Abstract

In this modern era, a prevalent social issue faced by almost every country is unemployment. Increasing unemployment rates in a region can trigger criminal activities. The objective of this research is to examine the influence of socio-economic variables, namely, unemployment, poverty, education, population density, and per capita GDP in Indonesia's 32 provinces. This study employs quantitative research methods and utilizes secondary data obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS). Data panel regression is used for data analysis. The results of this study indicate that unemployment, poverty, education, and population density do not have a significant impact. Only per capita GDP shows a coefficient of -0.539228, indicating a negative influence on the crime rate in Indonesia. However, in the case of the per capita GDP variable, the p-value is 0.0496 < 0.05, signifying that per capita GDP has a significant impact on the crime rate in Indonesia. This means that an increase in per capita GDP leads to a lower crime rate in Indonesia, as higher per capita GDP in a region contributes to economic growth and advancement.

The data used in this research consists of secondary data, employing a time series model (ARDL), and utilizing Eviews version 10 software. The dependent variable utilized is Foreign Exchange Reserves, and the independent variables are Exports, Foreign Debt, FDI, and Foreign Tourist Arrivals. The data sources are obtained from Bank Indonesia (BI), the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), and the World Bank. The results of the data processing and research reveal that the variables of Exports and Foreign Debt have a positive and significant impact on foreign exchange reserves, whereas FDI and Foreign Tourist Arrivals do not affect Indonesia's foreign exchange reserves in the short term. However, in the long run, the variables that have a positive and significant impact are Exports and Foreign Tourist Arrivals. Abstract

Over time, Indonesia's population has steadily increased, primarily driven by a growing workforce. However, without effective employment opportunities, this growth can lead to high unemployment rates. One sector that plays a pivotal role in absorbing this workforce is the manufacturing industry, which happens to be Indonesia's largest contributor to GDP. This empirical study delves into the factors influencing labor absorption in the manufacturing sector, including Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), Regional Minimum Wage (UMP), Human Development Index (HDI), average years of schooling, and the number of companies. Data for this research is sourced from the official website of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and analyzed using Seemingly Unrelated Regression (SUR) on cross-sectional data spanning from 2011 to 2021. The study encompasses nine Indonesian provinces: North Sumatra, Riau, South Sumatra, DKI Jakarta, West Java, Central Java, East Java, Banten, and Riau Islands. Results indicate that GRDP, HDI, and the number of companies positively and significantly impact labor absorption, while UMP and average years of schooling exhibit negative and significant effects on labor absorption.

The research is a survey study conducted using questionnaires to collect data. The population in this study consists of consumers in the Taman Mula Sakti Indah Housing Complex. The research sample was determined using the Slovin formula, resulting in a sample size of 88 respondents. The data analysis technique used in this study is multiple linear regression analysis. The research findings indicate that collectively, the independent variables, namely price, facilities, location, environment, and income, have a significant simultaneous influence on the dependent variable, which is the purchase decision. Partially, price, location, and income significantly influence the purchase decision variable (Y) in the Taman Mula Sakti Indah Housing Complex.

Abstract

Cost of Goods Sold represents all expenses incurred in the process of producing a product until it is ready for sale. The Cost of Goods Sold structure consists of inventory, labor, and overhead costs. Inventory includes raw material costs, work in progress inventory, and finished goods inventory. Labor refers to the workforce directly involved in the production of traded goods, while overhead costs are expenses related to the manufacturing process. The objective of this research is to determine how to calculate the percentage of Raw Material Costs, Labor Costs, Factory Overhead Costs, Work in Progress Inventory, and Finished Goods Inventory, as well as to understand the influence of these costs and inventories on the Cost of Goods Sold. This research employs a quantitative method with a case study approach, conducting research on a specific object with a limited population, resulting in conclusions applicable only to the studied object and during a specific time frame. In this study, it was found that both costs and inventories significantly affect the Cost of Goods Sold.
