Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the prediction of financial distress of retail trade companies. This research chose to use the Altman and Springate Models since both of them are the most accurate and conservative models to predict. The calculation of the Altman and Springate Score is based on an equation formula for data in the period before and during the Covid-19 pandemic. The Altman’s Score is grouped in the Safe Zone, Grey Area, and Financial Distress; while the Springate’s Score is grouped in the Safe Zone and Financial Distress categories. Altman Model Analysis stated that most of the companies experienced decreased scores, the company's financial performance during Covid-19 pandemic was predicted financial distress and belonged to the Grey Zone category than before Covid-19 pandemic. Springate Model Analysis states that all companies have decreased scores, and the company's financial performance during Covid-19 pandemic is predicted financial distress than before Covid-19 pandemic. Springate Model revealed a more conservative indicator, but both models stated there are still several companies in the Safe Zone category to continue their business. The originality of this research is focused on the retail trade companies as the most affected industry by Covid-19 pandemic. In addition, this research analyzes financial distress based on the Altman Z-Score and Springate Model as the most powerful model to predict.

Abstract

PT Infia Media Pratama is a company based in the creative content industry, primarily social media content, which is currently experiencing a quite serious turnover rate, reaching an average of 19% in the last three years. Even though the normal turnover rate is 5%, to overcome this turnover problem, an analysis of the various variables that influence employee turnover intention is needed. This research aims to try to observe the relationship between the variables' employee engagement, quality of work life, organizational commitment, and employee turnover intention. The research was conducted through a survey using a census sampling method. Primary data analysis tests use multiple linear regression, and hypothesis testing uses t-test and F-test. The research results show that increasing employee engagement and organizational commitment have a positive influence on increasing employee turnover intention. The quality of work-life variable has a negative relationship with employee turnover intention, even though the effect is only 4%. Thus, companies need to improve the quality of work life in an effort to reduce employee turnover intention.

Abstract

This study empirically analyzes the influence of Sustainability Reporting on the financial performance of energy sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange using a panel data regression. This study uses secondary data from Sustainability Reporting and financial reports of energy sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Research findings on the Random Effect Model show that environmental, social, and governance performance scores do not have a significant effect on a company's financial performance. This is possible due to limited transparency regarding Sustainability Report performance scores. Leverage and company size contribute significantly to the company's financial performance. The publication of easily accessible financial reports makes investors take these two things into account as determinants of a company's financial performance. These research findings provide input for the Financial Services Authority to further encourage the publication of Sustainability Reports and publish company rankings based on their Sustainability Report performance. Future research may observe certain sectors with specific characteristics, and add intervening or moderating variables according to previous research findings.
