Abstract

This paper discusses Democratisation And Conflict In Nigeria. The contemporary history of Nigeria is a tale of internecine conflicts and economic woes. The post-independence vision of Nigeria as a giant of Africa primed to take off into sustained development and democracy has long evaporated. Four decades of nation-building appear to have availed veiy1ittle. Rather than greater integration, there has been, across the nation, a succession of ethnic/religious conflicts, with monumental human ‘casualties and tragedies in their wake. Consequently, various views and strategies are currently being canvassed for peace and ethnic/religious conflict management in a democratic Nigeria. In a plural society like Nigeria, conflicts have been more associated with economic, religious, political, ethnic and communal issues. The surge and spate of such conflicts in Nigeria since the return of democratic dispensation, and their unprecedented spread, longevity and intensity have greatly complicated the political, social, economic and environmental problems of the country. Violent conflict threatens everything, including lives, property, development, democracy, and the viability and sustainability of our nation-state. Thus, the need to resolve conflicts in Nigeria is urgent. This chapter is, therefore, an attempt to contribute to the current debate • on civil society and ethnic/religious conflict management in a democratic Nigeria.

Abstract

Penelitian ini didasarkan karena adanya permasalahan, yaitu kinerja pegawai pada Kantor Camat Rajagaluh Kabupaten Majalengka masih rendah, berdasarkan pengamatan gejala tersebut diduga karena dalam pelaksanaan motivasinya Camat Rajagaluh belum sepenuhnya menerapkan asas-asas motivasi. Hal ini ditandai dengan beberapa indikator masalah yang muncul diantaranya beberapa orang pegawai yang dalam melaksanakan program kerjanya belum mencapai target, beberapa orang pegawai yang belum memahami tugas, pokok dan fungsinya, Adanya kecenderungan rendahnya semangat kerja pegawai dalam melaksanakan tugas-tugasnya, dan beberapa orang pegawai terlambat dalam penyelesaian beberapa laporan kegiatannya. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriftif analisis, teknik pengambilan data melalui wawancara, observasi dan angket. Populasi sebanyak 23 orang dari populasi tersebut diambil sampel 22 orang pegawai diberikan angket dan untuk 1 orang (Camat) dilakukan wawancara dengan menggunakan teknik total sampling atau teknik sensus. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian mengenai Pelaksanaan Motivasi Oleh Camat Dalam Upaya Meningkatkan Kinerja Pegawai pada Kantor Camat Rajagaluh Kabupaten Majalengka baru mencapai 68% dengan peredikat “Cukup Baik”. Sedangkan Kinerja Pegawainya baru mencapai 60% dengan predikat “Cukup Baik”. Dengan demikian maka dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa Camat masih harus berusaha lagi dalam menerapkan asas–asas motivasi dalam upaya meningkatkan Kinerja Pegawai .

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan Untuk mengetahui cara menangani keluhan oleh Humas PT. Kereta Api Indonesia DAOP III Cirebon terhadap pengguna jasa kereta api, untuk mengetahui cara meningkatkan kepuasan pengguna jasa setelah menangani keluhan pada PT. Kereta Api Indonesia DAOP III Cirebon. Metode Penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penanganan keluhan oleh PT Kereta Api DAOP III kepada pengguna jasa secara langsung umumnya dapat ditangani dengan baik dan memuaskan dalam aspek kredibiltas yang diperoleh 74,29% tergolong baik, focus kredibilitas sebesar 62,86% tergolong baik, gaya bicara, bahasa digunakan pengananan 71,43% tergolong sangat baik dan pelayanan keluhan yang langsung diberikan kepada pihak PT Kereta Api DAOP III Cirebon ternyata dapat menciptakan rasa puas bagi konsumen sebesar 54,29% tergolong baik dan meningkatkan citra kepada perusahaan sebesar 71,43% tergolong baik. Kesimpulan akhir dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penanganan komplain langsung yang dilakukan oleh Humas PT Kereta Api DAOP III Cirebon dapat meningkatkan kepuasan bagi para pengguna jasa kereta api.

Abstract

This paper discusses the History Of Amalgamation Of Northern And Southern Protectorates. This research work will be divided into various parts. Firstly, we shall start with preliminary definition of terms. According to Chambers Everyday Dictionary, Legal means “pertaining to”, according to law, “lawful”. Regime means administration amalgamation means “the blending of different things a close union”.1 According to Price, “colonies are territories which has been acquired by the Crown either by settlement, by cession, by purchase or by conquest, and were thus Crown property in which British authority was unassailable in domestic and international law. Nwabueze contends: that the effect of annexation of territory is to divest the sovereign of the territory so annexed of his sovereignty and to transfer it to the British Crown who then becomes the new sovereign of the colony with unlimited powers of Government and a complete dominion over its territory, the inhabitants of which becomes the Crown subjects. A protectorate on the other band implies primarily jurisdiction over the external affairs of the protected territory.

Abstract

Karyawan yang memiliki tingkat kepuasan kerja yang cukup dalam perusahaan memiliki peran penting dalam pencapaian tujuan perusahaan.Melalui kepuasan kerja karyawan, dapat diketahui bagaimana karyawan merespon berbagai program atau rencana perusahaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat kepuasan kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan di lingkungan Kabupaten Majalengka. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, dengan metode survei dan teknik analisis jalur (path analysis). Adapun sampel pada penelitian ini adalah karyawan pada lingkungan Majalengka dengan jumlah sampel 80 0rang karyawan. Tehnik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini yaitu dengan menggunakan kuesioner yang berisi beberapa daftar pernyataan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa meningkatnya kepuasan kerja akan mengakibatkan peningkatan kinerja karyawan sebesar 19%.

Abstract

During the Covid-19 pandemic, the world and Indonesian economies experienced a slowdown and employment became one of the most important factors to lay off some of them because they reduced spending in an income or income crisis at each company. It looks very different from the influence faced when the emergence of the covid-19 virus. Due to the condition of the position of the level of soil fertility that is less likely for them to be able to produce or achieve the needs of economic life to meet the life and position of the world or Indonesia, which is in lockdown, they must be prepared to face life problems that allow them to live. they have to be forced to look for work within their environment, namely by going to sea or getting calls to work, building houses and so on. This study aims to understand the empowerment of coastal communities towards problems their lives from fishing on the island of Siompu in meeting economic needs during the pandemic. The purpose of the study was to determine the empowerment of coastal communities on the income of fishermen on Siompu Island in meeting economic needs during the pandemic. The research method used is qualitative with the type of research is a case study.
