence in Tegal Regency. The research method used in this study is qualitative method. The results of research from 150 respondents who have been interviewed, show that adolescents still have low knowledge about sexual violence. The average of them does not know that they have become perpetrators or victims of sexual violence. Just knowing they don't, let alone realizing it to take action in responding to this. Knowledge of sexual violence, greatly influences the attitude of adolescents. The lack of knowledge of adolescents about sexual violence has led to the low attitude of adolescents in supporting the prevention of sexual violence, especially in Tegal Regency.

Abstract

Educational Institutions must address the rising incidence of sexual harassment against children by systematic prevention measures, such as the early introduction of sexual education. Conducting this research is crucial in order to ascertain the extent to which early childhood education institutions are implementing sexual education at a young age in accordance with children's developmental stages and in a consistent effort to prevent sexual harassment against children. The research employed a qualitative descriptive technique, conducted between July and September 2023. The subject of this study is the classroom teacher, while the informants are the curriculum teacher, the health-responsible teacher, and the school principal of BA Aisiyah Cawas. The methods employed for data collection encompassed observation, interviews, and documentation. To verify the validity of the research data, the researchers used the techniques of method triangulation and source triangulation. Meanwhile, data analysis methods include condensation, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings of this study indicate that Early Childhood Education Institutions can effectively reduce sexual harassment by adopting comprehensive sexual education programs that specifically target early-stage sexual education. The implemented measures encompass acquainting children with anatomical structures and their respective functions, instructing children on independent genital hygiene (toilet training), educating children on permissible and impermissible contact with body parts, segregating sleeping arrangements by gender, exemplifying healthy interpersonal relationships, fostering adherence to hygienic practices, and imparting knowledge on safeguarding oneself against sexual harassment. Abstract

Employee performance is an important determinant for the company. The company's ability to achieve goals, one of which is influenced by the performance of its employees. Employee performance in a company varies. Many companies whose employees are dominated by men, because argue that men have better performance than women. However, many studies explain that employee performance is not influenced by gender. This study aims to analyze employee performance in relation to gender. The research was conducted at a packaged beverage company in West Java. The sample of this research is 258 people from the company. Research using quantitative methods with descriptive analysis. Data obtained through literature studies and questionnaires. From the research results it is known that men and women have the same performance. Even if seen from the score, women outperformed men. Thus, companies must provide equal opportunities for men and women to work. Keywords: Employee performance, gender, men, women

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the emotional regulation experienced by widows who have experienced forced marriage. This study involved 3 participants. Participant 1 was 22 years old, participant 2 was 21 years old, and participant 3 was 19 years old. Extracting data on research participants using semi-structured interviews. This study uses an Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) approach. The data obtained were then analyzed using 7 steps in IPA, including: 1) Reading and re-reading; 2) Initial noting; 3) Developing emergent themes; 4) Arranging superordinate themes; 5) Proceed to the next case; 6) Look for patterns between cases; and 7) Arrangement of all superordinate themes. Themes that have similarities between research participants are then used to explain the experience and meaning of emotional regulation for widows who have experienced forced marriage. The results of this study indicate that a widow who has experienced forced marriage is able to regulate emotions by several processes, namely involving someone in taking an action or avoiding a situation to get something that is desired. Changing situations and diverting attention from unpleasant situations which aims to reduce the influence of emotions that arise. Keywords: emotional regulation, widows, forced marriage

Abstract

Feminism, as a social movement committed to fighting for gender equality, has undergone substantial adaptation in interacting with the digital era. The development of information and communication technology has facilitated the presence of the cyberfeminism movement. Cyberfeminism offers a critical perspective by combining the essence of feminism and the potential of technology to fight for gender equality and give voice to marginalized groups. This research examines how the Instagram account @womensmarchjkt, which hosts feminist demonstrations in public spaces based in Jakarta, optimizes Instagram features to promote gender equality in digital spaces. Through this research, we will examine in more depth how the Instagram account @womensmarchjkt applies concepts that represent the cyberfeminism movement. This research uses a qualitative content analysis method to obtain a description of the content and substantial matters from the Instagram account @womensmarchjkt, which includes content, feeds, reels, and highlights from May to July 2023. Data collection techniques through literature studies were used to obtain the data. Secondary theoretical and conceptual references and using source triangulation validation techniques to reduce bias and strengthen research results. Then, reviewing the representation theory put forward by Stuart Hall, it was found that the Instagram account @womensmarchjkt could be categorized as a representation of the cyberfeminism movement. The @womensmarchjkt account not only voices women's issues but also creates a discussion forum and positive mutual interaction. The Instagram account @womensmarchjkt actively educates audiences regarding issues of women and marginalized groups and creates space to share experiences and support each other Keywords: Cyberfeminism; digital space; Instagram @womensmarchjkt; representation.
