<![CDATA[Most people view the elderly as a group that is not productive. Especially if the elderly are accompanied by certain disabilities. Most societies view that at an increasingly advanced age, the individual in question is more troublesome because there is not much they can do. However, the government has paid special attention to the elderly by issuing a Law of the Republic of Indonesia in article 13 of 1998 concerning the welfare of the elderly. This means that the elderly, especially those who are seen as still having potential, should continue to be empowered to remain productive in society. The purpose of this study is to describe 1) the productivity ability of the elderly with special needs before being given training in making tablecloths from patchwork and 2) the productivity ability of the elderly with special needs after being given training in making tablecloths from patchwork. This research includes quantitative research of experimental methods. The design study used the Design of One Group Pretest-Posttest. Meanwhile, the variable used is free, namely training in making tablecloths from patchwork and a bound variable, namely the productivity ability of the elderly. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics with the presentation of data in the form of tables, graphs, and percentage calculations. The subjects of the study were 2 elderly people with special needs aged 62 years and 67 years. Training activities are carried out as many as 6x with a duration of 60 minutes. The results showed that the ability to make tablecloths from patchwork obtained pre-test values for MS subjects: 47.5% and PS subjects: 57.5%. While the posttest value of MS subjects: 80% and PS subjects: 87.5%. When compared to the pre-test and posttest results, there are changes, which means that there is an increase in the productivity of the elderly after receiving training. This increase is that MS has increased by 32.5% and PS by 30%. The average increase in both subjects was 3.5%.]]>

<![CDATA[This article is focused on criticizing various policies of the Diocese of Ruteng in responding to the impact of Covid-19 on pastoral care. The main issue discussed was what kind of policies were in responding to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the pastoral care of the faithful. What positive things have been produced so far and what things need to be considered for improvement in the future? By using a literature review as a method as well as a document study, the author finds that at the policy level, there are various pastoral instructions issued, both regarding restrictions on pastoral care and related to charitable social action. These various policies have made a positive contribution to the faithful even though there are still things that need to be considered for improvement in the future. The author concludes that a policy like this must be seen as part of the commitment and pastoral responsibility of the Local Church of Ruteng for the good of the faithful who are affected by Covid-19 as well as a manifestation of universal humanitarian solidarity in breaking the chain of this deadly virus.]]>

<![CDATA[This article concentrates on analyzing the pastoral model in the spirit of “Omnia in caritate” as one of the important responses to the economic impact of the spread of COVID-19 which has caused many people or people to fall into poverty. The main problem highlighted in this research is the phenomenon of church service which is still conceptual-theoretical and linturgicentric. This means that the ministry of the Church is still limited to teaching and dwelling on pastoral theological concepts, and still concentrating on ritual piety centered on the altar. The pastoral ministry of the Church has not yet reached the concrete market of life. Using document studies, this article concludes that pastoral care inspired by the spirit of omnia in caritate is a contextual and relevant model of pastoral care amid a pandemic. The omnia in caritate spirit is able to reach people affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, especially those who fall into poverty.]]>

<![CDATA[The experience of pain is a frightening experience for humans. Because many views sick people are synonymous with the punishment of sin. That is why people struggle in various ways to avoid getting sick. Freedom and healing are the deepest longings for humans. People who are sick both mentally and physically need special services and companions. Everyone is called to take part in service to others. Thus the sick can experience complete healing, both medically and specifically through the care of others. To overcome the problems above, the authors use qualitative research methods. The type of research used by the researcher is phenomenological research, the phenomenological approach relates to the implementation of how daily pastoral care officers at Panti Waluya Hospital Malang in carrying out pastoral care activities. <![CDATA[Deaf children are children who experience obstacles in getting access to language sounds through the sense of hearing so that their language development experiences obstacles, especially the development of spoken language. The development of spoken language in everyday life is a communication tool that is widely used by people in interacting with each other. Difficulty in interacting with people experienced by deaf children, thus requiring the application of an appropriate total communication model. The application of total communication can be used as an alternative to convey feelings/thoughts/ideas to others. There are various models of total communication, namely total oral, manual, aural and graphic communication. The application of total communication should be adapted to the needs and characteristics of deaf children. In the application of total communication, it really requires the cooperation of teachers, therapists and parents to train deaf children so that they can develop well. This research was conducted on 3 deaf children at Bhakti Luhur. The purpose of this study was to describe the application of a total communication model for deaf children. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The data obtained in this study were based on the results of interviews, observations of 3 main informants of deaf children and 2 additional informants who were in charge of the homestead. The results of the study indicate that the application of the total communication model is less effective.]]>

