Abstract

This research is motivated by problems that occur in facial skin, including aging, which is caused by extrinsic and intrinsic factors. This study aims to determine the flavonoid content and feasibility of Centella asiatica leaf masks. This study employs a quantitative research method with an experimental approach, specifically pre-experimentation, to assess the feasibility of Centella asiatica leaf masks as a treatment for aging facial skin care. The object of this study is Centella asiatica leaves, which are made into a powder mask used for typical facial skin care for aging skin. Research Instrument Laboratory Test Organoleptic Test (Aroma Hedonic Test. Flavonoid content of 11,6420 ppm (0.0116%) in 100 grams of the sample. Organoleptic test texture 29% quite smooth, 71% smooth. Organoleptic test aroma: 14.5% less aromatic, 14.5% quite aromatic, and 71% aromatic. Organoleptic test: adhesive power 14% less adhesive, 14% quite adhesive, and 53% adhesive. Hedonic test 57% quite like, 43% like. The texture of the Centella Asiatica leaf mask is smooth, its aroma is distinctive, and it has quite adhesive power. It is recommended for those who have aging facial skin to use the Centella Asiatica leaf mask.

Abstract

The purpose of making this video tutorial is to determine the feasibility of video tutorials winged eyeliner technique in corrective makeup for round eyes as an alternative source of learning in the field of beauty, especially in applying makeup. The video production process uses standard operating procedures which are divided into 3 stages, namely the pre-production stage, the production stage, and the post-production stage. Where this research is conducted on a model who has round eyes. The method used in this research is the development method with video assessment by 2 experts, namely the Material Expert and the Media Expert to determine the fesibility of the video tutorial. Based on the feasibility test, the results of the feasibility test of Material Experts were 90% in the very feasible material assessment category and 92% of Media Experts in the media assessment category were very feasible. Based on these results, the video tutorial was declared very suitable for use as an alternative source of learning in the field of beauty in particular. in make-up. Abstract

Modul adalah salah satu media pembelajaran yang ditujukan kepada peserta didik dapat belajar secara mandiri, sehingga materi pada modul relatif lebih singkat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berupa modul dalam mata kuliah tata rias wajah khusus, khususnya pada materi tata rias wajah geriatri dan mengetahui kelayakan produk. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development). Tahap penelitian dan pengembangan ini adalah: 1) penelitian dan pengumpulan data, 2) perencanaan, 3) pengembangan produk awal, 4) uji produk awal, dan 5) revisi produk. Validasi produk dilakukan oleh satu orang ahli materi dan satu orang ahli media. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa produk media pembelajaran berupa modul ini layak digunakan dalam mata kuliah tata rias wajah khusus pada materi tata rias wajah geriatri. Hal ini ditunjukkan oleh hasil penilaian ahli materi termasuk dalam kategori “baik” dengan persentase sebesar 89%, hasil penilaian oleh ahli media termasuk dalam kategori “sangat baik” dengan persentase sebesar 90%.

Abstract

Making eyelash sewing tutorial videos for Indian brides includes Indian bridal makeup and eyelash sewing techniques. This study aims to make a product in the form of a proper video tutorial. Indian bridal makeup features a facial look that creates bold results. It has a characteristic in the eyebrows and eye makeup that makes the eyes look sharper. The eyelash sewing technique makes our eyes seem more open and rounder. The process in making this video consists of planning, production, and pos. This research is a research and development (R&D). The results of making this video meet the validation criteria are as follows: material experts rate it 80%, and media experts rate it 100%. It can be concluded that the video is a feasible alternative medium, making it easier to access information and knowledge related to eyelash sewing tutorial videos for Indian brides. t-production processes.

Abstract

The development of this video tutorial was carried out to provide benefits and explanations to students and the public regarding the development of facial make-up for traditional Sundanese female brides, becoming modified Sundanese female brides which are currently trending, namely Flawless Make-up, flawless make-up which has characteristics such as natural make-up with use colors that are still soft natural, that is, you still look like you are wearing make up but with neater and glowing results, for example using soft pink and soft peach colors. The aim of this research is to produce a Video Tutorial for Flawless Make Up on Modifying Sundanese Women's Bridal Makeup that is suitable for production. This research method uses the ADDIE R&D research model which is used to produce certain products and test the effectiveness of the video. The process in this video consists of pre-production planning, production, post-production, research process, data processing and research results. The results of making this video tutorial meet the validation criteria obtained by material and professional experts, namely 81% and by media experts, 100%. It can be concluded that this video is very suitable to be used as a learning medium for students in the Indonesian Bridal course in the Middle Part of the Cosmetology Study Program.

