Abstract

This research is a descriptive study which aims to describe and analyze the value of character education and its relevance to literary learning in the novel "Rindu" by Tere Liye. The theories that underlie this research are (1) literary works, (2) novels, (3) character education values, (4) the nature of literature and literary learning and (5) novels as literary learning materials. This study uses an instrument in the form of data, namely a tool selected and used by researchers in collecting data so that these activities become systematic. Data collection was done by using document recording methods and data reduction. The data obtained were descriptive qualitative. The steps to analyze the data were (1) describing the data, (2) analyzing the data, (3) concluding the results of the analysis. The results of this study indicate that 45 data were found including religious values (5), tolerance values (5), disciplinary values (2), independent values (2), democratic values (4), national spirit values (4), friendly values. communicative (3), the value of peace (3), the value of love to read (2), the value of social care (4), the value of honesty (2), the value of creative (2), the value of curiosity (2), the value of love for the country (2), and the value of rewarding achievement (3). Meanwhile, the value relevance of character education with literary learning is closely related to fostering good moral values for each human being to others and their environment.

Abstract

This research is a qualitative descriptive study which aims to determine the form of socio-cultural values and the form of conveying socio-cultural values by the author in Syahid Muhammad's novel Paradigma. The theories that underlie this research are (1) the nature of literary works, (2) the nature of novels as literary works, (3) the understanding of literary psychology, (4) literature in a psychological perspective, (5) social values in literature, (6) understanding of social values, (7) understanding of cultural values, and (8) understanding of socio-culture in society. The data was collected by means of documentation and literature methods. The data in this study were processed using qualitative analysis techniques, namely, the analysis was carried out interactively and continued to completion. The steps in data analysis are (1) reading, analyzing and understanding, (2) understanding text, (3) recording data in the form of words, sentences, expressions and statements, (4) grouping data, (5) describing data, (6) analyze the data, and (7) conclude the results of data analysis. The results of this study indicate the findings of socio-cultural values. The socio-cultural values found were (1) emotional, (2) trust, (3) organizational, (4) apologizing, (5) prejudice, (6) wisdom, (7) stereotypes, (8) life lessons, (9) social rules / patterns of thinking, and (10) manners. The form of socio-cultural values in this novel tends to be prejudiced and stereotyped. The campus residents' prejudice against Rana's character who has a soft attitude and is friends with women makes Rana suspected of deviating. Then there is a stereotype that mental illness is evidence of the distance between humans and God which is shown by one of the character. The novel Paradigma by Syahid Muhammad can also be found in the form of conveying socio-cultural values by the author, namely direct and indirect delivery.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and explain about (1) The form of conversational implicature that appears in the process of learning Indonesian in class VII - 1 of Tawakkal Depasar Junior High School, (2) Implications of conversational implicature on the process of learning Indonesian in class VII - 1 of Tawakkal Depasar Middle School are theoretical implications, pedagogical implications, practical implications, (3) Factors that lead to the emergence of conversational implications in the process of learning Indonesian in class VII - 1 of Tawakkal Depasar Junior High School. The research approach used is a descriptive qualitative research method. The subjects of this study were students and Indonesian Language Teachers who were teaching grades VII - 1 of Tawakkal Middle School, Denpasar. The results of this study found the forms and factors as well as the implications of conversational implicatures, namely: conventional implied form, special implied form, general implied form, scale implied form. The underlying factors are language, intimacy, sensitivity, culture, caring and compassion. The implications include the theoretical implications, pedagogical implications, practical implications.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the intrinsic and extrinsic elements in the novel Dia Is Kakakku by Tere Liye. The method in this research uses qualitative analysis methods. Based on the data analysis, the intrinsic elements contained in Tere Liye's novel Dia Is My Kakakku are (1) the theme in Tere Liye's Dia Is My Kakakku novel tells the love of an older brother, (2) the main character in Tere Liye's Dia Is my Kakakku novel. namely Laisa, while the additional characters are Mamak, Dalimunte, Ikanuri, Wibisana, Yashinta, Wak Burhan, Cie Hui. (3) The setting is divided into two, namely the setting of the place covering the Lahambay Valley, Jungle Forest, Upper Village, Sub-District City, river, house, schools, airports, hospitals and the time setting in this story is at 19:30 local time. (4) language style, namely metamonia language style, (5) "he" third person point of view (6) The plot/plot used is the situational stage, the conflict and conflict stages decrease, the emergence of conflicts, (7) the mandate is to fight hard, be patient , unyielding, and responsible like Laisa who did her best to raise her four siblings with Mamak Lainuri. The extrinsic elements contained in the novel Dia Is My Kakakku are (1) the background of the author, namely the biography of the author of the novel, (2) the socio-cultural situation of the author and its influence on the literary work created, namely the author in making the novel (3) the values contained in the novel. namely moral values, cultural values, social values, religious values.

