Abstract

Education is the learning of knowledge, skills and habits of a group of people passed down from one generation to the next through teaching, training or research. The development of education in Indonesia has indeed gone through a very long way. From time to time there is a transformation of education so that the direction of education in Indonesia is even better. Education transformation in Indonesia usually begins with the curriculum used, teacher teaching techniques, how to access lessons and so on. You could say that education in Indonesia is now better, especially with the presence of increasingly sophisticated technology. One of the educational programs in Indonesia is the teaching campus. Campus teaching is a program where students can practice their knowledge in a designated school. The teaching campus itself has been implemented in various public and private campuses in Indonesia. North Sumatra University is one of the universities that organizes teaching campuses. However, the University of North Sumatra has introduced its own version of the teaching campus concept, which is referred to as USU's partner teaching campus. The aim of this program is to improve the quality of education in the province of North Sumatra. And students of the Social Welfare Study Program can run USU's partner teaching campus programs while carrying out field work practices.

Abstract

Realizing the services needed by the community is the task of bureaucrats who are in the government bureaucracy. Mojokerto Regency as one of the regions in Indonesia also has a duty to provide quality public services to the community. Therefore, the application of bureaucratic Ethics in the quality of public services in the Mojokerto Regency KPU is very important to improve the quality of public services in the area. The purpose of this study was to determine how the application of bureaucratic Ethics in the quality of public services in the Mojokerto Regency Commission. This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods with data collection through observation and interview. The result of this study is that the Mojokerto Regency KPU has made several efforts to implement bureaucratic Ethics in public services. By applying bureaucratic Ethics in public services, the Mojokerto Regency KPU provides better public services and fulfills the rights of the community to obtain quality public services. In addition, these efforts can also increase public confidence in the bureaucracy and local government. Therefore, the application of bureaucratic Ethics in the quality of public services in the Mojokerto Regency KPU is very important to improve the quality of public services in the area.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought changes to the world including Indonesia with various challenges and even presents various new policies, causing various impacts, one of which is the impact on the economic sector. This study aims to determine the effect of local taxes, local levies and special allocation funds on capital expenditure. This study uses a quantitative method with a research population of 45 data on the realization of district and city APBDs in Bali Province in 2017-2021. The number of samples obtained using the saturated sampling technique is 9 districts and cities with observations for 5 years with the period 2017-2021. The data collection techniques in this research are literature study and documentation study. The test tool used to test the data is the panel data regression analysis test using Eviews version 12. A series of tests conducted produces data that can prove that partially local taxes and local retribution have a significant and positive effect, while special allocation funds have no effect on capital expenditure. While simultaneously local taxes, local levies and special allocation funds affect capital expenditure.

Abstract

Education and social change are two things that are related to each other and cannot be separated. Education is an institution that can be used as an agent of social change and at the same time can determine the direction of social change which is called development in society. The research objective is to find out the role of education in social change and the process of the impact of social change. The focus of this research is what is the role of education in social change and how is the process of the impact of social change. The method used by researchers is a qualitative research method with a descriptive type that collects data from interviews, documentation, and field observations. The results of this study that 1). The role of education towards social change in schools is to be able to create a lot of interaction and character building which is very necessary so that it is very beneficial for future generations 2). The impact on human life, technological changes that occur can make it easier for people such as teachers and students to find information with a lot of time, even searching for information can be done anywhere and anytime and social changes can make it easier to process data and school grades to help developers due to technological advances.

Abstract

As part of Indonesian citizens, it is appropriate for people with disabilities to receive the rights that should be granted by the State.  However, in reality, not all people with disabilities have these rights.  This research aims to find out the role of the Labuhanbatu Regency Social Service in providing services to people with disabilities.  The technique used for collecting data was conducting field studies, namely by conducting observations, interviews and documentation.  Apart from that, literature studies are also carried out, searching for information and reviewing scientific books, newspapers, written works that are related to the problem under study and other literature references.  Based on the research that has been carried out, the results of this research show that the services for people with disabilities at the Labuhanbatu Regency Social Service are that the Social Service plays a role in providing services to people with disabilities in Labuhanbatu, the role carried out is in the form of entrepreneurship development, providing basic necessities and also wheelchairs.  The obstacles to implementation are the large area, lack of field staff to collect data and lack of budget from the government to provide services.

Abstract

Organization is a social system that can be easily found regardless of the form, purpose, pattern or scope of the organization. In carrying out its social functions, there is often a change that affects the organizational life or what is commonly called organizational dynamics, changes in the organization are something that cannot be avoided. Like other organizations, Student Organizations are also dynamic with the problems they face, such as the existence of a new policy issued by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Higher Education, namely the Kampus Merdeka Program. This study aims to analyze the dynamics that occur in student organizations in the midst of the Merdeka Campus program based on theories, variables and realities that explain how the dynamics in the body of the student organization are. This research itself was carried out at the USU's FISIP. This research is a qualitative type with data collection techniques in the research carried out by combining (triangulation) from the process of in-depth interviews, observation and documentation. Then the data will be analyzed by researchers qualitatively and end with conclusions drawn from the results of the research that has been done. Based on the results of the research, the authors found that student organizations at USU's FISIP also dynamically followed the implementation of the Kampus Merdeka program. In the discussion, the researcher found that currently many programs and activities from student organizations were not carried out due to the large number of administrators participating in the independent campus program. has begun to decrease along with the implementation of the Kampus Merdeka program.

