Abstract

Backgroud : The prevalence of Sectio Caesarea in Indonesia reaches 17,6%. Sectio Caesarea in an artificial birth in which the fetus is delivered through an incision. The surgical process requires anaesthesia. Spinal anaesthesia used in Secto Caesarea causes complications such as hypotension, bradycardia, hypoxia and hypothermia. Accordingly, patient’s vital sign must be observed during preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative. Objective : The study ised a descriptiver method wit an observasional approach, data collection used an observation sheet for vital sign. The study involved 40 Sectio caesarea patients with spinal anaesthesia at RSI PKU Muhammadiyah Pekajangan Pekalongan. Result : The result show that most of the Sectio caesarea patients with spinal anaesthesia aged 20-35 years (87,5%), had a high school education level (42,5%) and mltigravida (72,5%). Hypotension and bradycardia occurred 5 minutes after spinal anaesthesia. The mean systolic blood pressure was 89,28 mmHg, diastolic 59,35 mmHg, pulse 59,53 times/minute. Hypothermia occurred 15 minutes after spinal anaesthesia with an average temperature of 34,89°C. Conclusion : observastion of vital signs is very important in Sectio caesarea patiens with spinal anaesthesia at RSI PKU Muhammadiyah Pekajangan Pekalongan.

Abstract

Knowledge is a result of curiosity through sensory processes, especially in the eyes and ears of certain objects. Knowledge possessed by humans has levels such as understanding (Comprehesion), application (application), analysis (analysis), synthesis (synthesis), evaluation (evaluation). The mother's role is very beneficial for the overall growth and development process of toddlers, therefore it is necessary for the mother to have proper knowledge about stimulation so that the growth and development of toddlers can be optimal. An important period in the development of children is the toddler period. Efforts to improve the quality of life of children under five are by monitoring the development of children. Objective: This study aims to describe the knowledge of mothers about the growth and development of children aged 1-5 years. Sample: The sampling technique using accidental sampling, as many as 55 respondents. Methods: This study uses a quantitative description method. For data collection using a questionnaire. Results: From 55 respondents who have children aged 1-5 years, it is known that the mother's knowledge is in the good category as many as 38 respondents (69,1%), the sufficient category is 17 respondents (30,9%), and the poor category is 0 respondents (0%). Conclusion: From the results of the research conducted, it is concluded that the knowledge of mothers about the growth and development of children aged 1-5 years in HA Zaki Djunaid Hospital has sufficient knowledge with a total of 38 respondents (69,1%).

Abstract

Neonatal mortality reate is an indicator to determine the community health status involving various programs in the community. Neonatal mortality is defined as death in infants aged 0-28 days caused by maternal and infant factors. Objective: This study aims to describe neonatal mortality in the perinatalogy ward of Muhammadiyah Pekajangan Hospital Pekalongan Regency. Samples: A descriptive study with a longitudinal design was used. The research sample was neonates who died at 0-28 days in the perinatology ward of Muhammadiyah Pekajangan Hospital Pekalongan Regency in the 2017-2020 period as many as 57 documents. Methodes: The sampling technique used was total sampling. The research instrument used medical records. Data analyisis used univariate analysis with frequency distribution. Results: The results of the study showed that the majority of neonatal mortality was 66,7% male, 93,3% aged 0-6 days, 56,1% premature, 43,9% caesarean section and 61,4% low body weight. The cause of neonatal death is known to be 64,9% asphyxia. Conclusion: Recommendations for hospital are to analyze trend in the causes of neonatal deaths to be considered for hospital policy making in providing health services to pregnant and maternity women.

