Abstract

AbstractThis study objectives is to analyze the effect of production factors on the benefits of carrot farming and predict the elasticity of input demand on carrot farming in Sumber Berantas Village, Batu City. Location selection was done purposively by using data collection methods using simple random sampling using a sample of 60 carrot farmers. Data analysis used using descriptive analysis, Cobb Douglas production function analysis and Douglas method (UOP-CDPF) Output Price Unit or UOP of Cobb Douglass Profit Function. Based on the results of analysis using the Cobb-Douglass UOP profit function the Output Price Unit or UOP of Cobb Douglass Profit Function (UOP-CDPF) is obtained by factors that influence the profit function seen from the results of the t test. the results of carrot production are manure, NPK fertilizer and medicine because it has a value of P <0.05. The calculated F value is obtained at 14.60 with a probability of 0,000 or less than 0.05 at a confidence level of 99%. Elasticity of input demand: (a) Price elasticity of demand is elastic for variable seeds, manure, urea, NPK fertilizer, ZA fertilizer, drugs and labor inelastic because of the value Ep> 1. (b) The elasticity of cross-price requests for all variables, namely seeds, manure, urea, NPK fertilizer, ZA fertilizer, drugs and labor are complementary, because the Ep value is <0 or -1. (c) Eelasticity of variable input demandfor fixed or income inputs (icome elasticity). of all variables, namely seeds, manure, urea, NPK fertilizer, ZA fertilizer, drugs and labor are inferior, because they have a value of Ei <1.Keywords: The elasticity, of the request

Abstract

ABSTRACTEvery years, the demand of potatoes, population, income and potatoes processing industries are tends to increased. Production, land and potatoes's productivity are fluctuated from 2014 to 2017. Because of this problem, government should be concerned about agricultural development in Indonesia. In agricultural development, the farmers have important role. Therefore, empowerment of farming communities has to be done, so the farmers could handle any problems that occurs in their farm. One of government's programs to solve this problem is developing group of farmers in every villages. The aim of this research is to identify the role of farmer's group that influenced potatoes's productivity. Proportionate stratified random sampling is used for sampling method in this research. The research was conducted with 53 respondents. Those respondents are analyzed using frequency table and multiple linear regression. Frequency table results showed that the most important activity for farmer is routine meetings. Meanwhile, the activity that influenced potatoes's productivity (alfa = 0,10) are counseling, routine meetings and RDKK's forming. The using of subsidies fertilizer & excellent seeds are not influence potatoes's productivity.Keyword : potatoes, the role of farmer’s group.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe research objective was to analyze the income of red rose ornamental plants farming, and to describe the marketing channels and marketing efficiency of red rose ornamental plants. The analytical method used is descriptive and quantitative analysis method, which consists of four approaches (a) RC / ratio analysis (b) Marketing margins (c) Market integration (d) Price transmission elasticity. The results of the descriptive analysis explained that the RC / ratio was 5.19. and there are two marketing channels, namely I: Farmers, big traders, out-of-town traders. Channel II: Farmers, Middlemen, Retailers, Consumers. The functions of marketing carried out by farmers: Middlemen, purchasing, transportation, grading, loading and unloading. Wholesalers: purchasing, transportation, grading, loading and unloading. Retailers: purchasing, transportation, loading and unloading. Out-of-town traders: Purchasing, transportation, loading and unloading. The results of quantitative data analysis can be concluded if the RC / ratio value is more than 1 then farming is profitable and feasible to cultivate. While the market structure indicates a monopoly market, this can be seen from the price transmission elasticity (ը) of 0.13.Keywords: Red rose farming, marketing channels, marketing efficiency

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to analyze and find out the income of corn farming, knowing the effect of production factors on corn farming, knowing the allocative efficiency of the use of production factors in corn farming. This study was determined by purposive sampling in Bocek Village, Karangploso Subdistrict, Malang Regency using a randomized method using 36 samples of corn farmers. The analytical method used is the analysis of Cobb-Douglass production function and analysis of production input allocation efficiency (NPMx / Px). The results showed that the R / C ratio was 1.7 which means it was profitable and worth trying. Production factors that significantly influence corn farming are seeds, urea fertilizer, manure, pesticides and labor. Farmers in allocating their production inputs are not efficient, because the value of NPMx / Px of the five production factors is greater than 1. Therefore allocatively, the use of corn production factors is not efficient so that it needs to be added to its use. Keyword: factors, production, efficiency, allocative, income
