Abstract

Oyster mushroom’s mycelium was inoculated by sorgum media’s seed were done. FTIR analisys in 400-4000 cm-1 of wave length showed that oyster mushroom’s mycelium possessed of O-H, C-H, C-O, and C=O molecul. O-H molecul showed β-glucan and C-H, C-O, and C=O molecul showed aldehyd, ester, and keton cluster. Keywords: cluster, FTIR, mycelium, oyster mushroom, sorgum.

Abstract

The production of white oyster mushroom with a variation of load time baglog after an incubation period has been investigated. Based on the results obtained FTIR molecular C-O, C=O, C-H, and O-H on oyster mushrooms. Molecules C-O, C=O, and C-H indicates carbohydrates and O-H molecules indicate the presence of water. The results obtained from the characterization of Fourier Transform Infrared showed the opening day 35th after incubation mass has a moisture content which is small compared with the opening day 40th day and the 45th day. Abstract

Ionizing radiation as part of nuclear energy has been implemented in medical fields for diagnostic and therapy intention. An important factor for achieving radiation safety in the utilizations of ionizing radiation sources is the presence of competent personal. A literature study on standard competencies of Radiation Protection Officer (RPO) for improving of regulation has been conducted. The improvement of regulation on RPO competencies should cover requirements for responsibility and authority, leveling and classification, education and training qualification, also personal competencies standards. Based on radiation risk in the utilization of ionizing radiation in medical fields, Medical RPO is leveling in to Medical RPO Level 1, 2, and 3. Medical RPO competencies standards should consider knowledge, skills, and attitudes aspects that comply with National Working Competency Standards that suitable for each RPO level. The identified competencies standard than should be expressed in to training subjects that divided as general, basic, main, and practical subjects. For each training subjects should be created detail basic competencies and working success indicators. This parameter becomes a basic for curricula, syllabus, teaching material and planning. The competency standard is basic for conducting training by personal training agency, and for arranging and conducting personal testing by personal certification agency. Abstract

Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) on thin layer of conductive 50:1 PVA-coated silver nanoparticles ( AgNPs@PVA ) 0.02 M on 11-20 nm using Otto Configuration have been observed for monitoring cholesterol level of crude palm oil time-cooking for food-cholesterol. Its has been proved gap between prism/air/silver on 850 nm. Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) phenomenon analyzed by HeNe laser on ( = 632,8 nm ). SPR curvature has been showed by observing reflectance of laser incident angle variation on the prism. SPR angle for the prism/Ag system is (44.4 ± 0.05)° with the reflectance value on 0.8. Due to the addition of AgNPs@PVA ,also after the reaction for one-time cooking of with quail eggs ( high-cholesterol/high-unsaturated fatty ), SPR angle shifts to (47,8 ± 0.05)° with the reflectance value on 0.58 using MATLAB simulation. The shifting on SPR angle shows that the sensitivity SPR is a biosensor. Keywords : surface plasmon resonance (SPR), Otto configuration, cholesterol food.

Abstract

Tenaga medis seringkali mengalami kesulitan dalam menemukan pembuluh darah vena pasien yang obesitas, memiliki luka bakar, dan anak-anak atau bayi, sehingga diperlukan alat penunjang untuk dapat mengetahui letak pembuluh darah dengan tepat. Pencitraan near-infrared dapat digunakan untuk memvisualisasikan pembuluh darah vena dengan memanfaatkan sifat optik pada jaringan dan darah. Namun saat proses pencitraan, pengaturan perangkat keras dapat menurunkan kualitas citra yang dihasilkan. Pada penelitian ini akan dilakukan peningkatan kualitas citra pembuluh darah vena menggunakan gabungan metode Contrast Limited Adaptive Histogram Equalization (CLAHE) dan Histogram Equalization (HE), pengolahan citra dilakukan dengan menggunakan bahasa pemrograman Python dan library OpenCV. Citra hasil pengolahan kemudian dianalisis kualitasnya dengan metode Statistik Representasi Visual (SRV) berdasarkan nilai rata-rata dan nilai standar deviasi citra. Dari hasil analisis, citra pembuluh darah vena yang dihasilkan memiliki kualitas yang baik dengan tingkat kecerahan dan kontras sesuai dengan kriteria metode SRV. Kata kunci: Contrast Limited Adaptive Histogram Equalization, Histogram Equalization, Statistik Representasi Visual, pembuluh darah vena.

