Abstract

Technology is a set of tools that can be used or utilized by humans to facilitate various forms of work. Employee performance is the ability to achieve job requirements, where a work target can be completed in a timely manner or does not exceed the time limit provided so that the goal will be in accordance with company morals and ethics. This study aims to determine the correlation of technological progress on employee performance. In this study using RapidMiner as a test of 230 data on employees of PLN Binjai City. By using the Apriori algorithm method with a minimum support value of 10% and confidence of 50%, 44 association rules are obtained in the entire set and there are 2 rules in 4 itemsets. From the test results, the best rule with the highest value is obtained, namely if the data is T7, A3, F7 then SB, which means if using Ms.Word and Ms.Excel and Ms.PPT, using FSO Mobile and PLN Mobile, using Computers and Printers and Fax Machines then employee performance is Very Good with a support value of 30% and a confidence value of 96%.

Abstract

A device for monitoring the pH level of swimming pool water and an IoT-based automatic solenoid valve control has been specially designed. This system consists of several main components, including a pH sensor that continuously monitors the pH level in swimming pool water. This sensor will be connected to the Esp32 Board microcontroller which has been programmed to retrieve pH data periodically. The collected data will be sent via an internet connection to the cloud platform and can then be accessed via a mobile application to display real-time pH level messages. In addition, this system is also equipped with automatic solenoid valve control. Based on the measured pH data, the system will be able to make a decision to open or close the solenoid valve. If the pH level is outside the set limit, the system will automatically activate the solenoid valve to open the floodgates for filling water into the swimming pool, thus maintaining the pH balance automatically. In the design system for monitoring the pH level of swimming pool water and controlling this automatic solenoid valve using a pH-014 sensor which functions to detect the pH level in swimming pool water.

Abstract

Water is a vital element for humans, many activities are related to water. In everyday life, the use of water becomes very important and necessary in various fields, such as households, industry and agriculture. But their use is often inefficient and has the potential to waste valuable resources. In this context, the concept of the Internet of Things (IoT) emerges as a potential solution by connecting physical objects via the internet. This research designs and builds an IoT-based automatic water faucet system using the HC-SR04 sensor to measure the water level in a container. Hardware components such as Node mcu Esp8266, Infrared Sensor, 2 channel 5v Relay, and others are used to control the system automatically. The software used includes the Arduino IDE. This system aims to intelligently monitor and control water flow, prevent water wastage, and incorporate the advantages of IoT technology to create an automatic water faucet system that is responsive to water levels and the presence of objects in front of it.

Abstract

Diseases caused by the environment are disease phenomena caused by the relationship between humans and environmental factors. Diseases that occur due to the environment that must be known by the public are such as ISPA, dermatitis, diarrhea, pulmonary TB, and so on. In the area of the Kecamatan Selesai, there are still many environmental conditions Not yet such as damaged roads and smoke from factories that cause air pollution, so with condition environment like This can affect public health. Puskesmas Selesai is Public health center Which located in region Kecamatan Selesai. The data of patients seeking treatment at this puskesmas are only used archives and to view the patient's medical history. The public should know about symptoms of the disease in order to get appropriate services. In data mining techniques for clustering patient disease data can be used as new information useful for puskesmas or related as material counseling to society. The purpose of this study is to analyze the results of the application of data mining using K-Means Clustering in grouping patient diseases based on the environment with age, village and disease diagnoses variables.

Abstract

Technological developments are the main drivers of global social, economic, and cultural change, including in the rapidly growing gaming industry. The Role-Playing Game (RPG) genre, in which players portray characters in the game's story, is gaining popularity. The application of FSM Models and AI technology in character development and RPG game interaction not only resulted in exciting entertainment, but also inspired similar uses in various fields. With AI, characters interact dynamically with players and environments, and FSM Models govern complex character behavior, the game experience is even more immersive. RPG Maker, one of the popular engines, simplifies the process of creating RPG games with an easy user interface. The implementation of the FSM Model is done through events and switches, directing storylines and character situations with structured logic. This study analyzes the application of FSM Model in MMORPG RPG games. Through the design, testing, and analysis stages, FSM proved effective in creating games that combine entertainment with learning. This game invites players to look for requirements and challenges to proceed to the next level. The result is an MMORPG game played on a PC with a Windows operating system, providing an educational and entertaining gaming experience.

Abstract

PT Perkebunan Nusantara II (PTPN II) Sei Semayang, a state-owned enterprise (BUMN) engaged in palm oil and sugarcane production. Security officers play a crucial role in maintaining the company's security and productivity. Currently, the security officer recruitment process remains conventional, relying on subjective assessments based on several criteria. The aim of this study is to introduce a more structured, transparent, and objective approach to security officer recruitment. By implementing the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method, decisions in selecting prospective security officers can be made based on predetermined criterion weights. AHP enables decision-makers to identify, compare, and prioritize relevant criteria, addressing the complexity of selecting candidates who fit the established criteria. Through this approach, the study seeks to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in the security officer selection process, reduce the risk of errors in candidate selection, and improve overall company performance and security. It is hoped that the application of the AHP method in the decision support system for security officer recruitment at PTPN II Sei Semayang will assist the company in optimizing the selection process and supporting more data-driven decision-making.

