Abstract

Food security is a crucial issue in economics, particularly for ASEAN countries that heavily rely on rice commodities. Climate change impacts rice production, leading to production declines and price spikes, threatening economic stability and social welfare. ASEAN has committed to strategic cooperation to protect rice supplies and prevent food crises, while increasing production and stabilizing supply through collaborative initiatives. This study employs qualitative methods and descriptive analysis in literature review to explore the implementation of ASEAN regional cooperation on rice commodities. Secondary data is utilized to understand the impact of rice commodities on food security in the ASEAN region. Through a descriptive analytical approach, this research aims to provide an accurate picture of the relationship between regional cooperation and rice commodity management in ASEAN. The results indicate that ASEAN rice market integration is vital to reduce price risks for farmers and improve food security. The establishment of a rice futures market can help manage risks and ensure stable prices, which are crucial for maintaining economic stability. Regional cooperation and harmonization of rice standards are necessary, along with improved infrastructure and financial support for farmers to sustain the agricultural sector and the economic well-being of the ASEAN region.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the internal factors of banks that influence the distribution of MSME financing at Sharia Commercial Banks. The internal factors in question are seen in terms of Bank Assets, Profitability, and Liquidity. This point of view is measured by the independent variables, namely Third-Party Funds, Return on Assets, and Financing to Deposit Ratio. This research uses time series data sourced from the Otoritas Jasa Keuangan for the period January 2021 - December 2023. Multiple regression models are used for research that employs more than one independent variable. The parameters of multiple linear regression models were estimated using the ordinary least square (OLS) method. This research analyzed publication data from the Otoritas Jasa Keuangan, covering 13 Sharia Commercial Banks, and data from various relevant journals using Eviews 10. The results of the research and hypothesis testing conducted showed that: First, partially, the Third-Party Funds and Financing to Deposit Ratio variables have a significant positive effect on MSME Financing, while the Return on Assets variable has a nonsignificant negative effect on MSME Financing for Sharia Commercial Banks. Second, simultaneously, Third Party Funds, Return on Assets, and Financing to Deposit Ratio have a significant positive effect on MSME Financing at Sharia Commercial Banks. With these results, it is hoped that this research can contribute to policy or decision making for Sharia Commercial Banks to increase financing to the MSME sector, both working capital financing and investment financing for the MSME sector in Indonesia.

Abstract

In addition to analyzing the moderating effect of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Disclosure, the goal of this study is to investigate the link between Profitability, Capital Structure, and Firm Value. The study's emphasis is on coal subsector firms that were listed between 2018 and 2022 on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The study falls within the realm of explanatory research. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling. The total population in this study was 31 companies. The total sample was 11 companies that met the research criteria. The analysis technique used in this research is Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) The findings reveal that Profitability significantly impacts Fim Value, whereas Capital Structure does not exhibit a significant effect. Furthermore, the impact of both capital structure and profitability on firm value is considerably mitigated by corporate social responsibility (CSR), particularly when using Debt to Assets Ratio (DAR) indicators. Furthermore, it is evident that taking into account both profitability and capital structure at the same time has a big impact on firm value, further enhanced when moderated by CSR.

This research conducted bibliometric methods using VOS viewer. The results indicated that the year of research publication, from 2010 to 2022, shows the growth in the number of research publications. The highest number of articles published in 2020 with total publication of 38 articles. This number is quite higher compared to the previous five years. In early 2010, research on green finance and green sukuk as environmental responsibility was less fascinating for researchers to review since there were only 4 research articles published and indexed by Scopus.
