Abstract

Hydrologic analysis is an important stage in water resources development activities, therefore the output of the general hydrological analysis will determine the direction of water resources development strategy in a comprehensive and more narrow scale will determine the dimensions and characteristics of the necessary infrastructure. Determination of hydrological quantities are actually not too difficult when the data for analysis is available in sufficient quantity and quality. Classical problems in developing countries, including Indonesia, the availability of river flow data series is quite a separate issue, so the solution must be done by to specification climate variables into a variable flow. So far this has been developed conceptual model, of course, each has advantages and disadvantages because basically models were developed according to local hydrological conditions. All models are basically developed from the same basic concept, namely the hydrological cycle. Basic things that sets it apart is the way to interpret the process until the rain began to flow. This is what would need to be studied further in this study. This study is an attempt to determine the performance model determinstic of FJ Mock, NRECA, and Tank model and can explain the comparative level of performance of the deterministic model in Reservoir Lahor. Results of research on Lahor Reservoir indicated that the tank model is able to present the relationship of climate data and data streams very well. In this research obtained on the model RMSE value of model NRECA is 7.854 m3/sec, model FJ Mock for 18.696 m3/sec and Tank Model for 7.823 m3/sec.Keywords: discharge, NRECA model, fjmock model, model tank

Abstract

Paving blocks are widely used in pavement construction such as container terminals, highways, parking lots, other open areas. Ease of installation, low maintenance and meet of the aestethics aspect cause more paving blocks of preferred. The FCA (fine coarse aggregate) paving blocks has the advantage in a mixture of 1:4:3, which is made by full-pressing method at 100 kg/cm2 with a strength reaches 406 kg/cm2 (grade-1); impact resistance is the best on the mixture of paving the heering-bone pattern. This further research will look at the quality aspects of paving from the abrasion resistance and the absorption rate of FCA paving blocks to provide paving mixture variables in (1; 4; 0, 1; 4; 3, 1; 4; 5) and the amount of pressing (60; 80 and 100 kg/cm2). The research results obtained minimum the abrasion resistance obtained at the paving 1; 4; 3 is given pressing 100 kg/cm2, abrasion value of 0.046 mm / min on a top layer of paving using admixture 1; 2 and 0.089 mm / min on without a top layer of paving blocks. The best absorption levels obtained at the paving with the same composition but at 60 kg/cm2 pressing provision.Key-word : pressing, strength, abrasion resistance

Abstract

Setting the left turn movement at the intersection of four or three signalized intersections, and the straight movements at three signalized intersections. In any where, there are not provide significant for signalized intersection performance. Changes related legislation does not necessarily contribute positively to the traffic operation. Determination of the application of left turn on red  (LTOR) or straight on red (STOR) at an intersection must be preceded by a study, so that the positive affect or negative affect that happened can be known early. The background of this study was motivated the existing conditions arrangement, turn left movements (for intersection of four or three signalized intersections) and straight movements (for three signalized intersections) at some intersection in Malang Raya. In addition, this study was conducted in order to know the effect of setting the movement of vehicles turning left or straight at the intersection. The expected benefits of this study is, that every movement settings, turn left at the intersection of four or three signalized intersections, and also straight movements at three signalized intersections have to go through the review process. Conclusion, shows that the movement of vehicles turning left directly on the intersection of four or three signalized intersections, and the movement of vehicles at the intersection of three straight directly affect the performance of signalized intersections.Key words: signalized intersection, turn left movement, straight movement, the performance of a signalized intersection.

Abstract

In Gedung Kuliah Bersama (GKB) III at University Muhammadiyah of Malang, at the first floor with a low-level of illumination should be used for audio-visual rooms or meeting, or it’s not used to read, write a long time (often), and for a thorough job, so it does not require a high level of illumination, because the majority of rooms on the first floor level of 30 lux illumination only and the maximum light level is only about 300 lux at the window. On the second floor with office functions majors and computer labs are appropriate to the level of illumination most of the rooms reached 200 lux, at the window level to 500 lux maximum lighting. Lecture room on 3 and 4 floors have a very high level of illumination, on the third floor reached 120-240 lux in the most of the rooms and around the window to 1200 lux, the uneven illumination very disturbing visual comfort of user room. On the fourth floor most of the rooms have lighting levels of 200-400 lux and 1800 lux maximum reached around the windows.Key Words: Lighting levels or level of illumination, GKB ( Gedung Kuliah Bersama )

Abstract

In determining leachate generation, the value of field capacity waste is one of the parameters that determine the amount of leachate which is formed against, because the field capacity (FC) is amount of water that may be stored by the waste until it has saturated the water and ultimately if the water entering the landfill waste then the water will come out into leachate. In this study we have performed research on the determination of field capacity on fresh waste and old waste. The results of this research showed that the value of FC is influenced by age waste. The value of field capacity (FC) on fresh waste is greater than old waste and the value of field capacity (FC) influenced by material density. The value of field capacity (FC) materials with higher density (black sand), the value of field capacity (FC) is smaller. Keywords: leachate, field capacity, waste

Abstract

Markov Chain Model is a stochastic model for forecasting the river flow which in his analysis always involves a long series of historical data. In most studies the method is still highly theoretical and not fully applicable significantly due to the limited data in the field. This study is an attempt to optimize the application of Markov Chain Model for its functionality extensively to extrapolate data streams. The scope of this research is basically conducted a study on the relationship between the length of the historical flow data series with data quality prediction results. By knowing these characteristics, the error correction of analysis results can be expected due to data limitations, so that the Markov Chain Model can be widely applied to optimization of waterworks operations. Results for the Konto River and River showed that the prediction of flow Kwayangan next year with Markov chain models tend to give better results than the results of forecasting by conventional methods are widely applied. Markov model is good enough to predict the river flow has low flow fluctuations, but for a river flow fluctuated sharply less than satisfactory results. The length of data series ranges from 15 to 20 of the optimal inputs to produce a minimum error rate prediction. Accuracy of prediction result is not determined by the length of the input data series, but is determined by the nature of statistical data. Value of lag-1 correlation coefficient are large and small skewness coefficient of the historical data tends to give a satisfactory prediction results.Key words: river flow, data, prediktion, markov model.
