Abstract

In catfish farming it is very important to pay attention to the quality of pond water, including the level of acidity of pond water, and the level of turbidity in the pond. However, some catfish breeders have started to be preoccupied with other activities for quite a long time so that water quality control cannot be controlled anymore. The purpose of this research is to produce a prototype or design of a monitoring and control system for acidity and turbidity levels in pool water that can run automatically and can be monitored remotely using the internet. This study aims to make a prototype control for controlling the pH of catfish pond water using an Arduino Uno as a microcontroller and a pH meter sensor and turbidity sensor. This study uses the fuzzy logic control method. Fuzzy method calculations are performed using two input parameters, namely water turbidity and water pH. The output of the fuzzy calculation results is in the form of a timer, which is the length of time it takes to drain the pool water. The Fuzzy Sugeno method was chosen to control the degree of acidity of the water according to the needs of catfish by draining the water for a duration determined from the results of Fuzzy Sugeno calculations as the z center point. The results of the pH and turbidity sensor readings will be displayed on the LCD and then by Arduino it will be sent to Esp8266 to be forwarded to the user via the Blynk application. Based on the research that has been done, an automatic pH adjustment system has been built and can be accessed through the Blynk application. The accuracy of the pH sensor can read the value of the degree of acidity with an average error of 2.053% so that it can be said that the sensor works quite well because the sensor can still read changes in the degree of acidity in different waters even though the changes are quite small. The turbidity sensor used also has fairly good reliability with an average error of 8.057%. Testing the calculation of the Sugeno method is carried out by comparing the calculation results of Fuzzy Logic Control with the results of Matlab calculations.

Abstract

In an electric power system, protection is needed that can protect and also secure users and electrical equipment, so a system is needed, namely a grounding system at the electricity distribution substation. The grounding system in the distribution network aims to directly protect people and equipment if a ground fault occurs or a current leak occurs which causes insulation failure, overvoltage on distribution network equipment and lightning can also produce fault currents and overvoltage. The danger of disturbances caused by lightning can be overcome if the grounding system is good, that is, it has a grounding resistance value of less than ≤1 ohm so that the current from disturbances caused by lightning can flow directly into the ground. Several distribution substations at ULP Soreang often experience problems because the resistance values are quite high, namely 34.2 Ω, 25 Ω, 41.5 Ω, 6.42 Ω, and 10.98 Ω. The method used is a drive ground system, namely by installing a grounding rod or rod electrode into the ground to reduce the resistance value so that it can conduct excess current so that it can secure electrical equipment and maintain the safety of people who use it. The results of the research can be used as a reference in determining actions to prevent early distribution disruptions or as material for determining the installation of grounding at substations that are distributed appropriately, so that the Soreang UP3 Majalaya ULP grounding system can maintain its confidentiality.

Abstract

The electricity demand continues to increase every year in line with advancing technology and society's dependence on electricity supply. The society's reliance on electricity drives the improvement of power quality by PLN, one of which is the enhancement of voltage quality. At PT. PLN (Persero) Unit Layanan Pelanggan (ULP) Plered, there is a distribution feeder with an end voltage that is still below the standard. In this study, an analysis of the system related to the improvement of voltage drop on the GNAP distribution feeder was conducted with the assistance of ETAP simulation. The voltage drop improvement was carried out using the load splitting method, which involves redistributing a portion of the load to another feeder. The obtained results show that the voltage drop on the GNAP feeder decreased from the initial 1.19 kV to 0.84 kV during daytime load and from 1.24 kV to 0.90 kV during nighttime load. The voltage loss also experienced a decrease from the initial 5.95% to 4.18% during daytime load and from 6.20% to 4.51% during nighttime load.

Abstract

This research aims to map land cover in Bandung City using the Random Forest (RF) algorithm implemented on the Google Earth Engine (GEE) cloud-based platform. Sentinel-2 satellite image data was used to analyze four main classes of land cover, namely residential land, green land, water, and open land. The classification process involved initial data processing, model training using sample data, and accuracy evaluation through confusion matrix and cross-validation. The results showed that the RF algorithm had an overall accuracy of 89%, with the highest accuracy in the residential land class (92%) and the lowest in the water class (80%). Cross-validation showed stable performance with an average accuracy of 88.5%, precision 0.91, recall 0.88, and F1-score 0.89. Confusion matrix analysis identified misclassification in certain classes due to spectral overlap, especially between green land and open area. This research proves that the RF algorithm in GEE is an efficient and accurate method for land cover classification, while supporting spatial planning and environmental management. Further developments could include the use of higher resolution data, advanced learning algorithms and time-based analysis to understand the dynamics of land cover change.