Abstract

Controlling the mortality rate is very important to determine the level of quality standards of hospital services. The Early Warning System (EWS) helps nurses detect deteriorating conditions and identify patient needs so as to reduce mortality. This study aims to describe the perception of nurses about the use of EWS in the inpatient unit of RSI Pekajangan. Quantitative descriptive research design. The sampling technique in this study was total sampling with a total of 53 respondents. The data collection tool uses a questionnaire. The results showed the average age of the respondents was 33.38 years, most of the respondents were female as many as 38 respondents (71.7%), some respondents had Diploma 3 education as many as 48 respondents (90.6%) and the average tenure respondents were 9.75 years old, most respondents had a perception of the EWS in the good category, namely 44 respondents (83.3%) and most respondents had a perception about the use of EWS in the sufficient category, namely 37 respondents (69.8%). The results of this study recommend that nurses are expected to improve their ability in implementing the early warning system (EWS) so that the incidence of cardiac arrest, respiratory arrest and mortality in hospitals can decrease.

Abstract

COVID-19 is a global pandemic that has become the worid’s attention. The Indonesia government has declared COVID-19 a National Disaster. As front – line health care providers, nurses have a high risk af being exposed to COVID-19. Compliance using personal protective equipment ( PPE ) is essential in preventing the transmission of COVID-19. Objective this study aims to determine the relationship between personal protective equipment compliance and the incidence of COVID-19 among nurses at Muhammadiyah Pekajangan Hospital. Sample this study involved all nurses at Muhammadiyah Pekajangan Hospital as many as 143 respondents ( Response rate 93 % ). Methods a descriptive correlative study with a cross – sectional approach was used. Data were collection using a self – protection compliance questionnaire. Data were analyzed by using chi – square. The results showed that most of the nurses aged 26 – 35 years ( 60.2 % ), female ( 66.9 % ), had a three years Nursing education ( 85 % ) with a working period of 5 years ( 76.7 ), and did not comply with the use of personal protective equipment ( 72.9% ) and had never been confirmed positive for COVID-19 ( p – value < 0.001; OR = 11.23 ). This study indicatet that nurses who comply with personal protective equipment have an 11 times chance of not experiencing COVID – 19. Conclusion compliance with the use of personal protective equipment is critical in preventing the transmission of COVID – 19 to nurses.

Abstract

Background: COVID-19 managed to interfere the world with its presence at the end of 2019. The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic occurred in various fields such as social, economic, tourism and education. A huge impact is felt in the education sector where the learning process must be done online and accessed via gadgets. This situation makes the intensity of the use of gadgets in school students will increase because the learning process must continue, where for now the phenomenon of using gadgets among school-age children continues to increase, this certainly has an impact on children and the negative impact is dominant. Facing conditions like this makes some parents experience psychosocial problems. Objective: This study aims to identify the psychosocial problems of parents due to the use of gadgets in school-age children during the COVID-19 pandemic Sample: Total sampling technique in selecting research subjects with a sample of 157 parents/guardians of students at SDN 02 Mayangan, Pekalongan Regency. Methods: This research is a quantitative research using analytical description research. Results: The results showed several psychosocial problems experienced by parents, including mental emotional disorders as much as 54.8%, addictive substance abuse as much as 3.2%, psychotic symptoms as much as 24.8% and PTSD as much as 44.6%. Conclusion: Psychosocial problems have been proven to be experienced by parents whose children are undergoing the online primary school level learning process during the COVID 19 pandemic.

Abstract

Low Birth Weight Babies are one of the contributing factors to infant mortality, especially during the perinatal period.The study was to describe the characteristics of mother and the condition of low birt weight babies in the perinatology room of RSI PKU Muhammadiyah Pekajangan. This study used a descriptive method with data collection from medical record totaling 88 data for low birth weight babies. Result the characteristics of mother who gave birth to low birth weight babies are the majority age 20-35 years 72 data (81,8%) work as a housewife 48 data (54,5%) father’s occupation as labor 33 data (37,5%). The mother”s last education was high school, but there 24 data (27,3%) educated at university. Pregnancy interval more than 2 years 67 data (76,2%) multiparity 50 data (56,8%) having a history of anemia 3 data (3,4%) and history of hypertension 17 data (19,3%). The baby”s condition included 84 data of LBW (95,5%) asphyxia and respiratory distress 15 data (17%) gestational age >37 weeks 55 data (62,5%) joundice 9 data (10,2%) hypoglycemia 23 data (26,1%) congenital abnormalities one data (1,1%) infant mortality 4 data (4,6%) seizures one data (1,1%) and LBW with anemia 3 data (3,4%).Suggestion : Nurses in the Perinatology Room should provide health education to mothers who have LBW for the prevention of LBW by improving the nutrition of pregnant women and preventing multiparas.

