Several factors can affect the learning process, that are teachers, learners, means, tools and media available and environment. Although that influence the success of learning a lot but can not be denied that teacher is the main factor and decisive for the success of the learning process. Teacher or educator professional will be able ensure learning process to be good. However, some facts indicate that many teachers teach and make the learning process as simply “just obligations”, they do not realize that the teacher is a profession who demands professionalism in practice. Therefore the need to model a new approach in coaching teachers, one of them with Lesson Study, namely learning model teachers will be able to be effectively implemented in educational institutions on the condition that there is a shared commitment to strong from the teachers themselves, school principals and the Education Department is supported by involvement of education experts. Lesson Study is not one learning model teaching profession only, therefore, needs to be combined with other models.

The background of this study is the decline of learning outcomes in subjects of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in the Class 3 Primary School (SD). Researchers then apply the research methods Snowballing as a class action. The results showed that an increase in student achievement after the applied method Snowballing. This is the show with an average increase of mastery learning from prior to action until after the action. At the stage of pre-cycle average gained 71.48, at this stage of the cycle I gained an average of 83.08, and at this stage of the cycle II gained an average of 85.48. PTK is successful because it has achieved an increase of more than 90% of the value of previously successful over the KKM.

Indonesia is a pluralistic society, it is necessary that education should provide an overview and moral ideals of religion contextually. In the educational process required a review of the religious doctrines, like the doctrine of jihad. That is, jihad is no longer understood as an endorsement of Islam to violence in spreading faith. The plurality of religion and belief is no longer understood as a potential riot, but be a potential to be invited to jointly implement the teachings for the sake of humanity. All religions should claim peace and human safety. In this context, education has an important role to foster self-scratch, so not only can receive others, but also able to work with different beliefs or religion. This means that education should enable the growth of the brotherhood in unity, so as to jointly build a new world that is more meaningful for all of humanity. So that, design education should accommodate pluralist and tolerant. Attitude required teachers of religion that is tolerant and pluralist.

This articles attempts to describe religion violence. Why religions are raised violence roots? What is problem of the religion dialogue in Indonesia ? How is prospect religious dialogue ? How to construct a mutual dialogue ? This article declares that violence of religions because of sacred text, dogma and the interpretation of text. Absolutely versus relatively, and humanism versus God. Violence of religions departs from ulama, pastor, religious leader, missionaries and religious teacher. Religions ambivalence between peace and violence, because in the religion on text and context are very rigid. The holy war was justified by religious text. Among problems of religious dialogue are collective identity, minority and majority issues, Christianization and Islamization issues, and the conversion of religion. Continued dialogue with cutting crucial issues; collective identity, minority-majority, Christianization and Islamization and conversion.

Tulisan ini bertolak dari penemuan Karel Steenbrink, bahwa studi mengenai Adam di dalam kitab suci Al-Qur’an dapat menjadi titik tolak untuk menyoroti pendapat umum bahwa Islam adalah sebuah agama rekonsiliasi yang bersifat hosrisontal daripada sebuah agama keselamatan yang bersifat vertical. Menurut Steenbrink dan Kautsar Ashari Noer, di dalam teks al-Qur’an sendiri sudah terdapat tekanan bahwa Islam adalah juga sebuah agama keselamatan. Di pihak lain dengan mengacu pada penafsiran kembali Marcus Borg dan Roger Haight terhadap makna keselamatn di dalam agama Kristen, maka antitesa umum bahwa agama Kristen adalah sebuah agama keselamatan daripada agama rekonsiliasipun dapat dipertanyakan kembali. Dapat dikatakan bahwa di dalam baik agama Islam maupun agama Kristen terdapat pemahaman mengenai keselamatan dan rekonsiliasi. Penulis berpendapat bahwa dalam agama Islam dan agama Kristen, keselamatan dan rekonsiliasi merupakan cakrawala bersama, yang dapat dimanfaatkan oleh umat Islam dan umat Kristen di Indonesia untuk menyelesaikan konflik-konflik mereka dalam permulaan abad ke-21 ini.

This paper tries to answer some questions, namely, may Islam and other heaven religions conduct the violence in the name of peace and humanity ? may the Islamic fundamentalism conduct the terrorism for the sake of religion ? Through this paper, the writer explores that Islam prohibited the killing and terrorism for their’s contrary with the al-Qur’an and the Prophet Tradition. In the other hand the writer distinguishs terrorism in two kinds : first, the terrorism that lose the justice as the international terrorism, and second, the terrorism conducted for the implementating the Islamic Syari’at. Here, the writer gives the solution to go away from the terrorism.

Paper ini mencoba melihat perbedaan cara berteologi dalam Islam yang dianut oleh muslim rasionalis atau mu’tazilah dan muslim tradisionalis atau asy’ariyah. Menurut penulis, ada beberapa poin yang patut diperhatikan dalam melihat perbedaan ideology dogma yang dipegang oleh masing-masing kelompok ini. Pertama, masing-masing kelompok sama-sama menjadikan al-qur’an sebagai rujukan mereka ketika menerima atau menolak suatu dogma teologis tertentu. Kedua, kaum rasionalis menolak klaim bahwa al-Qur’an itu tidak diciptakan dan kemampuan untuk melihat Tuhan sebagaimana yang diyakini oleh kaum tradisionalis. Ketiga, munculnya perbedaan dari kaum rasionalis dan tradisionalis dalam upaya mereka untuk menerima atau menolak dogma teologis tertentu terkadang karena penyandaran pada kata yang sama dengan pemaknaan yang berbeda atau perbedaan dalam merujuk suatu ayat.

The violence phenomenon, which are conducted by some group of Islamic radicalism always luster in many countries. Some writers identified that the rational background of that actions was sociologically than the religious background of the social condition of rising of the movement. However, even though this opinion supported by many arguments, actually the violence conducted by the radical fundamentalism group caused by the texts interpretation that indicate the eclecticism toward the prophet, companions, and the people of the Muslim their selves. In the other hand, there are several texts of holly book have the absolute truth related the superiority and the characteristic of Islam as the last of heaven religions. This, has caused the coming of Islamic radicalism movement in some Muslim countries like in Egypt, Pakistan, Iran, and soon.

The discourse on religion and state relation denote the classical discussion which has no ending up to this present. Many Islamic thinkers have been discussing such issues for along time ago until today. This paper tries to discuss one of Islamic contemporary thinker, namely, Abed al-Jabiri’s thought on such theme. Actually, an Islamic state for al-Jabiri did not exist and even never happen. The changing of da’wah from the uninstituted pattern to the instituted one called Islamic state constituted the ijtihad caused two aspects: first, the Arab society condition in that time was the tribe who like to fight. Secondly, the need of power to support the survival of new independence society. According to al-Jabiri, Islamic state was not the fact but it was the Islamic moral practiced individually and institutionally. The state in Islam is constitutional system.

Paper ini bermaksud mempertanyakan kembali gagasan pemisahan antara Negara dan agama dalam Islam. Berangkat dari pemikiran Ira M. Lapidus dalam sebuah tulisannya, penulis melakukan elaborasi yang lebih mendalam tentang relasi agama dan Negara dengan menelusuri sejarah lahirnya Negara, baik di Barat maupun Islam. Sebuah kesimpulan yang kemudian dimunculkan, bahwa tidak ada sumber data yang mendukung bahwa dalam Islam, agama dan Negara mesti dipisahkan. Gagasan sekularisasi hanya ada di Barat sebagaimana yang diajarkan al Kitab. Adapun dalam Islam, ada banyak data, baik normatif maupun historis yang menunjukkan hubungan yang sangat dekat antara agama dan Negara.
