Gadjah Mada Journal of Professional Psychology (GamaJPP) e-ISSN 2407-7801 is an open-access journal disseminating articles with implications for research and practices professional psychology. GamaJPP welcomes manuscript in the areas of:: Clinical Psychology Education Psychology Developmental Psychology Industrial and Organizational Psychology using empirical, systematic literature review, and experimental research designs that meet the standard publication are accepted in this journal. Conceiving a child in marriage is one factor that influencing well-being. The inability to have a child means to pressure and suffering for the couple, especially toward women with idiopathic infertility. This study aimed to investigate the influence of Narima Ing Pandum (NIP) therapy. NIP was developed based on Javanese values of sabar (patience), syukur (gratitude) and narima (acceptance). This study used a single case A-B-A design. Psychological well-being and NIP measured using NIP checklist and psychological well-being checklist. Visual inspection and descriptive analysis were used. The result indicated that NIP therapy increased the psychological well being of married women with idiopathic infertility, marked by the increasing of NIP values of the two participants.

Distress in parenting can cause a parent’s emotional reactions, perceptual bias, and influence negative parenting behavior. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the Mindful Parenting Program on the parenting stress changes of single-parent whom parenting a child with multiple disabilities. The single-subject design was used in this study by considering the unique characteristics of the individual participant. The research data were obtained using stress parenting scale, mindful parenting scale, daily self-report, observation, and interview. The results showed the effect of the Mindful Parenting Program that was emerged only temporary changes in stress parenting of single-parent whom parenting a child with multiple disabilities. The participant experiences a temporary increase of mindful parenting skills that showed the changes in participant’s awareness of physical sensation, emotions, thoughts, and parenting behavior which related to the changes in parenting stress. Further research’s needed.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of illumination on stress and productivity. The research subjects were 60 employees of Purworejo X Plant located in the final part of final eyelash cutting. Stages of data analysis in this study, by studying data productivity level and employee stress before and after the treatment using statistical techniques T. Test. The results showed that the change in lighting intensity of Kepmenkes standard numb. 1405 in 2002 amounted to 1000 lux to 2000 lux according to the standard of Illuminating Engineering Society based on experiments that have been done to increase employee productivity as much as 22% (pre: M: 74.39, SD: 4.35, post: M: 105.48, SD: 9.77) and reduce stress levels from employees as much as 11% (pre: M: 3.8367, SD: 0.171, post: M: 2.9313, SD: 0.18001). The conclusion of this experiment is an increase in lighting level of 1000 lux in accordance with the work of more detail can increase work productivity and reduce employee stress levels.

Teacher’s social-emotional competence has a significant role in effective teaching. The many challenges faced by teachers such as student’s negligent, student’s misbehavior, and various classroom dynamics make teachers often experience negative emotions, such as frustration and anger. The challenge becomes greater when teachers have an inclusive class. Emotional intelligence training is one of way to improve this social-emotional competence. This study aims to develop and test the validity of CARE module for primary school teachers, especially in inclusive schools. The content validity test will use Aiken’s V for the data analysis. The empirical test will be conducted by using quasi-experimental with untreated control group design with dependent pretest and posttest. Result shows that CARE module has good content validity with Aiken’s V 0.75-0.96, but emotional intelligence not significantly improved U (n=16) = 21, p >.05, in experiment group (M=12) than control group (M=1,9).

The aim of this study is to examine the validity of Supportive Expressive Group Therapy modules to reduce depression in infertility women. Participants in this research consist of 12 people. The results of validity content through professional judgment obtained that the coefficient of validity Aiken's V moves from 0.58 to 0.92 with a reliability coefficient of 0.972. This indicates that the module has good content validity. While empirical validity testing is done by a quasi-experiment method. The analysis method used nonparametric Mann Whitney U-test. The result of the analysis shows that the value of Z is -2.756 with probability equal to 0.006 (p <0,05). This suggests that there is a significant difference between the level of depression in the control group and the experimental group after receiving supportive-expressive therapy.

The “INTERAKTIF” training was compiled to increase the empathy of a school counselor in assisting their students. The “INTERAKTIF” module consists of emotional intelligence and therapeutic communication theory. The research was conducted by untreated control group design method with dependent pretest and posttest samples, which include experimental group and control group. Participants in this research consist of 46 junior high school counselors in Yogyakarta. Statistical analysis result using Mixed ANOVA showed that empathy level on experiment group significantly differs from the control group (F=4,805, p = 0,034). The final result shows that the “INTERAKTIF” training effective in increasing the junior high school counselor’s empathy in Yogyakarta.

This study aimed to examine the effects of anchoring in task performance appraisal. It was hypothesized that there would be difference score measuring task performance with high anchoring and low anchoring methods. High anchoring method was predicted to show higher scores rather than using low anchoring method. Participants were 117 post-graduate students from Master of Management in Universitas Gadjah Mada. They were assigned in two groups. The first group (N=70) was instructed to rate an employee from lower to higher score (high anchoring method), while the second group (N=47) was instructed to rate the employee from higher to lower score (low anchoring method). Result of independent sample T-test showed that anchoring method had no significant effect on task performance appraisal. Factors which might be affecting this result are discussed

This research developed a “Rumah Ramah Literasi” training program to improve parent’s stimulation of literacy skills using environmental print as a media. The research hypothesis is the “Rumah Ramah Literacy” training program can improve parent’s stimulation of literacy skills. The experimental design employed in this present study is The Untreated Control Group Design with Pretest and Posttest Sample s. The subject of this research is 18 mothers which are 9 mothers in the experimental group and 9 mother rs in the control group. The data were analyzed using Mann Whitney U-Test. The result of this study was found that gain score literacy stimulation was significantly higher, U(n=18) =0,001, p<0,05 in the experimental group (M=14) than in the control group (M=5).This indicates that “Rumah Ramah Literasi” training program could improve parents’ literacy stimulation. The effect size of “Rumah Ramah Literacy” training program was 0,84.

This study aims to determine the effect of impulsivity and computer-mediated communication on differences in online participation. This research is an experimental research with Posttest only design. Participants involved in this study were students with an age range of 17-22 years, totaling 30 participants. Participants will be divided into two groups namely using the computer-mediated communication real name (CMR) and computer-mediated communication anonymously (CMA), each group consists of 15 participants. This study used Barrat Impulsive Scale (BIS) 11 to determine participants' impulsivity. Data analysis in this study used Two-way analysis of variance. Based on the result of the interaction model analysis between impulsivity and computer-mediated communication to online participation, it is known that the value of F = 1,587 with significance equal to 0,219 (p> 0,05). This research found that there is no significant difference in online participation based on computer-mediated communication of CMR and CMA, both at low, medium and high levels of impulsivity.

This research includes gender as moderator as well as the intelligence and motivation of learning as the covariance of learning achievement. This research design is causal-comparative by comparing mathematics learning achievement between learning with iPad and conventional media. The overall research’s subjects are 128 students. The result shows that there are differences in learning achievement between multimedia learning iPad for Learning and conventional learning media (F=48,698, p<0,05). Students who use iPad media have an average mathematics learning achievement higher than a student in conventional learning media. In this research, the interaction between genders and learning media on mathematics learning achievement proved to be low (F=0,318, p>0,05).
