Abstract

Recitation of the Al-Qur'an in Nagari Lawang Mandahiling, Kec. Salimpaung Kab. Tanah Datar West Sumatra is one of the branches of the Majelis Panjang Al-Qur'an Padang Panjang which is attended by the elderly who are usually known as the second group who are not much involved in intelligence activities such as memorizing the Qur'an. But in this study the researchers found that the elderly who participated in the study of the Al-Qur'an Council had been actively involved in the activities of studying the meaning of the verses of the Qur'an, memorizing and understanding it since 2014. This descriptive qualitative study aims to find out activities, secrets and factors underlying the ability of the elderly who are 60 years old and above in memorizing the Qur'an. Their activities are divided into six parts, namely the tahfidz preparation stage with motivation and tausiyah from the supervisor, then individual activities, daily activities, weekly activities, monthly activities and khataman activities for participants who have memorized one juz and are ready to perform the Qur’an memorization to the supervisor and pilgrims. The number of participants who have studied were six. Even though they have gone through the Khataman activities, this activity is not the end of the Tahfidz activity because they are still required to repeat their Qur’an memorization and increase their memory. The secret and the biggest factor that underlies the achievement of the Qur'anic verses in the elderly are internal factors in the form of the desire for old age to be filled with useful things and great rewards, love of the Qur'an, calm when interacting with the Qur'an and memorizing it, the desire to increase remembrance both in prayer or outside prayer, and faith and belief in the hereafter, in addition to other supporting external factors.

Abstract

As one of the business entities under the umbrella of the unitary state of Indonesia, Islamic banks are also required to implement Good Corporate Governance which will henceforth be abbreviated as GCG. The application of GCG in Islamic banks is important considering Islamic banks are banks that use the principle of profit sharing. GCG is a requirement for Islamic banks to develop well and healthy. Good GCG implementation refers to five principles, namely accountability, transparency, independence, responsibility and fairness. The concept of Good Corporate Governance between conventional banks and Islamic banks is basically the same, but the difference between the two is the existence of Shariah compliance and the existence of the Sharia Supervisory Board (DPS). Islamic banks managed and owned by human resources who have integrity (good morals) and professionals, will encourage the implementation of the principles of good governance (Good Corporate Governance).

Abstract

Disclosure about the formation and development of the Islamic empire in the archipelago, including the underdeveloped field of study. Though the history of the empire in the archipelago is very much to be discussed, both large and small that affect the form of local Islamic traditions and culture. Writing about the sultanate of the archipelago is very little, this is because of limited resources such as local texts, tambo, chronicles, saga, genealogies and so forth. Moreover, an empire in the archipelago that is not too large, will increasingly difficult to express its history and development. Therefore, the study of the Islamic Sultanate in Jambi is a rather neglected study. In fact, according to Azyumardi Azra Jambi is one of the regions in the archipelago that was first visited by Muslim traders from Arabia. The history of the empire in the archipelago is full of tension and conflict, this has made it easier for Western Imperialism to colonize the archipelago. This is not because of its enormous military strength but because of the internal weaknesses of the sultanates in the archipelago who often wage war, intrigue, and try to master each other. One by one the sultanates in the archipelago were controlled, and Western Imperialism took huge profits through the trade routes controlled by the kingdom. The sultanate who was too violent in giving resistance was threatened to be abolished by Western Imperialism.

Abstract

Learning qawaid nahwu (Arabic Grammar) is often considered difficult, especially for beginners in learning Arabic, even many people consider that Arabic is difficult. Learning Arabic for students who receive Bidik Misi scholarships for example, because these students come from different scientific backgrounds and schools and most of them are beginners and have never studied Arabic, therefore special methods and strategies are needed that are different from students who are have learned Arabic even from Pondok Pesantren. There are various ways and strategies used to overcome these difficulties, including by increasing the practice of simple and easy sentence patterns. The lecturer gives examples to students in the form of simple sentence patterns, then students can copy and then create new sentence patterns so that they can easily understand the qowa'id nahwu. For this reason, in this paper, it is explained the importance of understanding simple sentence patterns and examples of making sentences through sentence patterns for students who receive Bidik Misi scholarships at IAIN Bukittinggi.

Abstract

Basically, humans have two great abilities, namely the actual ability and potential ability. Actual abilities are abilities that exist today, abilities that have already been seen. This can be seen (in part) for example from IQ scores, TOEFL scores, and academic scores. Potential abilities are abilities that have not yet been seen, abilities that have the opportunity to develop; Therefore to develop it requires stimulants from the environment (education, parents, teachers, nutrition), for example talents. This article tries to identify several potentials and how to identify them. To identify the potential is needed for teachers to understand their children by understanding the child's growth and developmental tasks at each stage. Ways to identify the potential of children can use two things, namely by identifying the child's talents and knowing their interests (child's personality). Children's talent can be identified from general abilities (intelligence), creativity, and motivation.

Abstract

Bukit Duabelas is in the central part of Jambi Province between land transportation routes, namely between the central and eastern crossings of Sumatra, and the central crossing of Jambi. The position of Bukit Duabelas is also located among four sizable rivers, namely; Batang Hari River is in the north, Tabir River is in the west, Tembesi River is in the east and Merangin River is in the south. Ethnic, ethnic and religious cultures also influence communication styles, so culture can become an obstacle in integrating with one another, cultural barriers in integrating are caused by differences in norms and values shared by those involved in communicating. Suku Anak Dalam is one of the Remote Indigenous Communities that inhabits the interior of Jambi Province, such as those in Merangin and Sarolangun Regencies. Since the last 8 years the Remote Indigenous Communities or better known as Suku Anak Dalam, have begun to experience social changes in the way they dress, education and religion. The Anak Dalam tribe has also begun to adapt to the outside community (Village People). Lately, many Anak Dalam tribes have gradually abandoned their ancestral beliefs and converted to Islam.
