Istoria: Jurnal Ilmiah Pendidikan Sejarah Universitas Batanghari diterbitkan oleh Program Studi Pendidikan Sejarah Universitas Batanghari. Jurnal ini diterbitkan dua kali setahun, setiap bulan April dan September yang berisi hasil penelitian (lapangan atau studi pustaka) kajian teoretis maupun kajian kritis. Jurnal ini merupakan salah satu media publikasi bagi penelitian dengan kajian terkini dalam bidang sejarah dan pendidikan sejarah yang meliputi ranah sejarah dan pembelajaran sejarah itu sendiri. Dalam penelitian sejarah teoritis dan kritis mencakup sejarah dunia, sejarah Indonesia, dan sejarah lokal sedangkan pada bidang pendidikan sejarah mencakup strategi pembelajaran sejarah, metode pembelajaran sejarah, evaluasi pembelajaran sejarah, dan hal-hal lain yang berkaitan dengan peningkatan kualitas pendidikan sejarah.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian dan pengembanga ini berangkat dari permasalahan yang terjadi di SMA Negeri 2 Bayung Lencir dimana pembelajaran yang dilakukan monoton dan kurang bervariasi sehingga siswa cepat bosan. Media pembelajaran dapat menjadi alternative dalam pemecahan masalah yang terjadi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk media pembelajran yaitu media Handout dan menerapkannya pada pelajaran Sejarah kelas X di SMA Negeri 2 Bayung Lencir. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah ADDIE yang dikembangkan oleh Ick and Carey pada tahun 1996. Model ADDIE terdapat beberapa tahapan diantaranya: Analyze (Analisis), Design (Perancangan), Devolepment (Pengembangan), Implementation (Penerapan), Evaluation (Penilaian). Penelitian dilakukan di SMA Negeri 2 Bayung Lencir dengan subjek penelitian siswa kelas X IPS yang berjumlah 10 orang. Hasil penelitian pengembangan media pembelajaran Handout persentase media 83,8 yang tergolong valid. Pada penilaian tim ahli media dan ahli materi. Pada ahli media pencapaian nilai skor 80 yang tergolong valid, dan ahli materi pencapaian nilai skor 89,23 yang tergolong sangat valid. Kesimpulan dari penelitian dan pengembangan media Handout dalam pembelajaran Sejarah pada materi masuknya Islam ke Nusantara sesuai dengan langkah-langkah pengembangan media. Media tergolong sangat valid berdasarkan hasil pencapaian skor pada kualitas media dan pencapaian skor dari tim ahli.Kata Kunci: Pengembangan Media, Handout, Masuknya Islam. AbsractThis research and development departs from the problem that occur in SMA N 2 Bayung lencir where the learning is monotonous and less varied so that student get bored quickly. Learnig media can be an alternative in solving problem that occur. This study aims to produce a learning media product, namely Handout media and its application to the class X history lesson at SMA N 2 Bayung lencir. The method used in this research In ADDIE which wis developed by Ick dan Carey in 1996. The ADDIE model has several stage including : Analyze, design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation. The research was conducted at SMA N 2 Bayung lencir whit the research subject being 10 student of class X IPS. The result of the research on the development of learning media handout the propotion of media is 83.8 which is classified as valid. On the assessment of a team of media experts and material experts. On the media experts assessment score of 80 which is classified as valid, and the media experts assessment score of 89.23 which is classified as valid. The conclusion of the research and development of handout media in history learning on the materal of the entri of Islam to the archipelago is in accordace with the step’s of media development. The media is classified as very valid based on the result of the score and the quality of media and the assessment of expert team.Keyword: Development Media, Handout, The entri of Islam.

Abstract

AbstractThe struggle in expeling invaders from the archipelago (Indonesia) and the struggle in defending the independence of Republic of Indonesia which was proclaimed on August 17, 1945, appearing many prominent figures from various elements of the nation, from military and civilian, theologian, community leaders and traditional leaders with struggling in local, regional and national. Likewise in Kerinci (Kerinci Regency and Sungai Penuh city) appear warrior figure with diverse background such as Depati Parbo who had been decelerated as the Kerinci Hero who struggle in pre-independence era. There were some information recorded in history as a warrior’s figure of seizing and defending Indonesian independence on Bumi Sailae Samudik Tanah Sakti Alam Kerinci and Bumi Sahalun Suhak Salatuh Bdei, including from Custom Stakeholders. As for those who are registered as Custom Stakeholders of freedom, sucah as H. Bakri got the title of Depati Simpan Negeri from Dusun Baru-Sungai Penuh.Keywords: H. Abstract