Abstract

Currently, cobalt-60 teletherapy units still often used for radiotherapy treatments in Indonesia. An in-house treatment planning systems (TPS) was developed by Medical Physics and Biophysics Laboratory (LFMB) Universitas Indonesia as a treatment planning software of cobalt-60 beams. Performance validation of TPS calculation is an important parameter in radiotherapy quality assurance (QA). Measurements of absorbed dose using fixed SSD treatment technique were done for 44 planning test case datasets for open beam condition with different field sizes and depths of target (isocenter). A mean dose deviations (1.810 ± 2.469) % indicate that in-house TPS calculations for open beam conditions appropriate for clinical tolerances of TPS calculation. Abstract

Sugar is optically an active substance that has a ability to rotate the direction of vibration light passing through it. The aim of this research is to study the influence of concentrations of various sucrose solutions to the light polarization angle. As a light source was used red laser pointer with wavelength of 650 nm, green laser pointer with wavelength of 532 nm, and yellow light source from halogen lamp projecteur with maximum power of 150 watt. The solution used including three kinds of sugar, there were Tropicana Slim, Gulaku sugar, and MK, with each concentration was 10%, 20%, 30%, 40% and 50%. The angle of polarization were varied from 0o, 30o, and 60o with each ot the angle is repeated as much as 10 times, then it was sought analisator angle corresponding to the minimum light intensity transmission. The data processing is done by the weighted average techniques, and then made curve the relations between concentration of analisator angle to angle of polarization. The result of the research indicate that concentration of sugar and wavelength influence the change of polarization angle. The higher the concentration of sugar the larger the angle of polarization. The changes of polarization angel from the biggest were Tropicana Slim, Gulaku and MK. While for the wavelength, the smaller of the wavelength the larger the changes of total polarization angle. The changes of polarization angel from the biggest were green laser, yellow light, and red laser. Key words: polarization, optical substance, wavelength, sugar solution

Abstract

THz spectrum falls between infrared and microwave regions of electromagnetic spectrum, and it shares some properties with each of this. Field change with thermoregulation rise is caused by absorption in tissue cell. It describes a dynamic behavior problem of THz heat transfer in tissue which it is derived using a modified bio-heat conduction equation for THz photons. The design and its solving use an analog computer method to predict temperature in tissue as a function of space at steady state and as a function of time during transient state. Test of modeling applies sub millimeter wavelengths in range from 0.3 mm to 3 mm. Results are compared to other numerical methods in a range close to far infrared for studying behaviors of its absorption in tissue and their thermal parameters. They perform for all are almost the same approach. The parameters obtained between model and experiment data are quite accurate with the uncertainty or a propagation error is 0.08 %. Abstract

The successful establishment of oyster mushroom seeds depend on Potato Dextrose Agar (PDA). In this study,the sterilization level of media varied from level 1 to 3. For each sterilization level, PDA were steamed at 102 0C for 60 minutes. The best result was found at third level that was showed by growing of mycelium. All of spread seeds (F1) produced were good and not contaminated. The result of growing spread seeds by using sorghum media were not contaminated. The characterization result of FTIR mycelium from pure culture (F0), spread seeds (F1), and planting seeds (F2) indicated the stretching vibration. Stretching vibration showed of several functional groups. They were C-O, C-N, C=O, C-H, O-H, and β-D-glukan. Keywords: FTIR, functional groups, mycelium, sorghum media.

Abstract

Cassava waste by product from tapioca flour. For reducing environmental pollution cassava waste be use biodegradable plastics by adding polivinil asetat as adhesive and glycerol as plastisizer. The aim of this research is for knowing physical characteristic of biodegradable plastic.Ratio betwen cassava west and polivinil asetat (wt%) are 9:1; 8:2;7:3;6:4. Tensile strength and elongation result from this research for 6:4 ratio’s are 0,1019 ± 0,339 MPa and 26,178%. Tensile strength and elongation for 9:1, ratio’s are 0,1659 ± 0,035 MPa and 22,386%.
