Abstract

Scoliosis represent definition from disparity of backbone where happened backbone formation deviation if seen and behind existence of backbone curve up at lateral (beside) followed with rotation. Target of this research is to know attitude pattern relation sit to the happening of scoliosis at age child11-13 year in SDN Pabelan Kartasura. This research use type research of analytic observational designed by cross sectional study, that is free variable and tied to be measured concurrently. Research subject is elementary schoolboy counted 63 childs with total sampling technique. After analyzed to usechi-square tests show result, founded by 31 subjects was scoliosis, scoliosis pursuant to cause the happening of scoliosis is attitude hunch up 21 child, straightening 4 child, and oblique 6 child. Proved statistically attitude pattern relation sit with the happening of scoliosis at age child 11-13 year in SDNPabelan Kartasura use chi-square tests, p-value = 0,000 < 0,05 that mean Ha is accepted.

Abstract

As we all know, there are many aspects that affect to the academic achievement of the students, such as emotional aspect, motivational and intellectual aspect. In those previous researches, it was strong significances between motivational and emotional aspects with academic achievement of the nursing students. In this research, as a academic supervisor, I want to know about the relationship between intellectual aspect with the academic achievement of my nursing students. This research took place in the Nursing Faculty of Muhammadiyah University of Malang from September 2010 until February2011. The population were 180 nursing students who intakes on 2009. It was conducted on 65 nursing students whom the academic supervisor is me. This study used purposive sampling technique. The independent variable was intellectual aspects, while the dependent variable was academic achievement. The instruments used were the psycho test results as a indicator of the intellectual aspects and the academic results of third semester as a indicator of academic achievement. To knowthe correlation between intellectual aspects and academic achievement, Spearman correlation was used since the variable were ordinal scale. In conclusion, there was no significance correlation between intellectual aspects with the academic achievement because p = 0,075 (p > alfa). However, there was tendency that the lower intellectual aspects that they own, the lower academic achievement that they would get.

Abstract

Colo-rectal cancer represent one of the most third malignancy in the world and second caused of death in US. In Indonesia amount of colo-rectal cancer was sequence to 10 (2.75%) after others cancer (cervix, breast, lymph, skin, nasofaring, ovarium, soft tissue, and thyroid). Key success in treatment of this cancer was that they found in early stage and followed curative therapy. Unfortunately in Indonesia they came after advanced stage and they had low survival. Colo-rectal cancer need multimodalities and in Indonesia not yet found uniformity in approach of therapy. The aim of research is to know the epidemiology, clinical symptom, diagnosis, therapy, prognosis. Descriptive study with retrospective design. Total sampling was all outpatient in digestive department of Hasan Sadikin Hospital of Bandung with colo-rectal cancer from January 2005 up to December 2008. 163 eligible respondens who had age below 40 yo 19 (11,7%) and above 55 yo 61 (37,4%). Female 89 (54,6%). Rectum was the most location that is 115 (70.6%). A lot of stadium was Dukes B2 that is 33 (20,2%). The most clinical manifestation was defecate blood that is 76 (46,6%). Adenocarcinoma well differentiated was the most common type of histology that is 93 (57,1%). Miles Procedure was 21 (12.9%) and hemicolectomy and colostomy were 19 (11,7%). The prognosis was healing 90 (55,2%), not yet healed 24 (14,7%), not control 38 (23,3%), and who control in the other place 2 (1,2%). Conclusion: mostly of colo-rectal cancer was found in fifth decade. A lot of cancer location was rectum and adenocarcinoma as a type of histology. Dukes B2 and defecate blood had most proportion, blood excision biopsy, and followed by radical mastectomy were the most therapy procedure. Miles procedure was the most common therapy in rectal cancer.

Abstract

The success of exclusive breastfeeding supplies influenced by internal and external factors. Father&rsquo;s knowledge level about exclusive breastfeeding and father&rsquo;s support for breastfeeding mother are include in external factor. This research intends to prove that there is a difference of husband&rsquo;s knowledge about exclusive breastfeeding and their support among women who feed their babies with exclusive breastfeeding and those who do not. This research is a crossectional study with population of this research is married couples who have baby ages 6-7 months. The number of sample in this research is 38 respondents chosen with purposive sampling technique. Research data is collected by questionnaire with close ended question type, and then analized with mann whitney test. The result of this research showed that 81% respondents have good knowledge level about exclusive breastfeeding and 45% respondents are adequatly support mother to breastfeed. Result of knowledge level produces a significance by p = 0,037 (p < 0,05), whereas for father&rsquo;s support produces a significance by p = 0,001 (p < 0,05). From both of sinificance value, it may be concluded that Ho is rejected. So there is a difference of husband&rsquo;s knowledge about exclusive breastfeeding and their support among women who feed their babies with exclusive breastfeeding and those who do not. Suggestion from this research is to performed collaboration to design programs that can raise education about importance of exclusive breasfeeding to pregnant mother dan her family, particularly her husband. And for the next research to analized the other factors that related to exclusive breastfeeding supplies.

Abstract

Early ambulation is policy to guide the patients out of their bed and guide to walk as son as possible. Early ambulation able to avoid blood flow obstruction. The blood flow obstruction able to cause interior thrombosis vena and able to cause infection. Early ambulation is external factor beside injury treatment. While the internal factor is eat pattern or consumption pattern. Also influence the recovery sped of perineum injury. The research aimed at knowing the early mobilization 2-4 hours and 6-8 hours with recovery speed of perineum injury of post partum mother in the work areas of Singosari local clinic of Malang Regency. The research method was comparative design with cohort approach. Samples were selected by purposive sampling of 16 respondents of post partum mother with perineum injury of grade 2 and independent variable that were measured was early ambulation and dependent variable was recovery speed of perineum injury. Data analysis by fisher. The results showed that significant value of 1,000 that higher than alfa = 0,05. From data analysis it can be concluded that it means no differences between early mobilization 2-4 hours with 6-8 hours.

Abstract

This research was conducted to analyze the way how to find out a diarrheal treatment in Ponorogo regency and to estimate the economical cost of the irrational diareal treatment. This was an observational research that used cross sectional design. The number of respondent of the research was 100 children with diarrheal disease. To analyze the different between diarrheal cost treatment, the resesearcher used a statistical test of independent t-test with level of significance p < 0,05. The finding of diarrheal treatment behaviour revealed that most of it was catagorized irrational (60%) which effected the higher cost of treatment.

Abstract

Psychological health problems would arise if the elderly can not adapt properly to the changes following aging process, which is can be performed as depression. The adaptation ability of the elderly is affected by their personality type. The personality type would determine the elderly&rsquo;s vulnerability to the depression. This study aimed to investigate the relationship of personality type and depression in elderly. The design was observational analytic study with cross sectional approach design. Subjects were 74 elderly, taken by total sampling technique. The result of prevalence ratio (PR) calculation showed that: 1) constructive personality type was not the risk factor of depression (PR = 0,17); 2) independent personality type was the risk factor of depression (PR = 5,13); 3) self-hate personality type was the risk factor of depression (PR = 6,25). Based on the result it is suggested to the aging institution to encourage the elderly&rsquo;s participation in every activities programmed and to improve it&rsquo;s variation so that it can provided the eldery wider chance of social interaction, supported them to stay active and productive, and improved their self confident.