Abstrac               The purpose of this research is to describe the types of out of school education and to know the role of out of school education in building human resources. The method in this research is library research by doing analysis to scientific journals and other literatures then do drawing conclusion. The results showed that (1) Out of school education consists of two educational frame, namely non-formal and informal education. (2) Out of school education has a basic role as an addition, supplementary and substitute for school education. As a substitute for school education, out of school education can replace formal education frame which, for some reason, do not follow formal education. As a school-based supplement, out of school education is undertaken to increase the knowledge, skills that are lacking in school education. As complement of school education, and as a complement the knowledge and skills that are lacking or not obtained in schools.Keywords: Out of school education, Human Resources

Abstract

This study which aims to improve learning is to determine student learning outcomes by applying the Picture and Picture method to history subjects in class XI at Pesantren Jauharul Falah Al-Islamy, Muaro Jambi Regency. This research was conducted in 2 (two) cycles, namely cycle I and cycle II. The results of this research have shown an increase in student learning outcomes in history subjects, especially on colonialism and imperialism in Indonesia after the implementation of learning using the Picture and Picture learning model. This is illustrated by the increase in the percentage and class average of each cycle. In the pre-cycle the average class was 56.4 with a percentage of 16% of students who completed, there was an increase although not significant in the first cycle with an average class of 62.9 with a percentage of 44% of students who completed, then in the second cycle there was an increase in learning outcomes. which is significant, namely with a class average of 86.8 with a percentage of 100% complete.

Abstract

AbstractThe problem in this study is how the development of boarding businesses in 1985-2012 and the socio-economic life of the Sungai Putri village community. The purpose of this study refers to the issues raised, the aim is to explain the development of boarding businesses around the area of Batanghari University Jambi from 1985-2012 and describe the impact of the economic life of the communities around Sungai Putri. The boarding house business is developing in several sectors such as infrastructure, education, and entrepreneurship. The economic life of the Sungai Putri village community is as diverse as traders, entrepreneurs, and other occupations. The conclusion of this research is that the boarding house business has experienced significant developments in several sectors that support the development of the community around the Sungai Putri village. It can be said that this is prosperous as seen from the economic activities in the communities around the Sungai Putri village.Keywords: Boarding house, establishment factor, development.AbstrakPermasalahan dalam penelitian ini bagaimana perkembangan usaha indekost pada Tahun 1985-2012 dan kehidupan sosial ekonomi masyarakat kelurahan Sungai Putri. Tujuan dari penelitian ini mengacu pada permasalahan yang diangkat, maka tujuannya menjelaskan perkembangan usaha indekos disekitar kawasan Universitas Batanghari Jambi dari Tahun 1985-2012 dan mendeskripsikan dampak kehidupan ekonomi masyarakat sekitar kelurahan Sungai Putri. Usaha indekost mengalami perkembangan di beberapa sektor seperti infrastruktur, pendidikan, dan wirausaha. Kehidupan ekonomi masyarakat kelurahan Sungai Putri sudah beranekaragam seperti pedagang, wiraswasta, dan pekerjaan lainnya. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu usaha indekost mengalami perkembangan yang signifikan di beberapa sektor yang menunjang perkembangan masyarakat di sekitar kelurahana Sungai Putri dapat dikatakan sejahtera hal ini dilihat dari kegiatan ekonomi yang terdapat di masyarakat sekitar kelurahan Sungai Putri.Kata Kunci : Indekost, Faktor Berdirinya, Perkembangan.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aimed to analyze: (1) history teacher’s competency in social cultural setting, (2) the form of social cultural interaction established in history learning process, (3) the effect of social cultural relation in history learning process. This research was conducted in SMAIT Al-Amri Probolinggo.The research method employed was qualitative one with classroom ethnography type. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling with criterion selection. The data collection was conducted using direct observation, ethnographic and document recording methods. The data validation was conducted using triangulation. The data analysis was conducted using an interactive analysis model encompassing data collection, data reduction, data display and conclusion drawing.The result of research concluded that (1) history teacher proffesional competency, from the utilization of student’s cultural setting in learning history, was sufficiently good despite limited scale in certain standard competency but from social competency aspect, there should be an improvement in communication skill, (2) the form of social cultural interaction in history learning constituting verbal and non-verbal communication. The main verbal communication in history learning was debriefing. The main non-verbal communication of student during learning process constituting gesture indicating enthusiasm, (3) the social relation in history learning process led to material breadth by integrating the student’s social cultural setting. The students felt getting involved in learning leading to student’s enthusiasm and social harmony and tolerance among the students. The student’s national cultural orientation was getting wider, as well, particularly in the term of language.Keywords: Social-cultural relation, History learning, SMAIT Al-Amri. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis: (1) Kompetensi guru sejarah dalam setting sosial budaya, (2) Bentuk interaksi sosial budaya yang terjalin  dalam proses pembelajaran sejarah, (3) Dampak relasi sosial budaya dalam proses pembelajaran sejarah. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMAIT Al-Amri Probolinggo.Metode penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan jenis etnografi ruang kelas.  Cuplikan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah purposive sampling dengan criterion selection. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi langsung, wawancara etnografis dan pencatatan dokumen. Validasi data dilakukan dengan triangulasi. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah model analisis interaktif yaitu pengumpulan, reduksi data, sajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan.Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa (1) Kompetensi professional guru sejarah dari segi pemanfaatan setting budaya siswa ke dalam materi pembelajaran sejarah  cukup baik meskipun dalam skala terbatas pada standar kompetensi tertentu namun dari segi kompetensi sosial perlu perbaikan (2) Bentuk relasi sosial budaya dalam pembelajaran sejarah  berupa komunikasi verbal dan non verbal. Komunikasi verbal dalam pembelajaran sejarah yang utama adalah tanya jawab. Komunikasi non verbal utama dari siswa selama proses pembelajaran yang berupa gesture yang menunjukkan keantusiasan (3) Adanya relasi sosial budaya yang dipadukan dengan kompetensi guru dalam proses pembelajaran sejarah berdampak pada keluasan materi dengan mengintegrasikan setting sosial budaya siswa. Siswa merasa terlibat dalam pembelajaran sehingga berpengaruh pada keantusiasan siswa. Tercipta pula harmoni sosial dan toleransi antar siswa. Serta orientasi budaya bangsa siswa semakin luas utamanya dalam bidang bahasa.Kata Kunci : Relasi sosial budaya, Pembelajaran sejarah, SMAIT Al-Amri.

