Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui: (1) mengetahui penerapan K3 di lingkungan prodi tata rias baik penerapan K3 pada diri sendiri, alat dan bahan praktik, serta area kerja praktik, (2) membuat Standar Operasional Prosedur (SOP) yang sesuai dengan prinsip K3 untuk kegiatan praktik tata kecantikan kulit, (3) membuat Standar Operasional Prosedur (SOP) yang sesuai dengan prinsip K3 untuk kegiatan praktik tata kecantikan rambut, dan (4) membuat Standar Operasional Prosedur (SOP) yang sesuai dengan prinsip K3 untuk kegiatan praktik tata rias pengantin. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif khususnya deskriptif kualitatif yang mengacu pada model interaktif Miles dan Huberman. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa prodi tata rias dan kecantikan yang sedang menempuh mata kuliah di semester genap pada tahun akademik 2015/2016, dan sedang menempuh mata kuliah di semester ganjil pada tahun akademik 2016/2017, dosen dan laboran Prodi Tata Rias. Data dikumpulkan dengan lembar observasi, kuisioner dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif kualitatif dan analisis data menurut Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Kesehatan dan Keselamatan Kerja (K3) di lingkungan prodi tata rias baik penerapan pada diri sendiri, alat dan bahan praktik, serta area kerja praktik sudah diterapkan. Mahasiswa, laboran dan dosen pengampu memiliki komitmen untuk melakukan K3, memiliki pengetahuan dasar K3, dan bersedia menerapkan K3 sesuai dengan standar operasional prosedur yang berlaku, (2) Standar Operasional Prosedur (SOP) yang sesuai dengan prinsip K3 untuk bidang keahlian tata kecantikan kulit dibuat dengan memperhatikan prinsip-prinsip dasar dan kompetensi tata kecantikan kulit, (3) Standar Operasional Prosedur (SOP) yang sesuai dengan prinsip K3 untuk bidang keahlian tata kecantikan rambut dibuat dengan memperhatikan prinsip-prinsip dasar dan kompetensi tata kecantikan rambut, dan (4) Standar Operasional Prosedur (SOP) yang sesuai dengan prinsip K3 untuk kegiatan praktik tata rias pengantin dibuat dengan memperhatikan konsep dasar tata rias pengantin, dan jenis-jenis tata rias pengantin dengan kompetensi rias pengantin Indonesia, pengantin Barat, dan Pengantin Muslim

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan (1) Pengetahuan siswa SMP tentang cara perawatan wajah yang tepat sesuai jenis kulit wajah dan perawatan kulit kepala, (2) Kemampuan siswa dalam pengaplikasikan perawatan wajah dan rambut sesuai dengan kondisi kulit dan kulit kepala masing-masing siswa, (3) kebermanfaatan dan kepuasan peserta melalui pelatihan. Metode kegiatan yang digunakan dalam pelatihan ini adalah ceramah, demostrasi dan praktek. Hasil kegiatan (1) terselenggaranya  kegiatan pelatihan sebagai bentuk pengetahuan penampilan diri yang tepat untuk usia pubertas; (2) Para peserta dapat mengaplikasikan keterampilan tersebut dirumah agar menambah rasa percaya dirinya dalam sebuah pergaulan baik di lingkungan sekolah maupun masyarakat maupan sekolah. (3) Evaluasi terhadap  pelaksanaan kegiatan  dapat dilihat pada respon peserta terhadap tingkat kebermanfaatan  kegiatan pelatihan menunjukan  kegiatan pelatihan bermanfaat dengan rerata skor 3,42 dan respon peserta terhadap kegiatan pelatihan adalah puas dengan rerata 3,47. Kepuasan peserta terlihat pada setiap aspek, yaitu aspek penyamapaian materi, aspek materi, aspek fasilitas yang diperoleh, dan aspek hasil yang diperoleh. AbstractThe community service aim to improve (1) Knowledge of junior high school students about facial care according to the type of facial skin and scalp care, (2) Students ability to apply facial and hair care according to the skin and scalp conditions of each student, (3) participants usefulness and satisfaction through training. The method this training are lectures, demonstrations and practices. The results of the activity (1) implementation of training as a form of knowledge of proper appearance for the age of puberty; (2) Participants can apply these skills at home in order to increase their confidence in an association both in the school and the community; (3) Evaluation of the implementation of activities can be seen in the responses of participants to the level of usefulness of the training activities showing that the training activities are beneficial with a mean score of 3.42 and the participants' responses to training activities are satisfied with the average of 3.47. Participant satisfaction is seen in every aspect, namely the aspect of material achievement, material aspects, aspects of facilities obtained, and aspects of the results obtained.

