Abstract

The newborn mortality rate is one of the indicators used to describe the health status of the community. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), in 2015 the infant mortality rate in the world reached 54 per 1000 live births, in developing countries the infant mortality rate was relatively high and very varied, reaching 11-68 per 1000 live births, while in Southeast Asia the IMR reached 39 per 1000 live births, of which 21% are caused by infection (WHO, 2016). The reason is because there is still a lack of knowledge of mothers in caring for newborns, especially for preventing infection of the umbilical cord. This study aims to describe the knowledge of postpartum mothers regarding umbilical cord care in newborns. This type of research is in the form of a literature review with a descriptive method. This literature search is through publications in two databases, namely Pubmed and Google Scholar. The search strategy method for obtaining journals uses the keywords "Umbilical Cord Care" or "Knowledge". Furthermore, from the search results, the researcher found 179 articles using PubMed, and 6,080 using the appropriate Google Scholar based on keywords. After that, a title screening was carried out according to the topic of the literature review, obtained 4,100 articles and obtained 17 articles that met the inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria. The results of the study obtained 17 articles that examined the level of knowledge of mothers about umbilical cord care. The conclusion of this study is that the level of mother's knowledge influences the care of the umbilical cord in order to reduce the incidence of umbilical cord infection. It is hoped that health workers can play an active role in providing education to the public and can improve the quality and quantity of services so that they can detect abnormalities in pregnant women from an early age and increase counseling about umbilical cord care

Abstract

Anemia is one of the problems of various public health problems that globally affect 1.62 billion people in the world. Anemia in young women is still a big public health problem because the prevalence is still around 20%, which is 21.7%. Anemia status in adolescents is thought to be influenced by several factors, namely knowledge and adherence to taking iron tablets. The purpose of this study was to describe and analyze the relationship between knowledge and adherence to blood supplement consumption with the incidence of anemia in young women. This study used a systematic review design obtained from Google Scholar and PubMed which was then filtered according to inclusion and exclusion criteria. There is a significant relationship between adherence to blood supplement consumption and the incidence of anemia in young women in Indonesia. This means that the more obedient in consuming iron tablets, the female adolescent Hb level will increase. Based on the results of the analysis conducted, it was found that the incidence of anemia in young women was influenced by adherence in taking iron tablets.

Abstract

Adolescence is a stage or phase between childhood and adulthood. Growth and development in adolescence is very fast both physically and psychologically. The reproductive organs in women begin to function with one of the characteristics, namely the start of menstruation. In general, women experience menstruation accompanied by pain or dysmenorrhea. Dysmenorrhea is a gynecological complaint caused by an imbalance of the hormone progesterone which causes pain. There are many causes of dysmenorrhea, one of which is diet. Adolescents who have poor nutritional status can cause disruption of the function of the reproductive organs. One way to prevent menstruation from causing pain is by consuming a balanced nutritional diet. This literature review aims to determine the relationship between diet and the incidence of dysmenorrhea in adolescents. The type of research used is a literature review with a descriptive method. This literature review uses articles or journals that can be accessed in full text. These results were obtained in 5 journals which stated that diet and the incidence of dysmenorrhea had a significant relationship. 4 journals stated that diet had no significant relationship with the incidence of dysmenorrhea and 6 journals mentioned other factors that cause dysmenorrhea and the impact of dysmenorrhea itself. The relationship between diet and the incidence of dysmenorrhea depends on a person's nutritional status.

Abstract

The menstrual cycle is a complex series of events that influence each other and occur simultaneously. The menstrual cycle can be affected by stress factors. Stress is a perception of threat or of an image of displeasure that moves, alerts or activates the organism. The World Health Organization (WHO) in 2015 stated that the problems of youth in the world are around problems regarding menstrual disorders (38.45%). Menstrual disorders that are not treated can affect the quality of life and daily activities. Menstrual irregularity affects 2-5% of women of childbearing age, a much higher number among women who are under constant stress during their cycles. Objective is to study the effect of perceived stress on cycle length, regularity and dysmenorrhea. This type of research is literature review, using one database, namely pubmed. The keywords used are stress, teenage, menstrual. After being selected, eight literatures were obtained consisting of a cross-sectional method by filling out a questionnaire.
