Abstract

Background: Hypothermia contributes 6.3% to neonatal mortality. Interventions to keep newborns warm can reduce neonatal mortality by 18-42%. Early Breastfeeding Initiation (EBI) is a simple intervention that reduces the risk of neonatal death. Objective: The aim of this study  to determine the difference of axillary temperature of newborn between improper EBI group and proper EBI group for 24 hours. Methods: This prospective cohort study was conducted at Aisyiyah Muntilan Hospital. Sixty-two healthy newborns from healthy mothers born in November 2016 who meet the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Subjects were grouped in improper EBI groups (n=32) and proper EBI groups (n=32). Axila temperature measurements were performed at 1st minute, 30th minute, 60th minute, 6th hour, 12th hour, 24th hour. Results: The result of the hypotermic occurrence is more happened on improper EBI than proper EBI. EBI is able to prevent hypothermia during the first 24 hours of newborn life Conclussions: Infants with proper EBI have a lower risk of hypothermia.

Abstract

Background: The higher quality of hospital services will cause customers to have a high level of satisfaction and behavior. The purpose of the study was to analyze the quality of hospital inpatient services. Method: The survey research method used cross-sectional design. The sample of this study was 172 third class inpatients in PKU Muhammadiyah Gamping Hospital determined by consecutive sampling. Results: The results of study showed that patients' perceptions about the quality of inpatient services were mostly good on all dimensions (58%), most patients feel satisfied (63%). Conclusion: Education is significantly related to patients' perceptions of the quality of the hospital inpatient services. The experience of patients being treated in hospital is significantly related to inpatient satisfaction. Patients' perceptions of the quality of hospital inpatient services are significantly related to patient satisfaction. The quality dimension that needs to be improved is empathy, while the best is reliability.

Abstract

Background: Labor is a transformational process for women, where women have different expectations in the labor process. Identifying the hopes, desires, needs, and fears of the women for the labor process will make the birth attendant provide services and positive labor experience for the women. The Expectations during labor process has an important role in determining the response of the women to the experience of labor. Women want a positive labor experience that matches or even exceeds their expectations and beliefs. Midwives care for women have affects both physically and psychologically in the short and long term. Objective: This qualitative research aims to find out the expectation of mothers in the care of mothers by midwives during the labor process. Methods: in-depth interviews with 4 postpartum mothers’s regarding their expectations of midwives care during labor. Result and Conclution: There were 3 themes of mother's expectation in labor process : the comfort of labor, the safety of labor and support during labor.

Abstract

Secara nasional akses dan kualitas terhadap pelayanan kesehatan ibu semakin membaik, hal ini terlihat dari meningkatnya cakupan pelayanan kesehatan ibu pada hasil Riskesdas 2010 dan 2013. Cakupan persalinan oleh tenaga kesehatan di Kabupaten Sleman Yogyakarta tahun 2015 sebesar 99.99%. Perempuan dalam persalinan memiliki kebutuhan yang mendalam akan empati, dukungan dan pertolongan. Dukungan dalam persalinan meliputi empat hal yaitu dukungan emosional, dukungan informasi, dukungan fisik, dan advokasi. Dukungan terus menerus memiliki dampak yang lebih baik pada proses persalinan. Anggota PKK Desa Triharjo Sleman belum pernah mendapatkan informasi mengenai pentingnya dukungan terhadap ibu selama proses persalinan. Upaya peningkatan pengetahuan dilakukan melalui pemberian penyuluhan sebanyak 2 kali serta pendampingan salah satu anggota PKK pada saat proses persalinan. Terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan mengenai dukungan terhadap ibu selama proses persalinan. Rata-rata pengetahuan sebelum kegiatan 7.36 dan setelah kegiatan 8.65.

Abstract

KKondisi kesehatan dan tumbuh kembang masa remaja seringkali berhadapan dengan situasi dilematik yang berdampak pada kurangnya stabilitas emosi dan kejiwaan, Peran orang tua pada masa remaja dibutuhkan sebagai pendamping dan konselor Pembentukan Kader Kesehatan reproduksi remaja dusun Karanggayam RW3 Mungkid Magelang yang bertujuan untuk melibatkan peran serta aktif remaja dan orang tua. Pelaksanaan pelatihan diikuti oleh 5 remaja dan 15 orang tua, total peserta berjumlah 20 orang. Solusi yang ditawarkan berdasarkan kesepakatan dengan mitra adalah pembentukan Kader Kesehatan Reproduksi Remaja. Terbentuknya Kader Kesehatan reproduksi remaja dan disambut baik oleh peserta yang telah ditunjuk dan sanggup menjadi kader kesehatan reproduksi dilingkungan sekitar wilayah tempat tinggalnya. Hasil selama 4 jam pelatihan dengan 2 materi kesehatan reproduksi dan gizi remaja didapatkan pada pelaksanaan penyuluhan bahwa seluruh peserta aktif bertanya dan berdiskusi seputar pengalaman dan masalah remaja di lingkungannya. Peserta menjadi tahu dan meningkat pengetahuannya dengan perbandingan tingkat pengetahuan hasil pretest sebesar 70% Post Test pasca penyuluhan menjadi 94%.

Abstract

HIV and AIDS case have increased while the knowledge of adolescents still low, this is a problem in handling cases of HIV and AIDS. The purpose of this research is to find out an overview of internet usage to search an information about HIV and AIDS. The research method uses a qualitative approach, a type of descriptive analytic research, a cross sectional approach. The subjects of this research were adolescents who accessed information about HIV and AIDS using the internet for at least the last 6 months and were willing to become respondents. Sampling techniques using purposive sampling. The results show that knowledge about HIV and AIDS is still lacking, especially in the signs and symptoms and transmission of HIV and AIDS, there is still a stigma against people with HIV and AIDS. All informants said that using the internet on their own initiative, most of the informants said that using the internet was approximately 2-5 hours a day, on average using the internet more than 2 years ago. Most respondents said that they had sought information about HIV and AIDS even if they were not intense only if they needed it. Suggestions for health cadres are expected to be able to propose the formation of Adolescent Family Development (BKR) or the Adolescent Reproductive Health Counseling Center (PIK-KRR) in collaboration with the District and BKKN District.