<![CDATA[During the COVID-19 pandemic, almost all education in Indonesia changed the learning system, including education for children with special needs. Children are required to study at home with parental assistance but still under the supervision of the teacher. The purpose of this study was to determine the model of learning services for children with special needs amid the covid-19 pandemic. This research uses the library method. The results showed that the distance learning service model applied was 5M learning. First Humanizing the relationship by building positive relationships between teachers, students and parents. Second, Understanding Concepts. Third, to build sustainability by reflecting with parents. Fourth, Choosing challenges by providing a variety of learning activities according to student conditions and flexible learning hours. Fifth, Empowering context. Based on the results of this study the use of the 5M distance learning strategy has contributed to teachers and parents in collaborating to educate students with special needs so that they can learn and remain productive during the pandemic covid-19.]]>

<![CDATA[Friends play an important role in everyone's life. Apart from family, usually someone in this case young people will draw a lot of influence both positive and negative from their friends. What is meant in this study is the spiritual friendship of young people in the Saint Petrus Parish of Saint Vincentius a Paulo Malang, especially in the field of liturgy or consecration. Young people in St. Peter's neighborhood participate in many liturgical activities, including participating in community prayer activities, deepening their faith and liturgical activities in the Church as lecturers, psalms and acolytes. The purpose of this study was to see whether there was an influence of friendship on the liveliness of the liturgical activities of young people in the Saint Petrus Parish of Saint Vincentius a Paulo Malang. The sampling technique was purposive sampling, meaning that data was collected using certain criteria, in this case only young people who were truly active in liturgical activities. For the data collection method using the questionnaire method, while the instrument is a questionnaire with a scale of four (4) levels. For closed questionnaires where the researcher has determined the answers so that the respondents just have to choose. Twenty (20) questionnaires were distributed but eighteen (18) were returned. Data collection was carried out in November 2022. From the analysis of the data it turned out that the results were influential, that is, from 18 young people, an average result was obtained of 64.16%. This shows that liturgical activities that are followed and carried out by young people are influential where one young person influences other young people to take part in liturgical activities both in the church and in the environment.]]>

<![CDATA[Catholic Youth Participation in acolyte care St. Montfort Serawai. The problem in this research was the level of involvement of young Catholics in parish pastoralism. It turned out that the young Catholics in this parish are sometimes only semi-active in parish acolyte care. The purpose of this study was to identify the factors that cause young Catholics to be semi- active in parish pastoral care so that this problem can be addressed properly. This study used a qualitative research method, with a questionnaire via google form to young Catholics in Parrish St. Montfort Serawai. This questionnaire allows the author to assess the situation of young Catholics in pastoral life in the parish. There were 43 people who answered the questionnaire. The data were processed by categorizing and organizing them so that it can provide research results based on the data. Based on the findings of this study, young Catholics began to be actively involved in pastoral life in Parish St. Montfort Serawai.]]>

<![CDATA[Taking part in the ministry of the Catholic Church is a noble and sacred duty because it is directed to Jesus Christ, the owner and head of the Church. Ministry is seen as a spiritual activity that is routinely carried out in the Catholic Christian community, in this case what wants to be discussed in this study is the service of Catholic youth community (OMK) to the church, especially in rural areas. The understanding of the concept of the church began with the formation of a special community, namely the nation of Israel chosen by God and bound by covenant with God. The Church is the fruit of Christ's work which adopts the analogy of the human body to illustrate that there is nothing else, but rather each member has a different function to build and grow the body of Christ. Seeing importance role of young people as the body of Christ who also contributes to building the body of Christ, the church needs to seriously think about youth ministry because youth service is very influential on the growth of the church itself.]]>

<![CDATA[People with mental retardation often experience delays in both physical and mental development so that they require intervention to make up for the delay. The Bhakti Luhur Integrated Program or PTBL is the flagship program of the Bhakti Luhur Foundation to help mentally retarded people improve the disabilities of persons with disabilities, one of which is the disability in the field of self-help bathing. This study intends to assess whether PTBL training can improve the ability to help self-help bathing mentally retarded children at Wisma Dewandaru Malang. The research method used is a quantitative research method with the type of pre-experimental research because there is no control group with a one group pretest and posttest design. It is hoped that this research can become a reference for other researchers to train other mentally retarded people who have problems with bathing themselves. The results obtained were as follows: for YT respondents, the pre-test score was 52 and the post-test was 65, so there was an increase of 13 points. the pre-test was 52 and the post-test score was 71.5 so there was an increase of 19.5 points, respondent P's pre-test score was 56.5 and the post-test was 77 so there was an increase of 20.5 points. If seen from the four respondents or subjects who experienced the highest increase, it was P with an increase of 20.5 points and the second place IS experienced an increase of 19 points, the third was LS with an increase of 15 points and the last was YT with 13 points ]]>
