Abstract

The disasters that happen Indonesia. One of them is tsunami at Aceh, North Sumatra and Nias. When disasters happen, people confuse how to solve them. In this case, people hope to know the factois that cause eartyhquake by ultimate questions. This discourse of course includes theology or philosophical viewpoint. In this connection the question is what God's reason behind of earthquake or disasters that imply many victims. Meanwhile, Aceh denotes religious field, instead this province implements Islamic Syari'ah. According to the writer of this article that disaster or earthquake happens because of human errors.

To reconstruct the econoc life of Aceh after happening tsunami need economical development strategic with focusing on education to increase human resource quality. Besides, to conduct economical development based on justice and local wisdom of people culture. Based on just economical approach and develop productive business culture, it was expected that economical recovery can be conducted step by step. Abstract

At Aceh and North Sumatra, December 26, 2004, earthquake and tsunami happened cause many people died as victims, many houses destructed and losing wealth. Morte than 100 thousands of people died. At Nabire, Papua, February 7, 2004, at least 35 people became the victims of consecutive earthquake, those did at Padang Panjang Western Sumatra, 21 of February 2004. This article tries to describe the efforts how to overcome psychological conditions of earthquake victims and to incresase the preparation to help them. Those can be conducted based on psychological point of view.

Abstract

A member of International aid from Tiongkok Wu Min recently has finistied the task at disaster region of tsunami and returned to the mother land. The press has chance to interview Wu Min. Wu Min is still look tired, always feel tired body, can not sleep, decrease willing to eatso that his bodyweight is decrease drastically. Although Wu Min has come back to home, but still shadow in Wu Min's memory the situation of disaster at the field where tsunami happened, instead, it is difficult to lose from mind. Wu Min told that he undergoes many accidents in conducting aid activities to the victims at the field, and Wu Min sees by eyes the situation of disaster above-mentioned. Because of heart and feeling shockdown and work so hard at that region, Wu Min is look like rather depression (Radio of China broadcasting in Indonesia).

Abstract

Tulisan berikut membahas empat aspek tentang status dan hak-hak kaum wanita dalam perundang-undangan atau legislasi hukum diIndonesia. Empat aspek dimaksud adalah (1) hak dan  kebebasan wanita untuk memilih calon pasangan, (2) peran dan kedudukan wali, (3) aturan tentang batas umur minmal untuk boleh melakukan pemlkahan, dan (4)aturan pencatatan perkawinan dan aturan proses perceraian serta akibat hukumnya. Penulis artikel ini berpendirian bahwa secara umum status dan hak-hak kaum wanita lebih terjamin dalam peraturan perunbdang-undangan hukum positif dari pada konsep konvensional dalam kitab-kitab fiqh.

Abstract

"All societies have a continuing interest in the way their young people are prepared for citizenship and learn to take part in public affairs. [Since] the 1990s, this has become a matter of increased importance not only in societies striving to establish or re-estab lish democratic govemments, but also in societies with continous and long-established democratic traditions. What effective citizenship means and the role of format education in building a civic culture is important not only to govemments and policy-makers, but also to the public at large" (Torney-Purta, Schwille &Amedeo, 1999:12). 'There is an old saying that the course of civilization is a race between catastrophe and education.  In a democracy such as ours, we must make sure that education wins the race" (John F. Kennedy, 1958, daiam Print et all, 1999:9).
