Abstract

This Research aims to develop Student Activity Worksheet (LKPD) based on ICARE of determination of the enthalpy changes subject for class XI SMA/MA valid based on content feasibilities, characteristics ICARE, linguistic, presentation, and graphics. The type of this research is development research (Research and Development) with the process referring to the plomp development model. The object of this research is LKPD based on ICARE. Data collection instruments was a validation sheets filled by 3 validators, the results of the validity data analysis of feasibility aspect of content, characteristics of ICARE, language, presentation and graphics are 92,59%, 96,67%, 95%, 97,22%, and 95,83% with valid category. LKPD that has been valid by validators was tested on 20 students and got response results with score 3,45 with very good criteria, and 3 teachers got response result with score 3,6 with very good criteria. From results of analysis data can conclusion that LKPD based on ICARE developed was valid and can be applied for determination of the enthalpy changes subject.

Abstract

This study aims to develop student worksheets based on the ARCS model on ionic equilibrium and pH of the buffer solution subject, determining the validity of student worksheets of the aspects of content, ARCS characteristics, language, presentation, graphics and find out user responses through student worksheets based on ARCS models on ionic equilibrium and pH buffer solution subject. This research is a Research and Development (R&D) with a 4-D development model. The object of this research is student worksheets based on the ARCS model. The data collection instruments were in the form of validation sheets given to three validators and user questionnaires given to teachers and students. After two revisions, the validity results obtained in the aspects of content, ARCS characteristics, language, presentation and graphics, respectively, namely 93.75%, 93.75%, 98.33%, 97.92% and 98%. the average score was 96.33% that comes to valid criteria. student worksheets which was valid by the validator tested one by one on 3 students who had studied the ion balance and pH of the buffer solution. Furthermore, asking for response to 3 chemistry teachers and 20 students resulted the teacher’s response and resultied a student response 91.07% and 79.73% that comes to very good criteria. Based on the results of the data analysis, it concluded that student worksheets based on the ARCS model was valid and can be used during high school chemistry lessons on the ion balance and pH of buffer solution subject.

Abstract

Science literacy was the capacity to use scientific knowledge, to identify questions, to draw a conclusion based on the facts, evidence, and data in order to understand and help researchers to make decisions about the natural world and human interactions with the nature. This research aimed at knowing the effect of implementing Science, Technology, and Society (STS) learning model toward student science literacy ability on Electrolyte and non-Electrolyte Solution lesson at State Senior High School 2 Tambang. It was a quasi-experimental research with non-equivalent control group design. Purposive sampling technique was used in this research. The data were obtained from test and interview. The research findings showed that the score of Sig. (2-tailed) 0.000 was smaller than 0.05 (0.000<0.05), and tobserved was higher than ttable (11.564>1.667). Based on the basis for decision making in Independent Sample t- test, it could be concluded that Ha was accepted and H0 was rejected. It meant that there was an effect of implementing STS learning model toward student science literacy ability on Electrolyte and non- Electrolyte Solution lesson at State Senior High School 2 Tambang with the coefficient of effect 18.2%.

Abstract

This study aims to develop E-LKPD based on Discovery Learning using the Adobe Acrobat 11 Pro Extended application on the ion balance and pH of salt solution for class XI SMA / MA, to determine the validity of E-LKPD based on aspects of content feasibility, characteristics of Discovery Learning, linguistic aspects, presentation aspects, graphic aspects, size, cover design, content design and knowing the user's response to the developed E-LKPD. This development research is a type of Research and Development (R&D) with the Plomp development model. The data collection instruments are in the form of validation sheets given to two material validators and two media validators, as well as user response questionnaires for teachers and students. After two revisions, the validity results obtained by the material validator on the content feasibility aspect were 94.44%, the characteristic aspects of Discovery Learning were 95.83%, the presentation aspects were 90%, the linguistic aspects were 90.62% and the graphic aspects were 93.5% which each of these aspects is included in the valid criteria. Furthermore, the results of data analysis obtained validity by the media validator on the graphic aspect which included the E-LKPD size of 100%, the cover design was 90.63%, and the content design was 94.32%, each of which was categorized as valid. E-LKPD which has been declared valid by the validator is tested one by one on 3 students who have studied the ion balance and pH of the salt solution. Then ask for a response questionnaire to 3 chemistry teachers and 20 students. The results of the teacher's response were 95.55% including very high and practical criteria, the results of students' responses were 90.75% including interesting criteria. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that the E-LKPD based on Discovery Learning using the Adobe Acrobat 11 Pro Extended application produced was validated and can be used in high school chemistry subjects on ion balance and pH of salt solution.

Abstract

This research aimed at increasing student learning achievement on Ion and pH Saline Solution Equilibrium lesson by using Schoology blanded Learninglearning model. Qualitative method was used in this research with quasi- experimental research design. All the eleventh-grade students of Natural Science of State Senior High School 1 TapungHilir in the Academic Year of 2018/2019 were the population of this research, and the samples were the eleventh-grade students of Natural Science 1 as the experimental group and the students of Natural Science 2 as the control group. Pretest-posttest control group design was used in this research. Sampling was done by using random technique. Analyzing the data was using one-way ANOVA. The data were analyzed by using inferential statistic with the help of SPSS 16.0 software. The results of calculating the data showed that the score of Sig. was lower than α, the significance score was 0.003. It showed that the learning achievement mean on Ion and pH Saline Solution Equilibrium lesson was increasing through the use of Schoology based Blended Learning. It could be concluded that there was an effect of using Schoology- based Blended Learning toward student learning achievement on Ion and pH Saline Solution Equilibrium lesson.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the water content of the wells of the people of Manduro Village, Kabuh District, Jombang Regency. Another objective is to know the impact of the water content of the well. This type of research is a case study by exploring various in-depth and actual information. Information gathering was carried out from March to April 2021. The methods used were literature review and land observation. The respondents used were 30 people from Manduro Village and 15 dug and drilled wells. Observation results show that the well is polluted by a fairly high lime content, resulting in considerable losses. The well is also polluted by the content of ammonia (NH3), metal iron (Fe) and metal manganese (Mn). The water quality in Menduro Village, in terms of physical water, contains a fishy smell and smell of rust, a cloudy color, and causes a yellow color attached to the bucket or water storage container, bathroom wall. It identifies that the water contains Fe (Iron) which exceeds the quality. Some of the water also smells of ammonia due to the location of the well which is close to the poultry house and also the disposal of industrial waste. Efforts are being made to make water treatment separate from the water content mixed by the mining soil, the unpleasant odor due to industrial waste, while the efforts of the mine owners have not been realized. water away from the earth mine. Abstract

Banana peel is one of the wastes that can pollute the environment so it needs to be utilized. One of the ingredients in kepok banana peels is starch (carbohydrates). Banana peel starch can be converted into glucose by hydrolysis method. This study aimed to find out the effect of banana peel starch suspension levels on the reaction kinetics of the hydrolysis process. The hydrolysis process used 2 N oxalic acid with reaction times of 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 minutes and the levels of suspension of kepok banana peel starch (gr/mlcamp) were 10/250, 20/250 and 30/250. The results showed that the optimum results were obtained at a suspension content of 10/250 gr/ml with a reaction conversion reaching 35% at a time of 50 minutes at a constant temperature of 100°C.
