Abstract

This research study aims to discover the root cause of what could influence the number of bottle breakage in the Aqua Langkat Plant using gathered information from 20 people through purposive sampling with the characteristics of users correlating with the natural processes of bottle breakage and by direct observations through activities like Gemba Walk. The disclosure is done with descriptive research to explain the causal effects observed within the triggers listed down undergoing Kepner-Tregoe problem-solving approaches. The analysis using Situation Appraisal showed three distinctions from Langkat plant to Solok and Tanggamus plant, which affected the number of workforces, waiting time, and inspection method. Problem Analysis identified 14 abnormalities, with ten highly prioritized items and four medium prioritized items located chiefly in the loading area and warehouse. Through SCAMPER Technique, substituting the verification method and rearranging the water reuse area become the two most viable options to be implemented. With the Alternative Solutions Rating and Adverse Consequences, replacing the verification method becomes the most preferred option with the minimum risk. Preventive and contingent actions are formulated through Potential Problem Analysis to address the four undesirable situations.

Descriptive statistics and simple linear regression were used to analyze the data, while F test and Coefficient of Determination (R2) were applied in IBM SPSS 26 to test the hypotheses. This study finds that working capital funding with a conservative approach has a negative and significant effect on profitability. Furthermore, companies that increase their financing on long-term financing source experienced a decline in their profitability.

Abstract

Based on history the JKSE level will reverse direction if it experiences a deep decline that occurs in global or national conditions, in 2020 the JKSE will experience a deep decline due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This makes a potential investment in the healthcare sector, based on price movements through IDXHEALTH, the price of this sector continues to increase because the industry is in high demand. Thus, this study aims to find the fair value of shares in the healthcare sector to invest in by using a comparison of two valuation methods, namely relative valuation and discounted cash flow. The sampling technique was non-probability sampling, namely purposive sampling on the population of the pharmaceutical and health research sectors on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The data analysis method used is descriptive statistical analysis, relative valuation, and discounted cash flow. The results of this study indicate that both methods can be used. However, discounted cash flows are more realistic based on a safer margin of safety in risk comparisons and result in undervalued conclusions so that buying decisions for investors and companies can be a reference to improve company performance.
