Abstract

Instant cereal is an alternative food to replace staple foods, especially for breakfast that is rich in nutrition. A study has been conducted that aims to characterize the effect of the composition of banana flour and sorghum flour on the quality of instant cereal drinks. This study used a one-factor factorial design, namely the ratio of banana flour and sorghum flour with six treatment levels, namely P1K1 (0%:100%), P2K2 (20%:80%), P3K3 (40%:60%), P4K4 (60%:40%) and P5K5 (80%:20%), P6K6 (100%:0%). Physical analysis conducted on instant cereal drinks resulted in a yield of 94.70% to 94.70%, an absorption capacity of 1.20% to 1.50%, a viscosity of 49.15 mPa.s to 89.71 mPa.s, and a humidity of 1.69% to 3.24%. Chemical analysis yielded a moisture content of 1.55% to 2.61%, a protein content of 3.30% to 6.27%, and a fiber content of 2.04% to 3.05%. The best treatment analysis for appearance parameters yielded a value of 0.87 and an effectiveness value of 1.00. The feasibility analysis yielded a R/C ratio of 1.20.

Abstract

This study aims to develop Augmented Reality (AR)-based learning media to facilitate the visualization of human organs in high school Biology instruction. The research background stems from students’ low comprehension of organ structures and functions, as well as the limited availability of interactive learning media in schools. The study employs a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The final product is an Android-based mobile application that presents 3D models of human organs through marker scanning. Validation results indicated that the media was rated as highly feasible by both material experts and media experts with a score of 100%, while student trials revealed a positive response with a score of 85%, categorized as highly feasible. These results confirm that the developed AR media is valid, practical, and effective in enhancing students’ understanding of human organs. The implication of this research is that AR can serve as an innovative alternative for developing Biology learning media in high schools.

Abstract

The integration of administration and learning in madrasas still faces obstacles, including at MI Nurul Falah Rawa Mekar Jaya, where administrative management and English and Arabic language learning have not been optimal. This study aims to develop a website-based digital platform capable of integrating these two aspects to improve the efficiency and quality of learning. The study used the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model through the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation, involving teachers and 30 fifth-grade students as trial subjects. The research instrument was a validation questionnaire from media experts, material experts, and student responses. The results showed that the media expert validation was 72.5% (valid), material experts 91% (very valid), and student responses 86.25% (very practical). These findings confirm that the developed digital platform is not only feasible to use but also effective in improving student learning outcomes while simplifying madrasah administration management, thus having implications for improving the quality of technology-based education in the madrasah environment.

Abstract

Local e-commerce often faces difficulties in providing relevant product recommendations due to diverse catalogs and heterogeneous user preferences. This study designs a hybrid recommendation system for VariasiMotorJKT by combining Market Basket Analysis (MBA) and Collaborative Filtering (CF). The data used are Completed orders from the VariasiMotorJKT store on Shopee for the period July–August 2024 with key attributes such as product name, quantity, buyer username, order time, and total price. The MBA component is extracted using Apriori/FP-Growth to build a “Frequently Bought Together” module, while the CF component (primarily user-based) generates personalized “For You” recommendations. Both are combined through a weighting/reranking scheme and stock filtering so that recommendations are ready to be displayed on product and cart pages. The evaluation is planned offline using chronological data sharing (train/validation/test) and Precision@K, Recall@K, MAP/NDCG@K, and Coverage metrics. The system is expected to improve product navigation, cross-sell/up-sell opportunities, and the quality of store owners’ merchandising decisions. The prototype was developed in a web environment (HTML/CSS, XAMPP) with a simple ETL pipeline for cleaning and basket/interaction matrix generation. The research results are expected to provide practical contributions for e-commerce SMEs and academic contributions as a case study for the application of data mining techniques for recommendations.

Abstract

Mountain climbing activities are highly influenced by dynamic weather conditions; therefore, a system capable of accurately predicting daily weather is essential. This study focuses on comparing the performance of two machine learning algorithms — Support Vector Regression (SVR) and Extreme Gradient Boosting (XGBoost) — in developing a daily weather prediction system. Weather data were obtained from the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) with parameters including minimum temperature, maximum temperature, average temperature, humidity, rainfall, solar radiation, maximum wind speed, and wind direction. The research stages include data collection, preprocessing, model training using SVR and XGBoost, and performance evaluation using Mean Absolute Error (MAE), Root Mean Square Error (RMSE), Accuracy, and R² metrics. The results show that the SVR algorithm performs better than XGBoost in predicting daily weather data, particularly for temperature and humidity variables, with more stable accuracy across various observation stations.