Abstract

Blush on has a function to give blush to the cheeks. The proper use of blush on affects the makeup results. The research aims to analyze the differences in makeup results using liquid blush and powder blush on oily skin. It was a pre-experimental research with one shot case study. The population was female students majoring in cosmetology and beauty aged 19-25 years. The sample was 2 female students who had oily skin types selected using purposive sampling. Data collection techniques using observations, documentation and questionnaires. After the data obtained, normality and homogeneity test were carried out, and a hypothesis test using T test. The results showed that there was a difference in the subtleties of the use of blush liquid and powder on makeup of oily skin. This was evidenced by the analysis of the value of p = 0.003 (p < 0.05). In the flatness indicator, a p value = 0.029 (p < 0.05) is obtained, meaning that there was a difference in the flatness of the use of blush liquid and powder to the makeup on oily skin. In the resistance indicator, a value of p = 0.014 (p < 0.05) is obtained, meaning that there was a difference in the resistance of the use of blush liquid and powder to the makeup on oily skin.

Abstract

The skin describes one of the organs that has an important role, therefore it is always good to treat and maintain healthy skin. Types of skin care activities according to each person's skin type. Body scrub is a body treatment using scrubs, there are several types of body scrubs such as coffee and rice. The type of research being conducted was a quantitative descriptive study which aimed to find out how to make a coffee and rice body scrub for skin lightening. This study was used to test the content of Vitamin B1 contained in coffee and rice body scrubs and to determine the quality of the texture, aroma, stickiness, and level of preference of the panelists. Based on the results of research that has been done about the feasibility of coffee and rice body scrubs, they are suitable for body care for skin brightness.

Abstract

Whitening cosmetics contain active ingredients intended to brighten or whiten the skin. Dangerous whitening cosmetics cause peeling and thinning of the skin, making it more sensitive. Most people are influenced to purchase cosmetic products, especially facial whiteners not registered with the BPOM (illegal), because these products are easily available, and they are curious about the products they will use. The popularity of these whitening cosmetics has led many students to use them to achieve better results. Based on the research problem above, the researcher aims to provide an overview, observe, gather opinions, and reveal the knowledge and attitudes of students at SMK Negeri 3 Padang City towards dangerous whitening creams. This type of research is descriptive quantitative, and the data were collected through questionnaires. The study period was March to June. The majority of respondents had poor knowledge due to a lack of information-seeking about dangerous whitening cosmetics. Students and consumers are advised to be careful when choosing facial care products, such as whitening creams, and to select products without harmful ingredients.

Abstract

Dry skin makes the skin look cracked, rough, and scaly, due to weather, environmental factors, and skin diseases. For this reason, facial skin needs antioxidants to protect it from free radical attacks that can harm the skin. Robusta coffee contains flavonoids, which can increase antioxidant activity. Gambier contains catechins, which are antioxidants. For this reason, treatment for dry skin is needed in the form of a peel-off gel mask of Robusta coffee and Gambir. This study aims to determine the feasibility of peel-off gel masks for Robusta and Gambir coffee through flavonoid content tests (laboratory tests) and organoleptic tests in the categories of texture, aroma, and stickiness. and hedonic tests (panelist preferences). This study employs quantitative research methods, including an experimental approach, with observation, documentation, and observation sheets as data collection techniques. Based on the processed data, a flavonoid content test was conducted, revealing 0.0094% (9.3951 ppm) of flavonoids in 100 g of the sample tested. These flavonoids function as antioxidants, protecting the skin from free radical attacks that can harm facial skin. The organoleptic and hedonic tests showed that the peel-off gel mask had a very thick texture, a strong aroma, and a very sticky power, which were liked by the panelists. Thus, the Robusta coffee and Gambir peel-off gel masks are suitable for use on dry skin.

Abstract

Making hair tonic products aims to process white rice washing waste water into a hair tonic product, get the right formula for making hair tonic products by utilizing white rice washing waste water, and find out people's interest in the product. The method used is the 4D development method, namely define (definition) including analysis of utilization and needs as well as literature studies related to rice washing waste water and hair tonic then determine the reference product, design (planning) including making 3 formulas into hair tonic products along with packaging, develop (development) includes product validation tests, dissemination (distribution) includes liking tests and pH tests. The results obtained were the processing of white rice washing wastewater into hair tonic products by sterilizing at a temperature of 121℃ for 17 minutes, obtaining the right formula, and liking test results with a percentage value of 88.75%. Based on the assessment scale for Akdon modification products, it shows that the products are well received by the public.