Abstract

Abstract            The purpose of this research is to describe the growth and development of the coconut plantation sector in the Api-Api village which is an important economic sector for the society, especially for economic actors involved in economic activities. It also aims to explain the economic life of residents in the Api-Api village ranging from those who became farmers as well as owners, laborers, and toke as a result of the growing sector of the coconut plantation. The research used the history method, which has stages of research from heuristics, criticism, interpretation, and historiography that aims to achieve historical truth. The historical method is a set of systematic principles and rules for collecting historical sources effectively, critically assessing, and presenting systematically in the form of a written report            This research also use of a multidisciplinary theoretical approach by applying other social sciences concepts such as economics and sociology. The findings in the field show that the Coconut Dalam Plantation in the Api-Api village is a hereditary effort, continuously experiencing improvement and progress starting from the number and area of land, the number of farmers as well as the owners of coconut plantation, wage labor, and toke, various types of production coconut, and the widespread marketing area. Keywords: Plantation, Coconut Dalam, Progress, Api-Api Village

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the development of Tengkuluk in Jambi City in 1946 – 2017. The research method used is the historical method because it collects historical sources effectively, evaluates them critically and presents a written synthesis of the results achieved. Based on the results of the study, the tengkuluk became a separate identity for women in Jambi. According to history, the tengkuluk cloth has existed since the 7th century, which at that time was used by Malay women to attend a traditional event or during farming activities such as in the fields and fields. Not just as a head covering, in fact the tengkuluk cloth has a deeper meaning. Jambi is rich in culture which is not widely known by the public. The city of Jambi, which is located on the east coast in the central part of Sumatra Island, has a Malay culture since ancient times. One proof of the Malay cultural customs in Jambi is the legacy of the traditional head covering called tengkuluk for women. Tengkuluk is the identity of Malay women. The tradition of covering the head or tengkuluk existed before the Jambi community knew Islam. At that time, the tengkuluk was only used as an accessory or a headdress as a beauty for Jambi Malay women, which was used as a head covering at parties, or on big days. The Tengkuluk is also used as a head restraint from the burdens of typing to put luggage on the head or as a head protector from the scorching heat of the sun when Malay women go to farming or berumo at that time. As a form of culture, the Tengkuluk has undergone various changes to date such as the development of public perception. about the neck. For women who wear the hijab, using the nape of the neck is to first use the hijab to cover the hair, ears and neck. Then just put the neck on the top of the head. Changes also occur in terms of the materials used in the elements found in the tengkuluk.