Abstract

Identification of types of bananas and assessment of their maturity level is an important process in the agricultural and distribution industries. In an effort to automate this process, the authors propose an approach to identify bananas and their level of ripeness using a Backpropagation neural network. Through digital image processing, images or pictures of bananas will be extracted with images such as RGB (red green blue), metric and eccentricity (shape features). The results of the image data training process are as many as 55 image data input, obtained by the training process data on banana types with 11 iterations from the maximum input epoch 10000, target error or performance 0.00642 with an accuracy value of 80%. Furthermore, the training process obtained data on the maturity level of bananas with 4 iterations from the maximum input epoch 10000, the target error or performance is 0.00606 with an accuracy value of 90%. From the test image process that has been carried out, the system can identify the type of banana and its maturity level based on the feature extraction input from the image of the banana. This study also aims to test and determine the accuracy of the application of the Backpropagation method in identifying the types of bananas and their level of maturity.

Abstract

Binjai City is the closest city to the city of Medan, which is the heart of North Sumatra. As one of the closest cities to the city gate of Medan, there are many activities that require a lot of activities. In Binjai City there is a Binjai City Police Office which is located Jl. Sultan Hasanuddin No.1, Binjai City, North Sumatra. Based on crime data at the Binjai City Police Station, it shows that crime that occurs every day is constantly increasing. This is because several factors influence it, namely internal factors within oneself such as having a realistic mindset and so on while external factors such as economic level factors or low education levels that have an impact on the difficulty of finding jobs, uneven population density, very minimal salaries, urgent needs, supportive environmental situations, social inequality trigger envy and resentment, environmental associations that require costs and so on. When people are faced with such a situation, the thing that will come to their mind is how to get money to meet the needs of their families at all costs. So that it affects one's mentality and actions to commit criminal acts.Exponential smoothing method is a procedure that continuously improves forecasting with the average (smoothing = smoothing) past values of a time sequence data with. The Exponential smoothing method is a development of the Moving Averages method.

Abstract

Object tracking is a form of application of computer vision. To be able to track an object, a stage is needed in the image processing process. Image Processing is a field related to the process of image transformation (image). The image processing process is carried out to obtain better image quality. The harvesting system in kaffir lime is done manually, by choosing fruits whose skin color is green, and not yellowish. Due to the small and asymmetrical size and shape of kaffir lime, manual harvesting systems are still widely used to maintain the quality and quantity of the harvest. In addition, the manual harvesting system can also avoid damage to kaffir lime trees and obtain optimally ripe kaffir limes. Kaffir lime also has genders like humans, namely males and females. In male kaffir lime there is a circle that is more prominent in size underneath, while female kaffir lime has a flat shape. However, for consumption and medicinal purposes both male and female kaffir lime can be used without affecting the taste or quality of the fruit. With the image processing to determine the level of wrinkles on quality kaffir lime peel, kaffir lime will be selected which is usually used for herbal medicines. In this case, the Canny Edge Detection algorithm can be used to identify density edges in kaffir lime peels. Thus, the degree of wrinkles in kaffir lime peel can be calculated and measured to be more accurate. And can be separated quality or non-quality kaffir lime with the image of kaffir lime that has been seen through the image. The results obtained in designing and analyzing the quality of kaffir lime are clearer and more accurate with an image resolution value of 248 x 216 that the orange is included in the female kaffir lime type.The results tested that the right edge detection method in carrying out the edge detection process in the image of kaffir lime peel is the Canny Edge Detection Algorithm. By using the image on the Canny Edge Detection Algorithm, more dense and quality kaffir lime results are obtained so that it can be used for herbal medicine.

Abstract

Servers play an important role in managing information and managing network traffic within an agency. It contains various types of network devices that must be kept on every day to provide the best service. This leads to the importance of maintaining server presence, such as paying attention to room humidity, regulating temperature and monitoring server room movements to keep it under control. The air temperature in the server room is set within 20 - 25 degrees Celsius with a relative humidity of 40 - 55%. In this context, the concept of the Internet of Things (IoT) emerges as a potential solution by connecting physical objects via the internet. This research designs and builds an IoT-based temperature control and object motion detection system using a DHT22 sensor to measure the temperature in the room and a PIR sensor to detect human movement. Hardware components such as Wemos D1, Buzzer, Relay 2 channel 5v, and others are used to control the system via a smartphone. The software used includes the Arduino IDE. This system aims to monitor and control room temperature and object movement detection systems intelligently, prevent overheating, reduce the risk of loss and combine the advantages of IoT technology to create a temperature control and motion detection system that is responsive to room temperature and the movement of objects in the room.
