Abstract

Introduction: Individuals with diabetes mellitus must adhere to a series of examinations, which includes blood sugar monitoring. The effects of progressive muscle relaxation and lemon aromatherapy on blood sugar levels in individuals with type 2 diabetes are compared in this study as non-pharmacological interventions for controlling or lowering blood sugar increase that persons with diabetes mellitus can conduct on their own at home. Method: The methodology of pre-experimental research is used. The study population consists of 36 volunteer diabetes patients who are divided into two groups using simple random sampling. The dependent variable is the blood sugar levels of patients with type 2 diabetes. The independent variables in this study are progressive muscle relaxation and lemon aromatherapy. The Wilcoxon signed-rank test & Mann-Whitney test is used to examine the data in order to determine the significance of the comparison between two sets of correlated data using ratio-shaped data. Results & Analysis: With a p-value of 0.016, progressive muscle relaxation is helpful in reducing blood sugar levels. Likewise, using lemons in aromatherapy decreases blood sugar levels (p-value = 0.028). However, the comparison results show that, with a p-value of 0.012, progressive muscular relaxation works better than lemon aromatherapy. Discussion: Both interventions involve relaxation techniques that block stress input and promote physiological calm in order to slow down heartbeats and boost the release of insulin hormones into the bloodstream, which is required for managing blood sugar. It is suggested that future research combine the two medicines to obtain more comprehensive findings.

Abstract

Introduction. Indonesia's still-high infant mortality rate is evidence that the Sustainable Development Goals have not been met. Babies in Indonesia are at risk of stunting and death due to a lack of breast milk. The polyphenols, alkaloids, and phytosterols found in moringa leaves, including campesterol, β-sitosterol, and stigmasterol, stimulate the formation of breast milk. Examining the effects of Hypnobreastfeeding and Moringa pudding on milk production is the primary goal of this study. Methods. The study was quasi-experimental and employed a non-control group design with non-equivalent pre-and post-tests. This kind of study employs purposive sampling. Two groups of thirty-two participants were used in the study; one group received hypnobreast feeding and the other received moringa leaf pudding. The selection of participants was based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. Giving Moringa leaf pudding and the hypnobreastfeeding method were the independent factors in this investigation. Primiparous postpartum women's milk production is the dependent variable in this research. A paired T-test is used as the statistical test. Results & Analysis. On the other hand, Both the first and second groups had breast milk production levels between 25 and 150 ml before receiving the hypnobreastfeeding intervention and Moringa leaf pudding; following treatment, these levels rose to above 150 ml. of the paired t-test for both groups showed a p-value of 0.001, where the p-value was <0.05. Discussion. First-time postpartum moms at RSPKT Prima Sangatta who participated in hypnobreastfeeding and received moringa leaf pudding had a statistically significant increase in their milk supply.

Abstract

Introduction. Awareness of elders with hypertension to routinely control at health services is still low. This condition is influenced by several factors that are closely related to socioeconomic circumstances, the culture of using traditional medicines, and the obedience of patients. This study identified the effect of counseling, scheduling, and checkup methods due to seeking routine healthcare motivation for elders with hypertension.  Method. This study used a pre-experimental design with one group pre-post test design. The population in this study was the elderly in RT 01 RW 07 Donokerto, Kec. Simokerto Surabaya and the number of samples is 23 respondents. Sampling using the Purposive Sampling technique. The instrument used in data collection was a routine control motivation questionnaire. Result&Analysis. Characteristics of most respondents are aged 61-70 years, female, last education was senior high school and work as a housewife. The results of the study were obtained before the action (pretest) as many as 15 respondents (65%) had poor motivation, 8 respondents (35%) had good motivation and after being given the action (posttest) there were 23 respondents (100%). Statistical tests showed p=0.000 so there was an influence of the counseling, scheduling, checkup (CSC) method through the constant motivation board (PAMOSA) on routine control motivation in elderly people with hypertension. Discussion. Therefore, The CSC method through (PAMOSA) method can make elderly people with hypertension increase their motivation for seeking routine health care to improve their quality of life.

Abstract

Introduction. Black potato (Plectranthus rotundifolius) is one of the tubers in Indonesia and not well known by the public. It causes inadequate use of black potato than any other tubers. The parts that are currently used are the potato flesh. Meanwhile, the black potato peels are not used. Although the black potato peels contain polyphenol saponins, flavonoids, and antioxidant compounds. Method. Phytochemicals can be separated using extraction methods, one of the modern extraction methods used is the ultrasonic bath method. The ultrasonic bath method is a method that uses ultrasonic waves with a frequency greater than 16-20 KHz. The objective of this research is to determine the phytochemical content and antioxidant activity of lowland black potato peels with cow manure using ultrasonic bath extraction method. The research was conducted experimentally using RAL (Completely Randomized Design) with 3 factors and 3 replications, which included the difference in extraction temperature (55°C); extraction time (15 and 20 minutes); and the ratio of materials and solvents (1:5 and 1:10). Results & Analysis. The data obtained were yield, total phenolics, total tannins, flavonoids and antioxidant activity of black potato peels extracted using ultrasonic bath method with different temperature, extraction time and solvent ratio. The data obtained were analyzed using the Anova test with a significance of α = 0.05. Discussion. The analysis indicated that the treatment of 5 kg/plot manure with an extraction time of 20 minutes, at a temperature of 55°C, and a ratio of ingredients and solvents is 1:10 provided the best quality at 4.13% moisture content, 17.90% yield, 0.177 g/g phenols total, 0.063 g/g tannins, 0.096 g/g flavonoids and 45.275 ppm antioxidant activity.

Abstract

Introductions. Work behavior is characterized by the implementation of recording and reporting patient safety incidents in accordance with applicable procedures. The problem in this research is the delay in recording and reporting patient safety incidents at Hospital This research aims to analyze the influence of organizational factors (perceived organizational support, organizational culture, ethical work climate, and trust in management) on workplace behavior in the implementation of IKP recording and reporting at Hospital X Surabaya. Method. This study used a cross-sectional design. The research was conducted in 35 work units at Hospital X Surabaya involving 77 work unit members as informants. Primary data collection using a questionnaire was carried out to measure all variables. Meanwhile, workplace behavior is measured using primary data using a questionnaire supported by using secondary data in the form of IKP reports. Meanwhile, workplace behavior is measured using primary data using a questionnaire supported by using secondary data in the form of Patient Safety Incident reports. Results & Analysis. The research results show that there are variables that have a p-value smaller than 0.05. Caring (dummy variable) from the ethical work climate variable (p-value=0.002). Conclusion. There are several recommendations given based on the results of this research. First, increasing cooperation between work unit members who support patient safety behavior related to recording and reporting patient safety incidents. Second, develop programs and policies related to the implementation of recording and reporting patient safety incidents.