Abstract

AbstractStudy of the formation and development of the kingdom of Jambi including the underdeveloped field of study, including a discussion of the process of islamizing the kingdom.This is due to the lack of sources such as local texts, tambo, chronicles, saga, genealogies and so forth. Moreover the kingdom of jambi is not too big and it will be increasingly difficult to express it. Where as, according to Azyumardi Azra in Sumatra Jambiis the first area to be visited by Muslim traders from Arabic, Indan, Chinese and European. Islam in the kingdom of Jambi also broadcast by merchants or traders from Turkey and managed to change the royal System into the sultanate system.Keywords: Islamization, Kingdom, Jambi AbstrakKajian tentang pembentukan dan perkembangan Kerajaan Jambi termasuk bidang kajian yang terbelakang, termasuk pembahasan tentang proses Islamisasi kerajaan tersebut. Hal ini disebabkan kurangnya sumber-sumber seperti naskah-naskah lokal, tambo, babad, hikayat, silsilah-silsilah dan lan sebagainya. Terlebih lagi Kerajaan Jambi tidak terlalu besar dan akan semakin sulit untuk mengungkapkannya.Padahal, menurut Azyumardi Azra di Sumatera Jambi merupakan wilayah yang pertama kali disinggahi oleh para pedagang-pedagang muslim dari Arab, India, Cina dan Eropa. Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan kebangkitan kembali aktivitas penanaman kelapa sawit di Desa Tebo jaya periode 1990-2010 serta pengaruhnya terhadap ekonomi peduduk dan kontribusinya bagi Desa Tebo Jaya. Metode penelitian yang di gunakan adalah metode sejarah meliputi tahapan heuriristik, kritik, intepretasi dan histografi. Sumber sejarah yang di gunakan berupa arsip lokal dan wawancara serta literatur tertulis. Arsip lokal antara lain arsip Desa Tebo Jaya arsip kecamatan Limbur Lubuk Mengkuang dan arsip dinas perkebunan provinsi jambi. Wawancara di lakukan dengan pihak-pihak yang memiliki hubungan dengan perkebunan kelapa sawit di Desa Tebo jaya, mulai dari pamerintahan desa, petani sekaligus pemilik kebun kelapa sawit, pemanen dan pegawai dinas perkebunan. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan ekonomi anatar alain untuk mengetahui pendapatan atau keuntungan petani. Dari penjualan buah kelapa sawit dan upah yang di terima oleh pemanen dan buruh. Selain itu ada juga pendekatan sosiologi untuk melihat hubungan antara interaksi sosial anatara sesama petani sekaligus pemilik kebun kelapa sawit petani dan pedagang perantara. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa perkebunan dan penanaman kebun kelepa sawit di Desa Tebo Jaya masih bersipat tradisional dan beskala kecil namun aktivitas ini tetap memberikan pengaruh positif bagi kehidupan penduduk terutama  bagi mereka yang terlibat di dalam nya. Pengaruh tersebut antara lain dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan petani sekaligus pemilik kebun kelapa sawit dan pemanen dan menciptakan lapangan kerja baru sehingga dapat mengurangi pengangguran di Desa Tebo Jaya.Kata Kunci: Sejarah, Perkebunan Kelapa Sawit, Desa Tebo AbstractThis study aims to describe the revival of oil palm planting activities in Tebo Jaya Village for the period 1990-2010 and its impact on the economy of the population and its contribution to Tebo Jaya Village. Local archives include the Tebo Jaya Village archive, the Limbur Lubuk Mengkuang sub-district archive and the Jambi provincial plantation service archive. Interviews were conducted with parties related to oil palm plantations in Tebo Jaya Village, ranging from village administrators, farmers as well as oil palm plantation owners, harvesters and plantation officials. The approach used is an economic approach among other things to determine the income or profit of farmers. From the sale of oil palm fruit and the wages received by harvesters and laborers. In addition, there is also a sociological approach to see the relationship between social interactions between farmers and owners of oil palm plantations, farmers and intermediary traders. The results showed that the plantation and planting of oil palm plantations in Tebo Jaya Village were still traditional and small-scale, but this activity still had a positive influence on the lives of the population, especially those involved in it.
