The subject area is the public sector. The population is the villages in the Tasikmalaya Region. The method of sampling involves the use of probability sampling with a cluster sampling approach. The villages included in this study are located in the Cibalong sub-district: Cisempur, Setiawaras, Eureunpalay, Cibalong, Singajaya, and Parung—research methodology using a quantitative and survey approach. The data analysis used multiple regression analysis. The findings of this research are that pressure and opportunity have no significant effect but rationalization has a significant positive effect on risk fraud. The sustainability of the village can be ensured by promoting ethical behavior among village officials and enforcing punishment for fraud. Therefore, the central government must take action on this matter.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to provide empirical findings regarding a range of determinants that may impact accounting conservatism. Specifically, the research will examine the effects of company size, CEO ownership, and independent boards. Secondary data, specifically information derived from annual financial reports, is utilised in this study. Information for financial reports is acquired from the IDX data stream and website. From 2013 to 2022, the population of this study comprises all banking institutions listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Significantly positive effects of board independence and company size on accounting conservatism are demonstrated by the findings of this study. Furthermore, CEO ownership has a significant negative impact on accounting conservatism, according to the findings of this study. The findings of this study present a practical illustration for stakeholders regarding the responsibilities of shareholders, which may prove beneficial in overseeing the organization's operations. This research demonstrates that when a company is owned by its CEO, its conservatism decreases. The findings of this research have implications for decision-makers who rely on financial reports. Stakeholders can place trust in managers who provide information about the company through financial reports that reflect its condition. This is supported by the research results, which indicate that conservatism in practice corresponds to the political cost hypothesis, which states that as the size of a company increases, so does conservatism.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the volatility of food prices, especially rice, in Central Java from 2020 to 2023. Food price volatility can have a negative impact on consumer welfare and costs. Indonesia, as a country that still imports basic food needs, is vulnerable to food price volatility. Spikes in food prices can cause inflation to rise and economic growth to decline, which impacts the condition of people's households, especially the poor. This research uses a quantitative method using ARCH GARCH timeseries data. The results of this study are expected to identify and analyze the volatility of rice food prices, predict rice food prices at the end of 2023, and determinex Bank Indonesia's policies related to rice food price volatility. This research is based on the concepts of volatility, food prices, and inflation. Quantitative methods such as ARCH and GARCH models are used to analyze the volatility of rice food prices. Secondary data is used in this study, and the research steps include data collection, data analysis and interpretation, and presentation of results to provide recommendations.

Abstract

This research examines the implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) in HRM functions like recruitment, training, and performance management. It suggests that AI can improve recruitment processes, enhance training and development programs, and optimize performance management by providing more accurate feedback. However, it also highlights challenges such as data privacy and security concerns, job displacement, and the need for human oversight and accountability. The paper discusses the implications for the workforce, organizations, and society and suggests future research to address these issues, ensure human oversight, address social and economic inequalities, develop more effective AI training and development programs, and develop more effective AI governance frameworks. The paper concludes that AI has the potential to impact the future of work in HRM practices significantly, but its implementation must be subject to responsible and ethical governance and regulation to maximize its benefits and mitigate its negative impacts.

Abstract

This research aims to provide empirical evidence on the effects of external pressure and institutional leadership on the utilization of local government performance reports. The hypothesis is built based on institutional theory, especially isomorphism pressure using coercive pressure shown in external pressure and Giddens' structuration theory using the concept of institutional leadership which is thought to influence the process of organizing performance measurement, namely the use of local government performance reports. Data collection and processing was carried out by conducting surveys by handing out questionnaires directly to all Papua Province government work units. The sample of respondents is state civil servants who have a role in preparing performance reports in each agency. The data analysis method uses Partial Least Square (PLS). The results, quite surprisingly, show that the external pressure variable has a significant negative effect on the use of local government performance reports and institutional leadership does not have a significant effect on the use of local government performance reports. The discussion will be reviewed in depth by paying attention to the latest conditions in Papua to try to understand the results of this research.
