Abstract

Agencia (Biological Control Agents) are currently widely used to control pests and diseases or plant-disturbing organisms. One of the biological agents that has many benefits for controlling several types of diseases in both food crops and horticulture is Paenibacillus polymyxa. These bacteria are beneficial in nitrogen fixation, promotion of plant growth, solubilization of soil phosphorus, and production of exopolysaccharides, hydrolytic enzymes, antibiotics, and cytokinins. Paenibacillus polymyxa also produces polymyxin antibiotics and it is known that these bacteria contain the hormone gibberellins. Casein hydrolyzate is one of the growth media that can be used for the growth of microorganisms. The media is a complex mixture of 18 amino acids, vitamins, calcium, phosphate, and several microelements which results in their high price. Casein hydrolyzate is known to be more effective for plant tissue culture. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to determine whether the amino acid content in casein hydrolyzate could affect the growth of bacteria Paenibacillus polymyxa. The simple medium used in this study was soybean boiled water. Soybean as an alternative medium for protein sources to substitute beef extract, beef extract, and bacto peptone for the growth of bacteria Paenibacillus polymyxa. Based on TPC (Total Plate Count) calculations with graded dilution in Paenibacillus polymyxa, it was found that there was no difference in the number of bacteria to the addition of casein. This shows that bacteria can grow optimally even though casein hydrolyzate is not given during the growth process.

Abstract

One of the complaints during menstruation is dysmenorrhea. As many as 90% of adolescent girls worldwide experience menstrual problems and more than 50% of menstruating women experience primary dysmenorrhea. Another way of healing to reduce the symptoms of dysmenorrhea in addition to pharmacological therapy is by giving acupressure and aromatherapy. This research method is Quasi Experimental Design with Nonequivalent Control Group Design, 60 sample. The treatment group was given acupressure therapy using lemon essential oil aromatherapy at points LI 11, LI 4, dan ST 36 on day 1-2 menstruation, the control group was given acupressure therapy without using aromatherapy. Then do the post test. The results of statistical analysis using Mann Whitney revealed that the p value: 0.000 is smaller than ( 0.05), it can be concluded that there is an effect of acupressure using aromatherapy on dysmenorrhea. Acupressure using aromatherapy is effective to treat dysmenorrhea in adolescents. The results of this study are expected to be one of the methods that can be used in the practice of midwifery services. It is hoped that further researchers will carry out other non-pharmacological treatments to overcome dysmenorrhea

Abstract

The baby’s condition is a condition that is vulnerable to environmental changes, especially weather changes. Knowledge of a mother in maintaining the health of baby also should be considered, especially in terms of nutritional intake. A healthy baby's condition affects the baby's growth and development. The development of a decision support system should be preceded by collecting and analyzing the data according to need. In this study, the variables were baby feeding items, namely Body Temperature (37.70c), Fuss (2.4), Restless (4.5), frequent bowel movements (3.7), watery bowel movements  (5.6), Bloating (3.5), Nausea (3.7), vomiting (3.2) , Stomachache (2.7) and Itchy Skin (2.8). The results of the calculations will result in defoliation as follows: Measles (1:48), septic (1:48), diarrhea (1:48), ISPA (7:36), enteritis (0.77), Miliary (1:48), OMP (1:48) and varicella (1:48). The range of fuzzy values ranges from 0 to 1, indicating the baby has enteritis or stomach problems. The calculation of defuzification obtained result of 8.1, so the condition of the baby is very sick and should be handled immediately by bringing to the medical personnel.

Abstract

More than 80% of neonatal deaths that occur in newborns are caused by Low Birth Weight (LBW). This increases the risk of several health problems, such as susceptibility to infections, chronic non-communicable developmental diseases, and growth and intellectual disability that may occur during infancy, childhood, and the later stages of life. Therefore it is necessary to reduce the prevalence of LBW to achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The purpose of this study was to determine the determinants of LBW through a systematic review. The method used in the systematic review study was searching through the Pubmed, ProQuest, and Science Direct databases with the year of publication from January 2012 to January 2022. The results of almost all articles were obtained, which said that the mother’s nutritional status, maternal age, anemia, hypertension of pregnancy, parity, ANC, and smoking affect LBW. Two factors greatly influence the seventh factor: the ANC visit factor and the mother's nutritional status. It is essential to regularly check for pregnancy as early as possible so it can be detected early. Health workers can also monitor the growth and development of the fetus, as well as the importance of fulfilling balanced nutrition during pregnancy.