Abstract

This research aims at finding out (1) the process of making banana peel powder that can be used as an alternative for synthetic dyes, (2) the characteristics of banana peel powder product, (3) the result of banana peel coloring powder compared to synthetic coloring, yellow metanil. This study can be categorized as experimental study using two groups of subjects; one group was given a specific treatment while another was used as the control group. The data of the study were collected using labsheets, questionnaires and laboratory testing. Data analysis technique used descriptive statistics, T-Test, and Anova Test. The findings showed that control dye had a bright yellow color while the samples treated with A2 had a dark yellow. Tukey test of A2 treatment showed the score of Tukeytable 3,25 3,80. It means color intensity from A2 treatment was similar to the control group. The result of laboratory testing showed that the sample of banana peel powder with A2 treatment had the water content of 3,72% in the first test and 3,87 in the second test. Meanwhile, pH value was 6,7 in the first test and 6,6 in the second test.

Abstract

The objectives of this study were: (1) to describe the graduates’ profile of the Department of Fashion Design and Hospitality Education of 2010-2012 that is required by the National Accreditation Commision for Higher Education, (2) to examine the gap between the graduates’ competencies with the market needs. This tracer study is a descriptive survey study conducted from June to November 2012. The population were 241 graduates of the academic year of 2012. 87 samples were succesfully interviewed through telephone interviews. The instruments of this study was a questionnaire. Quantitative data was analysed using crosstab and percentages. While the qualitative data was analysed by categories. The results showed: (1) the graduates of the Fashion Design, the Hospitality, and the Make-up and Beauty Therapy Programmes who understand the job application process were 85%, 78%, and 86% respectively (b) the graduates of Fashion Design, Hospitality, and Make-up and Beauty Therapy Programmes with the less than 6 months waiting period before the first employement were 85%, 100%, 80%  respectively (c) The graduates of Fashion Design, Hospitality, and Make-up and Beauty Therapy Programmes who get job vacancies from advertisements and direct application to the company were 15% and 85%, 43% and 57%, 80% and 20% respectively. d. the graduates of Fashion Design, Hospitality, and Make-up and Beauty Therapy Programmes who are employed in the fields related to their study were 61.5% 71%, 60% respectively (2) The graduates’ competencies compared to the market needs were as follows: (a) Competencies required were integrity, mastery of science, English, information technology, communication, teamwork, self-development, mastery of skills, special expertise, leadership, and organizational management.  (b) 98% of the graduates have excellent performance in terms of integrity, expertise, science, English, information technology, communication, teamwork, and self-development.

Abstract

Pelatihan Groming Kecantikan dilaksanakan sebagai bentuk pengetahuan penampilan diri yang tepat bagi wanita dewasa yang dilakukan pada mayarakat sekitar Fakultas Teknik Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta bertujuan untuk meningkatkan (1) pengetahuan tentang cara perawatan wajah yang tepat sesuai jenis kulit wajah dan perawatan kulit kepala dan rambut; (2) kemampuan aplikasi perawatan wajah dan kulit kepala serta rambut (3) kepuasan peserta mengikuti pelatihan. Metode pelatihan ini adalah ceramah untuk menyampaikan konsep dan teori jenis-jenis kulit, jenis kulit kepala dan rambut, kosmetika yang aman digunakan, cara diagnosa, definisi perawatan wajah, serta perawatan kulit kepala dan rambut secara basah dengan demostrasi untuk memberikan contoh cara perawatan serta praktik cara mendiagnosa kulit wajah dan mendiagnosa kulit kepala dan rambut, praktik perawatan wajah, serta praktik cara mendiagnosa kulit wajah dan mendiagnosa kulit kepala dan rambut, praktik perawatan wajah, serta praktik perawatan kulit kepala dan rambut secara basah.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah: 1) untuk mengembangkan naskah program video pembelajaran Dodot Pengantin Putri Gaya Solo Basahan, 2) untuk menguji kelayakan video pembelajaran Dodot Pengantin Putri Gaya Solo Basahan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan (research and development). Subyek penelitian adalah mahasiswa semester 3 dan semester 5 prodi D3 Tata Rias dan kecantikan FT UNY tahun angkatan 2008 yang sudah mengambil Mata Kuliah Pengantin Indonesia II dan angkatan 2009 yang belum mengambil Mata Kuliah Pengantin Indonesia II. Data penelitian dianalisis dengan teknik deskriptif kuantitatif secara sederhana, yakni dengan membandingkan nilai rerata. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Pengembangan Video Pembelajara Dodot pengantin gaya solo basahan terdiri dari beberapa tahapan antara lain: a)Terdapat perencanaan dalam merumuskan tujuan, disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan mahasiswa agar dapat tercapai kompetensi dibidang Tata Rias Pengantin.b) Pembuatan produk Video Pembelajara Dodot pengantin gaya Solo Basahan dengan prosedur yang direncanakan.c) Uji coba Video untuk memvalidasi produk, dengan validasi ahli materi,dan  ahli media yang berkompeten di bidang Tata Rias Pengantin Terutama penganti Gaya Solo Basahan . d) Merevisi hasil produk dan memperbaiki sebelum dilakukan uji coba dilapangan.e) Uji coba produk dilapangan atau pada pengguna produk tersebut.f) membuat laporan hasil sesuai dengan data yang diperoleh dilapangan baik dari ahli materi, ahli media dan pengguna Video Dodot pengantin gaya Solo Basahan 2) penelitian Video Pembelajaran Dodot Pengantin Putri Gaya Solo Basahan Puteri ini dalam kategori sangat layak sebagai sumber belajar menurut ahli media dan ahli materi, dan baik berdasarkan hasil uji coba di lapangan.