Abstract

This research is a descriptive studi aimed at describing (1) the structure that builds my father’s novel (not) Liar by Tere Liye, (2) the educational value in my father’s novel (not) Liar by Tere Liye’s work (3) Language stlye in my father’s novel (not) Liar Tere Liye’s . The method use is qualitative descriptive. The object of study is the educational value and language stly in my father’s novel (not) liar. This research data in the from of words, phrases, sentences, and discourse that contain educational value and language stlyes in the novel father’s not liar. Data collection techniques used were observation and literature. Based on the results of this study are. Based on an analysis of the value of education in the novel my father is not a lair namely, a) honest, b) independent, c) hard work, d) responsibility, e) fond of reading, f) curiosity, g) discipline, h) respect achievement, i) friendly or communicative, j) social care, and k) tolerance. In addition there are also various styles of language used by the author in my father’s novel (not) a liar by namely, a) Equality or simile, b) personification, c) metaphor, d) irony, and e) hyperbole.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are to: (1) describe the language style used by the author in Oka Rusmini's collection of Men Coblong Essays; (2) describe the socio-culture contained in Oka Rusmini's collection of Men Coblong essays; The method used in this research is an empirical method. The empirical method of research which is solely based on existing facts and also phenomena that are empirically alive in the speaker, so that what is produced or recorded is a description of the language which is usually said to be like a portrait: exposure as it is, in In this research, the document in question is the collection of Men Coblong Essays by Oka Rusmini. The data source in this study is the collection of Men Coblong Essays by Oka Rusmini published by Grasindo publication in 2019. The data collection technique used in this study is the note-taking technique, because the data is in the form of text. The steps in data collection are as follows: (1) reading Oka Rusmini's collection of Men Coblong Essays repeatedly; (2) record sentences that state the use of language and socio-cultural styles. The data analysis technique used in this study used a flow analysis model which included three components, namely: 1) data reduction; (2) data presentation; (3) drawing conclusions. Based on the results of the study, it is concluded that: (1) the language styles contained in Oka Rusmini's collection of Men Coblong essays are: Personification, Parable, Hyperbole, Metonomia, Metaphorical Language, Euphemistic Language; (2) socio-culture contained in the collection of Men Coblong Essays by Oka Rusmini, namely: caring, courtesy, sacrifice, independence, discipline, purity of the heart of faith.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is: (1) to find out the forms of discrimination and (2) to know the value of feminism in the novel "Earth Man" by Pramoedya Ananta Toer. This type of research uses a qualitative descriptive approach by descriptive writing. Data collection method is done using documentation and literature method, namely tracing data from books and online media so that researchers can find information data online as quickly and easily as possible and can be accounted for academically. While the steps to analyze the data i.e. (1) reduce the data (2) present the data (3) verifiation and conclude the data. The results show that (1) basically, the author raises injustice through the form of discrimination experienced by women in this novel. One way is to describe the violation of the rights and discredit of their existence. Through "Earth Man", the author wants to remind us that everyone has equal rights and others must respect those rights regardless of their status, position, ethnicity, nation, or gender. The author finds forms of discrimination in the novel "Earth Man" namely: (a) discrimination in the family, (b) discrimination in society, (c) discrimination in law and politics, (d) discrimination in religion, and (d) discrimination in the economy. Writers who oppose discrimination, including discrimination against women, found a struggle against all forms of discrimination, especially reflected by two figures, Nyai Ontosoroh and Annelies Mellema. Through this figure the author discovers the values of feminism contained in the novel "Earth Man" namely (a) liberal feminism, (b) socialist feminism and (c) multicultural feminism.

Abstract

The selection of the novel "Ayah" as a research material is based on the story in this novel which presents many interesting stories and life problems and there are various languages and moral values which are very useful for readers. This study aims to analyze the variety of languages and moral values contained in the novel "Ayah" by Andrea Hirata. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach. The results of this study found that the varieties of language contained in the novel "Ayah" by Andrea Hirata consisted of: literary, dialectic, functional, informal, scientific, oral, uneducated, and social varieties. The moral values contained in the novel "Ayah" by Andrea Hirata consist of: the value of care, the value of chastity, the value of sacrifice, the value of honesty, the value of politeness, the value of discipline, and the value of independence.

Abstract

This research is a descriptive study which aims (1) to determine the language style used in Andrea Hirata's novel Sang Pemimpi; (2) This is to determine the implications of the language style of Sang Pemimpi novel in learning Indonesian Language and Literature. Data collection was carried out by reading techniques, recording documents and data reduction. The data in this study were processed using qualitative analysis techniques, namely, the analysis was carried out interactively and continued to completion. The stages in data analysis are data presentation and data analysis. The results of this study indicate that there are 21 types of language styles consisting of 116 language style data. Analysis of the implications of the language style of the novel Sang Pemimpi by Andrea Hirata in Learning Indonesian Language and Literature consists of theoretical implications, pedagogical implications, and practical implications.

Abstract

This research is a qualitative descriptive study that aims (1) to determine the structure of the themes and moral values contained in the novel Putus Cinta Is Not the End of Everything. The theories that underlie this research are (1) the nature of literary works, (2) the definition of novels, (3) the intrinsic elements of the novel, (4) the structure of the theme, and (5) the notion of morality values. Data collection is done by the library method. The data in this study were processed by using qualitative analysis techniques, namely, the researchers conducted the analysis interactively and took place continuously until it was finished. This study uses an instrument that is a tool used by research in collecting data so that it is arranged systematically. There are also steps in data analysis using data triangulation analysis, namely: (1) reducing data, (2) presenting data and (3) data verification. The results of this study indicate the findings of two theme structures, namely major themes and minor themes. The major themes found are the major themes of love and problems with her two older sisters, while the minor themes are friendship, the sincerity of a friend. The novel "Putus Cinta Is Not the End of Everything" by Ida Raihan also contains twelve moral values, namely the value of struggle, the value of sacrifice, the value of injustice, the value of doubt, the value of crime, the value of caring, the value of independence, the value of honesty, the value of discipline, the value of politeness, the value of politeness. , the value of courage, the value of purity of heart.