Abstract

Flooding in DKI Jakarta is a hydrometeorological disaster that requires an accurate early warning system. The main problem with current prediction systems is the limitation in integrating climate data from upstream (Bogor) with hydrological conditions downstream (Jakarta). This research aims to build and compare machine learning classification models to address this issue. The methods used are Extreme Gradient Boosting (XGBoost) and Random Forest, utilizing integrated data covering rainfall (Jakarta and Bogor) and Water Level (TMA) at the Katulampa and Manggarai floodgates for the period of January 2024 to March 2025. The models were evaluated using hyperparameter tuning (GridSearchCV, RandomizedSearchCV) on two data split schemes (70:30 and 80:20). The research results show that the XGBoost model with GridSearchCV on the 80/20 scheme provided the best performance with an accuracy of 82.61%. The best Random Forest model (GridSearchCV, 80/20) achieved an accuracy of 80.43%. Although XGBoost was numerically superior, the results of the McNemar's Test indicated that there was no statistically significant difference (calculated x2 0.25 < table x2 3.841) between the performance of the two models.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a digital attendance system-based learning media integrated with face recognition technology and Global Positioning System (GPS) to support the assessment of students' discipline and responsibility at MTs Daarul Hikmah. The background of the study is based on the problem of using a manual attendance system that is prone to manipulation and is less effective in supporting technology-based learning. This study uses a research and development method (R&D) with the ADDIE model consisting of five stages, namely: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The development results show that the digital attendance system is able to automatically record student attendance based on facial verification and GPS location when attendance is carried out. The system was developed using the AppSheet platform connected to Google Spreadsheet as a database. Validation was carried out by material experts, media experts, and student responses, which showed an average feasibility percentage of 91.1%, including the "Very Feasible" category. This learning media not only functions as an attendance recording tool, but also as a means of instilling character values through the application of technology. Thus, this system is expected to be an effective digital attendance solution while supporting the implementation of character-based learning and technology in madrasas.

Abstract

One of the challenges of IoT applications is how to control devices remotely without using the internet. Therefore, one of the wireless technologies suitable for IoT applications is LoRa. This study aims to analyze the communication range performance of the LoRa Reyax RYLR890. The research method is experimental. The testing/measurement circuit was designed into two circuits: a transmitter circuit and a receiver circuit. In the receiver circuit, colored LEDs were added to provide information on whether they are on or off when receiving signals from the transmitter. The results of the communication range measurement of LoRa show that the maximum communication distance between the two LoRa Reyax RYLR890 modules is 1000 meters/1 kilometer. However, the most suitable location for developing the LoRa Reyax RYLR890 is an area like an airport runway, with an RSSI value of -104 dBm and an SNR value of 31 dB. This is due to the wide, long, and unobstructed geographical conditions of the area. Although the communication signal strength is considered weak/poor, the signal is clean/does not have much noise/interference, making it more stable.

Abstract

This thesis presents measurements related to the application of green building concepts to an office building in East Jakarta. The measurement results obtained are then used to determine the building's rating criteria against applicable regulations. The green building concept is a building concept that is designed, constructed, and operated with consideration for its impact on the environment and human health, as well as aiming to conserve energy. Regulations regarding green buildings in Indonesia are currently issued by the Green Building Council Indonesia (GBCI), the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing, regional governor regulations in several regions, and technical guidelines from several other ministries. Green building measurements can be made in three stages, namely the design stage, the built condition stage, and the operation stage. The research was conducted through a case study of an office building in East Jakarta. The research resulted in a green building rating based on a review of GBCI V.12 regulations and PUPR Regulation No. 21 of 2021, as well as the amount of electricity and water savings that can be achieved based on the baseline from the Roadmap for the Implementation and Development of Green Buildings (2023). This building received 59 points out of 101 under the GBCI V.12 regulations and was categorized as gold. In the review of the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Regulation, it scored 125 out of 165 points and falls into the medium green building category. With this implementation, electricity energy efficiency of 29.737% can be achieved, water savings of 12.63% based on the PUPR baseline standard, and a reduction in carbon emissions of 956,457.904 kg CO2e.

Abstract

A case study is a research method used to investigate complex and contextual phenomena in real-life settings. Case studies aim to understand a specific case in depth and comprehensively by considering various influencing factors. The method used in this research is a literature review or reference study to gain knowledge about the case study method formulated by Robert K. Yin. The purpose of this research is to analyze the case study research method formulated by Robert K. Yin in architectural research. Robert K. Yin's case study method can be widely used in research in the social sciences and other fields. The main characteristics of this case study are its focus on a single or multiple cases studied in real life, its ability to explain causal relationships by developing theory in the research design phase that relies on sources of evidence, and its ability to produce theoretical generalizations. In architectural research, Robert K. Yin's case study method can be applied, albeit partially, and can be combined with other methods.