Abstract

Background: Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS) is a collection of disease processes that include unstable angina pectoris to Q wave myocardial infarction, caused by narrowing of the arteries due to the atherosclerosis process which is characterized by characteristic chest pain, changes in cardiac enzymes, and changes in electrocardiographic (ECG) images. . According to WHO (2017) 30% of deaths in the world are due to ACS. ECG is the main non-invasive investigation in establishing the diagnosis of ACS and evaluating the development of ACS itself. The purpose of the study: to determine the characteristics and descriptions of the development of the ECG in patients with acute coronary syndrome Methods: This study uses a retrospective descriptive research design, a documentation study with a total sample technique of 19 medical record data for ICU patients at RSI PKU Muhammadiyah Pekajangan for the period January 2019-December 2020. Results: The results of the medical record study of ACS patients mostly occurred in women (52.6%), the average occurred at the age of 61 years with an elementary school education of 57.9%, the average attack occurred 3.95 hours before entering the hospital, most of the first attacks (84.2%), mostly experienced in patients with hypertension 42.1%, with the ECG on the first day mostly ST elevation (68.4%) on the 2nd day there was a downward trend to 11 cases (57, 9%) ,10 cases (52.6%) on the 3rd day. and Isoelectric 1 case (5.3%). Conclusion: This study is expected to be a reference for hospitals to improve the improvement of ACS services in the ICU.

Abstract

Pulmonary tuberculosis is oner the tip 10 causes of death in the world. Indonesia is the country with the most pulmonary tuberculosis sufferers in 2020. Factors causing pulmonary tuberculosis reccurent include : age, gender, education, occupation and smoking. The study aimed to examine the relationship between the characteristics and the incidence of relaps in pulmonary tuberculosis patient at RSI PKU Muhammadiyah Pekajangan Pekalongan. This study used a descriptive design with a retrospective approach. Data collectin using medical records. The are 391 pulmonary tuberculosis patients involved in study. The results shoe that most of the pulmonary tuberculosis patiens aged 56-65 years (23,5%), male gender (53,5%), low education level (67%), working (60,1%), smoking (52,4%) and no reccurence (95,4%). The result the Spearman correlation test show that there was asignificant relationship between age (p = 0,001), gender (p = 0,002), education (p = 0,018) and smoking (p = 0,027) wit the incidence of relaps in pulmonary tuberculosis patients. There was no significant relationship between work (p = 0,562) with incidence of relapse in pulmonary tuberculosis patients at RSI PKU Muhammadiyah Pekajangan Pekalongan. Risk factor related to patient characterstics need to be considered in an effort to prevebt recurrent of pulmonary tuberculosis at RSI PKU Muhammadiyah Pekajangan Pekalongan.

Abstract

Background : Nursing is a profession that aims to serve humanity. Nurse-patient interaction involves a professional and therapeutic relationship. The most important in providing nursing services is caring. Caring behaviour is an attitude, care, respect, and respectfor others. The caring behaviour of nurses may be influenced by personality type. Objective : This study aims to determine the relationship between personality type and caring behaviour of nurses. Sample : This study involved all 69 inpatient ward nurses of Muhammadiyah Pekajangan Hospital. Methotds : This descriptive study with a cross-sectional approach was used. Data were collected by using an online questionnaire by google form. Chi-square was used as a statistical test. Results The Results showed that 52 respondents (75%) had introverted personality types, with the mayority of good caring behaviour 67 people (97,1%). The results showed that personality types were not related to caring behaviour (p-value = 0,402 ; p >0,05), which means Ho is rejected. Conclusion : There is no relationship between personalty type and caring behaviour of nurses.