Abstract

Office buildings and homes are in dire need of electrical installations, but there are still quite a lot of people we meet who do not understand the design of safe electrical installations in accordance with the General Regulation on Electrical Installation (PUIL). By paying attention to PUIL in the installation of electrical installation design, a good and correct and safe electrical installation can be obtained. The purpose of this study is to determine a good and correct and safe electrical installation, determine the specifications and safety components needed and determine the recapitulation of the power used. The method of planning the electrical system in the building follows the standards that have been determined, namely PUIL 2020 and SNI energy conservation in lighting systems 2020. This planning produces installation design drawings in the form of situation drawings and one-line diagrams. From the calculation, a current of 55.63 Amperes was obtained and a total installed power of 36,571 VA, so that the main MCCB protection component was selected with a capacity of 3 x 63 Ampers. For the submission of electrical power connection services to PT. PLN (Persero) is 41,500 VA with a 3 x 25 Ampere MCB limiter. The type and cross-sectional area of the cable selected for the main cable based on PUIL 2020 is NYY 4 x 25 mm2.

Abstract

The City of Cimahi, one of the developing cities in West Java, requires reliable communication infrastructure to support its economic and social growth. However, Cimahi currently lacks 5G network coverage from any operator. Therefore, this study aims to plan a 5G NR network using the 2,300 MHz frequency for Cimahi. This study employs a quantitative method with a simulation approach using Atoll Planning software. The data analyzed includes Synchronization Signal Reference Signal Received Power (SS-RSRP) levels across the entire area of Cimahi. The study compares the planning results between capacity planning and coverage planning methods previously applied. The analysis involves calculating the network capacity required based on the number of users, area types, and signal quality levels. The analysis reveals significant differences in area coverage and signal quality between the two approaches. Capacity planning, which uses 67 sites, provides a coverage area of 9.591 km² with better signal quality (SS-RSRP > -90 dBm). In contrast, coverage planning with 26 sites covers a larger area of 27.641 km² but with lower signal quality (SS-RSRP < -90 dBm). This research offers valuable insights for designing an optimal 5G network for Cimahi by considering both capacity and coverage needs.

Abstract

This research discusses the design and implementation of a PID controller-based liquid flow control system equipped with a Disturbance Observer (DOB). The system is designed to compensate for the influence of external disturbances that can interfere with control performance. The design process starts with modeling the system dynamics using mathematical equations, followed by designing a PID controller to regulate the flow according to the desired setpoint. The DOB is designed by utilizing the inverse model of the system to estimate the disturbances that occur and compensate for their effects on the control signals in real-time. Simulations were conducted to compare the performance of the system with and without DOB in the face of disturbances. The results show that the system with DOB has better performance, with more stable response, faster recovery time, and smaller steady-state error than the system without DOB. This confirms the effectiveness of DOB in improving the robustness of the control system against external disturbances.

Abstract

This study aims to predict the semester in which students complete their final thesis using transcript data and three regression algorithms: Linear Regression, Kernel Ridge Regression, and Decision Tree Regression. The research evaluates the performance of each model using Mean Squared Error (MSE) and Mean Absolute Error (MAE) as evaluation metrics. The experimental results show that Kernel Ridge Regression outperforms the other two models with an MSE of 2.271 and an MAE of 1.251. In comparison, Linear Regression achieved an MSE of 5.137 and an MAE of 1.859, while Decision Tree Regression produced an MSE of 4.1 and an MAE of 1.2. These findings indicate that Kernel Ridge Regression is the most effective method for predicting the completion semester based on academic transcripts, providing more accurate and reliable results. The study contributes to the academic field by demonstrating the potential of machine learning models in predicting students' academic progress and supporting better decision-making for academic management.

Abstract

PT X is a contract manufacturing company that produces metal-based items and has established contracts with several manufacturers, resulting in variations in item demand. The demand for all items can be met through the company’s four departments: cutting, milling, Computer Numerical Control (CNC), and press. Among these departments, the CNC department recorded the lowest productivity percentage in 2023. This was due to the absence of tools or dashboards capable of monitoring CNC machine conditions in real time. To address this issue, a dashboard system was designed to monitor the productivity of CNC machines. The design method used in this study is the Vilarinho method, which begins with diagnosing the productive area, followed by planning and identifying system requirements, developing the system, and concluding with system testing and implementation. The dashboard system was developed using Node-Red software and implemented directly on two CNC machines. The dashboard includes a display that presents data and information reflecting the productivity of CNC machines at PT X. This dashboard will serve as a tool for monitoring and decision-making for both managerial staff and production personnel regarding the CNC machine production process.
