Istoria: Jurnal Ilmiah Pendidikan Sejarah Universitas Batanghari diterbitkan oleh Program Studi Pendidikan Sejarah Universitas Batanghari. Jurnal ini diterbitkan dua kali setahun, setiap bulan April dan September yang berisi hasil penelitian (lapangan atau studi pustaka) kajian teoretis maupun kajian kritis. Jurnal ini merupakan salah satu media publikasi bagi penelitian dengan kajian terkini dalam bidang sejarah dan pendidikan sejarah yang meliputi ranah sejarah dan pembelajaran sejarah itu sendiri. Dalam penelitian sejarah teoritis dan kritis mencakup sejarah dunia, sejarah Indonesia, dan sejarah lokal sedangkan pada bidang pendidikan sejarah mencakup strategi pembelajaran sejarah, metode pembelajaran sejarah, evaluasi pembelajaran sejarah, dan hal-hal lain yang berkaitan dengan peningkatan kualitas pendidikan sejarah.

Abstract

This purpose of this study is analyze how Kerinci society organized and resisted the Dutch Colonialism, as well as the impact of the againt on social, economic and political development in the Kerinci region. The research method used is a historical method consisting of several steps, namely heuristics, criticism, interpretation, historiography. The primary sources used in this study are interviews and archives, skunder sources used in the form of books, theses and other references. The results of this study will help to better understand the againt of the Kerinci people against Dutch colonialism, as well as its impact on the development of the Kerinci region after the colonial period. It will also provide a broader view of local resistance to colonialism in areas not much explored in Indonesian history.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the history of the formation of Sungai Rambai Village to know and describe the development and changes in the socio-cultural life of the residents of Sungai Rambai Village. The research method used historical method which consists of four steps, namely heusristic, criticism, interpretation and historiography. Based on research conducted by the author, it is known that Sungai Rambai Village is one of the villages located in Pengabuan District, West Tanjung Jabung Regency before the expansion in 2008 into Senyerang District which is 69 km from the city center of West Tanjung Jabung Regency. The residents of Sungai Rambai Village are a community group belonging to the Javanese tribe. According to Village Archive Data and information from several communities, Sungai Rambai Village already existed during the Japanese colonial period. The residents of Sungai Rambai Village in an effort to meet their needs can be grouped into several types, namely; areca nut plantations, oil palm, farming, traders, laborers, civil servants, and there are also fishermen as side jobs. However, the majority are farmers (areca nut and oil palm), be they owners or laborers.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out about the existence of gojek drivers in fulfilling the needs of life and their role in the online transportation service sector in Jambi City 2017 – 2022. The research method used is the historical method which consists of four stages, namely source collection (heuristic), criticism and source selection, interpretation, and writing (historiography). The findings show that Gojek drivers are one of the jobs that can be the livelihood of the Jambi people. Gojek services can help motorcycle taxis who can use their time as effectively as possible in carrying out their profession as ojek drivers who are not too difficult to find customers, and also make it easier for people to travel, with various traffic jams in big cities. Gojek is an Indonesian app with transportation services, food delivery, bill payment, and even health services.

Abstract

This research and development originated from problems that arose at SMA N 4 Tanjung Jabung Barat, namely tending to like to play and not paying attention to teachers so that the material delivered by teachers could not be received properly. This study aims to determine the development of snakes and ladders game media and determine the feasibility of snakes and ladders game media. The development model used is ADDIE which has five stages, namely the analysis stage, design stage, development stage, implementation stage, evaluation stage. The snakes and ladders game media developed was then assessed by media experts and material experts. Based on field trials, the scores obtained were in the first trial of "72%" with the criteria of "Good", in the second trial of "75%" with the criteria of "Good", and in the third trial of "81%" with the criteria of "Very Good". So, it can be concluded that the medium of snakes and ladders game is "feasible" to use for students.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the background of Gho A San Gunawan's life and his role in the independence and post-independence revolutions of 1945-1949. This research uses historical research methods, the method consists of four stages, namely Source Collection (Heuristics), Source Criticism, Interpretation, and Writing (Historiography). The results of this study illustrate that the warrior figure Gho A San Gunawan who is an ethnic Chinese has an important role in defending and defending the independence of the Republic of Indonesia in 1945-1949. In 1945 Gho A San Gunawan was accepted as a TKR in Jambi and was placed in the Army in the stock section in accordance with his expertise in mechanics in charge of repairing weapons, and all related to machinery. Then in 1948 it was transferred to the Air Force (AURI) which was in charge of maintaining the Catalina RI 005 aircraft. During the revolution in Jambi, Singapore had an important role for the supply of weapons and an important role for Gho A San Gunawan as a technician and driver of guerrilla ships. Gho A San Gunawan is one of Jambi Veterans who really cares about Jambi's history.

Abstract

This research and development was raised from problems that arose in Jambi City Laboratory Junior High School, namely the lack of teachers using media, lack of facilities to support the learning process, and teachers only using textbooks as tools. This research has the purpose of how to develop and feasibility of mp3-based audio media. The development model used is ADDIE which includes five stages, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and finally Evaluation. The developed media is then validated by media experts and material experts. In field trials, three stages of research were carried out, namely one to one trials getting a score of 76.84% in the "Enough" category, small group trials getting a score of 86.35% in the "Very Feasible" category, and field test trials getting a score of 83.68% in the "Very Feasible" category. Thus, it can be concluded that MP3-based Audio media is "feasible" to use for students.

Abstract

This research is a type of historical research with the theme of economic history, especially at the microeconomic level about smallholder oil palm plantations in Pulau Kerakap Village. The goal is to describe the growth and development of the smallholder oil palm plantation sector in Pulau Kerakap Village which is an important economic sector for the population, especially for economic actors involved in these economic activities. Furthermore, it also aims to explain the economic life of residents in Pulau Kerakap Village starting from those who become farmers as well as owners, laborers, and middlemen as a result of the growing oil palm plantation sector. For research methods is the historical method, which has stages of research ranging from heuristics, criticism, interpretation, and historiography aimed at achieving historical truth. This research is also complemented by the use of a theoretical approach that is multidisciplinary by applying other social science concepts such as economics. The findings in the field show that smallholder oil palm plantations in Pulau Kerakap Village are an important economic sector for the population, especially for farmers who own oil palm plantations, laborers, middlemen, and oil palm processing companies. Inhabited by residents ranging from indigenous people (Jambi Malays) to local and general transmigrants. The condition of the smallholder oil palm plantation sector shows fluctuating conditions, one of which is the fluctuation in the nominal amount of workers' wages.

Abstract

This research and development aims to produce learning media products in the form of Popup Books in learning the history of the communication and information technology revolution after Indonesia's independence period in Class XII MAN 5 Batanghari. The development model used adopts the Lee and owen model which consists of 5 stages, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation which is abbreviated as ADDIE. The research subjects of class XII students numbered 25 people. In the one to one trial stage (individual) 4 people obtained a percentage value of 70.37% which was classified in the category "Good", at the small group stage ( Medium group) amounted to 8 students obtained a percentage of 76.51% "Very Good", and at the stage of large group test or field test amounted to 25 students obtained a percentage of 85.11% which was classified in the category "Very Good". The results of this study as a whole obtained from the percentage at each stage obtained a percentage value of 77.33% which is classified as "Very Good".
