Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the effect of firm performance (ROE) and firm characteristics (Size) on firm value (PBV). The study involves two control variables: situation and industry type. Additionally, this research uses the DPR variable as a moderator for the relationship between ROE and PBV, as well as for the relationship between Size and PBV. This study includes 21 state-owned enterprises (SOEs) listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, with a total of 345 firm-year observations. The findings of this study show that the ROE and Size variables have a negative and significant effect on PBV. Meanwhile, the DPR variable positively moderates the relationship between ROE and PBV, as well as between Size and PBV. The situation and industry type variables were found to have no effect on PBV. The implications are that companies need to be cautious in relying on ROE or large size as indicators to increase PBV. An appropriate dividend policy can be an important strategy to enhance or maintain firm value, particularly for large companies facing challenges in sustaining PBV. Companies need to balance dividend policies with investments for growth and manage organizational complexity to improve PBV.

Abstract

This study seeks to examine the influence of gender diversity on the relationship between sustainability reporting and firm value in Indonesian manufacturing enterprises from 2021 to 2023. This study utilizes secondary data derived from the annual reports of firms listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). This study measures gender diversity by the percentage of female members on a company's board of commissioners. Sustainability reporting is measured using the GRI 2016 standards, with the economic sector divided into 6 subsections consisting of 13 indicators, the environmental sector divided into 8 subsections consisting of 30 indicators, and the social sector divided into 19 subsections consisting of 34 indicators. Firm value is measured using the Price-to-Book Value ratio. The research sample consists of consumer non-cyclicals, and purposive sampling technique is employed. To analyze the data, this study applies Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) with the assistance of SPSS. The results of the study indicate that gender diversity does not moderate the effect of sustainability reporting on firm value. This finding suggests that while sustainability reporting may influence firm value, gender diversity does not have a significant moderating effect in the context of manufacturing companies in Indonesia. This study recommends considering other factors that may be more effective in moderating the relationship between sustainability reporting and firm value. Keywords: "Gender Diversity"; "Sustainability Report"; and "Firm Value"

Abstract

This study examines the impact of socioeconomic and ecological factors on the Willingness to Pay (WTP) for environmental conservation within the Glintung Go Green initiative. The research analyzes key variables, including income , education , employment status , age ), gender , length of residency , flood frequency , and flood impact , to understand their influence on WTP. Using Smart-PLS, the results show that income, education, and employment status positively affect social and ecological factors, which in turn significantly influence WTP (coefficient = 0.533). However, age and length of residency display a negative relationship, suggesting that younger and more recent residents may be more willing to contribute to conservation efforts. This study highlights the importance of socioeconomic improvements to enhance community readiness for supporting environmental initiatives. The findings provide valuable insights for policymakers aiming to promote sustainable practices in urban communities, particularly by leveraging socioeconomic and ecological factors that motivate financial contributions to conservation projects like Glintung Go Green. Keywords: "Glintung Go Green"; "Willingness to Pay"; "Socioeconomic factors"; "Ecological factors"; "Environmental conservation".

Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of the Problem-Oriented Project-Based Learning (POPBL) model, combined with the Pekerti Worksheet, in improving science literacy among students at Middle School 2 Alla, Enrekang, South Sulawesi. POPBL offers a project-based learning approach centered on real-world issues, complemented by the Pekerti Worksheet, which includes questions, essential concepts, action plans, and initiatives. The study utilized a quasi-experimental design with pre-tests and post-tests in a non-equivalent control group format. A total of 75 eighth-grade students were divided into three groups, and data were collected through observations and tests. Hypotheses were tested using Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA). The results indicate that students in the POPBL group utilizing the Pekerti Worksheet demonstrated significantly higher science literacy scores than both the POPBL group without the worksheet and the conventional learning group. Statistical analysis confirmed that the integration of POPBL and the Pekerti Worksheet had a substantial positive impact on science literacy (p = 0.000). These findings support the implementation of the POPBL model with the Pekerti Worksheet as an effective approach to foster the Independent Curriculum in Indonesia's junior high schools, contributing to the enhancement of essential 21st-century skills

Abstract

This study highlights the critical role of omnichannel platforms in transforming purchasing behavior, particularly for essential goods and food and beverage (FB) sectors requiring frequent engagement and seamless online-offline integration. By extending the UTAUT-2 model, this research incorporates Perceived Security and Personal Innovativeness as key factors to investigate omnichannel re-adoption. Using a quantitative survey of active omnichannel users in Indonesia, analyzed with PLS-SEM, the findings reveal a novel insight: traditional UTAUT-2 factors like Performance Expectation and Effort Expectation exert minimal influence, while Perceived Security and Personal Innovativeness significantly drive Behavioral Intention, which strongly predicts Usage Behavior. This underscores the importance of addressing security concerns and leveraging user innovativeness to enhance engagement with omnichannel systems. These results provide actionable insights for practitioners aiming to refine omnichannel strategies and contribute to the academic discourse by prioritizing novel determinants in consumer technology adoption. Future research should explore additional dimensions and address methodological constraints like cross-sectional design and sampling biases.