Abstract

college students have a significant role and influence, as well as a significant contribution to various areas and in the midst of social life. The role they have, college students certainly have a number of social functions in society, which are generally fulfilled and carried out by utilizing the presence of student organizations in each faculty. The main informants in this study active FISIP USU college students who were also active in internal and external campus organizations. Additional informants consisted of one FISIP USU lecturer, as well as a key informant who was the Deputy Dean I of FISIP USU who oversaw Academic, Student Affairs and Alumni and directly interacted with college student and organizational activities at FISIP USU. The data collection technique in this study was carried out by merging (triangulation) of in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. Data will be analyzed by the researcher qualitatively and ended with drawing conclusions from the research results that have been conducted. The aim of this study to find out and analyze how the role and social functioning from students who are active in organizations in the Faculty of Social and Political SciencesUniversity of Northern Sumatra.The results of the study showed that there were already efforts by active college student organizations in FISIP USU to carry out their social functions, but there were differences in the ability to perform their social functions, both from internal student organizations such as the Department Student Association, to external campus organizations such as HMI and KMK, even though in their implementation there were still strengths and weaknesses of internal and external organizations..

Abstract

Education is important for children as a provision of knowledge in facing adult life. Children with visual impairments also need education as a preparation for adult life in the future, coupled with their limitations which require that the education they receive is not in the form of general learning activities, but has special methods and techniques so as that learning outcomes can be received optimally. Regardless, the learning activities of children with visual impairments involve independence as a learning accomplishment and focus on functional activities with the hope of increasing their motor,tactile, and auditory sensitivity. The functional curriculum exists as an educational service for children with visual impairments to improve their academic and motor skills, as well as build the child's independence. The purpose of this study was to find out how the implemented functional curriculum can increase independence in children with visual impairments at Yayasan Pendidikan Dwituna Harapan Baru Kota Medan. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive approach. Qualitative descriptive research is research that describes, explains, reveals and summarizes various existing conditions and situations from the results of research facts in the field. Data collection techniques were carried out by observing and interviewing. Based on the research that has been done, the results of the research show that the application of a functional curriculum is to provide learning based on the functions and benefits of learning activities given to blind children with independent characteristics at the Yayasan Pendidikan Dwituna Harapan Baru Kota Medan. Abstract

Social interaction is important in social life, including for the elderly. With the establishment of good social interaction, it will make the elderly feel at home and comfortable living in an elderly home. However, if the social interaction between the elderly, caregivers and companions is not good, it will create a sense of competition and tend to experience sadness in the elderly. The purpose of this research is to find out how the process of social interaction is formed between fellow elderly, caregivers, and companions at the Panti Lansia Binjai and the inhibiting factors of social interaction among fellow elderly, caregivers and companions. This study used a q ualitative research method with a descriptive approach. In collecting data using direct observation methods, interviews and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data display and conclusion. The research results obtained are social interaction processes, namely associative processes in the form of cooperation, accommodation and assimilation and dissociative processes in the form of competition, conflict and quarrels. The social interactions that occur between the elderly, caregivers and companions at the Panti Lansia Binjai can be seen through the establishment of communication in the form of conversation, mutual understanding, cooperation, openness and empathy, mutual support/motivation, having a positive feeling and a sense of similarity with others, where it is an indicator of social interaction.

Abstract

Fishermen are groups of individuals who carry out fishing and other aquatic biota in various types of waters, including fresh, brackish, and marine waters. Fishermen are communities that live on the coast and rely on marine catches for their livelihood. Although fraught with risks, the fishing profession is often passed down from generation to generation in Indonesia. However, their economic conditions are often affected by various factors, including climate problems such as famine seasons that occur every year. BPS 2013 data shows that fishermen and fishing communities play a large role in Indonesia's poverty rate. This study adopts a qualitative approach, by applying direct interviews with fishermen and document collection as data collection methods. Research findings show that fishermen face challenges in fishing, especially during high sea waves and lean seasons. In West Overtime Village, North Central Alor District, fishermen have difficulty finding fish because of the large rompong that affects the movement of fish in these waters. This condition encourages most fishermen to switch professions to become farmers to meet their daily needs. In small fishing communities, visible traits include the use of small-scale fishing gear, uncertain income, independent operations, and simple skills. Social and geographical isolation are also influencing factors, along with low levels of well-being. This research provides an in-depth understanding of the conditions and challenges faced by fishing communities and their impact on their welfare. Therefore, this research makes a valuable contribution in understanding the lives of fishermen in coastal Indonesia.