Abstract

This study addresses the challenges of conventional teaching methods in cosmetology education by developing a mobile Augmented Reality (AR) application for hair coloring. The primary objective is to enhance students' learning experiences and achievements through interactive AR content. Using the ADDIE model, we created an Android-based AR system that integrates Vuforia Engine for marker-based tracking and ARCore Face API for facial recognition. The methodology involved a descriptive analytical approach with expert validation to assess usability and content accuracy, followed by user testing with final-year students. The findings reveal that while the AR application has potential, it faces technical challenges, including prolonged download times and device compatibility issues. The implications of this research highlight the need for improvements in user interface design, system stability, and content accuracy to optimize the learning experience. By addressing these issues, the study aims to contribute to the effective integration of digital technologies in vocational education, ultimately preparing students for success in the beauty industry.

Abstract

This research aims to explain: 1) the concept of developing instructional media for Traditional Nusantara Hairdo; 2) the process of developing instructional media for Traditional Nusantara Hairdo; 3) the feasibility of instructional media for the Traditional Nusantara Hairdo course. This research is a development study. The video was developed using the Borg and Gall approach, with stages including data collection, video planning, initial product development, product validation by experts, revision based on expert feedback, small-scale field trials, result revisions, large-scale field trials, product revision and improvement, and internal dissemination. Data collection was done using a media feasibility assessment questionnaire. The research subjects included 3 content experts, 2 media experts, and 60 potential users, namely students of the Makeup and Beauty Program, Yogyakarta State University. The research results show that the developed video is an interactive learning video for traditional Nusantara hairdos. The percentage of expert testing results in the learning aspect reached 88.33%, categorized as very feasible; content aspect reached 88.33%, categorized as very easy; and appearance aspect reached 94%, categorized as very feasible. The small-scale trial percentage is interpreted as 88.5% for appearance (very feasible), 91.66% for ease (very easy), and 91.66% for audio (very feasible). The large-scale trial percentage for appearance is 87.9% (very feasible), ease is 86.6% (very easy), and audio is 84.3% (very feasible). Therefore, this interactive learning video is deemed very suitable for use as instructional media for the Traditional Nusantara Hairdo course.

Abstract

Making hair tonic products aims to process white rice washing waste water into a hair tonic product, get the right formula for making hair tonic products by utilizing white rice washing waste water, and find out people's interest in the product. The method used is the 4D development method, namely define (definition) including analysis of utilization and needs as well as literature studies related to rice washing waste water and hair tonic then determine the reference product, design (planning) including making 3 formulas into hair tonic products along with packaging, develop (development) includes product validation tests, dissemination (distribution) includes liking tests and pH tests. The results obtained were the processing of white rice washing wastewater into hair tonic products by sterilizing at a temperature of 121℃ for 17 minutes, obtaining the right formula, and liking test results with a percentage value of 88.75%. Based on the assessment scale for Akdon modification products, it shows that the products are well received by the public.
