Abstract

This study aims to analyze 1) negative correlation between self-concept and academic procrastination, 2) negative correlation between peer social support and academic procrastination, 3) simultaneous negative correlation between self-concept and peer support and academic procrastination. This study uses a quantitative approach. The subjects of this study were 112 students with the same characteristics. The sampling technique used is probability sampling. Data collection was carried out using 3 scales namely academic procrastination scale, self concept scale and peer social support scale. The results showed that: 1) There was a significant negative correlation between self-concept and academic procrastination obtained p value = 0.003, 2) There was no significant negative correlation between social support of peers with academic procrastination obtained p value = 0.481, 3) There was a correlation significant negative simultaneously between self-concept and peer social support with academic procrastination obtained F = 8,535 p = 0,000 with R square = 0,135. Effective contribution of self-concept variables and peer social support with academic procrastination of 13.5%. Students are expected to always learn to think positively in interpreting their lives, being open in expressing their feelings, and interacting with their peers.

Abstract

Research on the effectiveness of assertive training to improve communication and early marriage, aims to test the effectiveness of assertive training to improve communication at early marriages and test the effectiveness of assertive training to improve harmony in early marriages, as well as examine differences in improved communication and harmony in early marriages after assertive training . The hypotheses in this study are (1) effective assertive training to improve communication at early marriage (2) assertive training to improve harmony at early marriage. Sampling using purposive sampling, research subjects totaling 10 subjects. The results show that there are significant differences so that it can be concluded that there are (1) effective assertive training to improve communication at early marriage (2) effective assertive training to improve harmony in early marriage.

Abstract

Every company will use personality tests as a way to measure and evaluate potential employees. It is understood that there are several personality types that exist in each employee having a good type, trait, trait that will have an impact on the progress and excellence of an organization, and they ensure they make good choices. Therefore the purpose of this study is to find out the personality types that exist in the employees of Bina Darma University Palembang. This study uses 57 Eysenck Personality Inventory measuring instruments. This study uses quantitative methods. The sample used in this study were 320 employees of the University of Palembang Bina Darma. From the results of this study it was found that 70 employees had stable extroverted personality types in work, 64 employees had an introvert stable personality type, 56 employees had unstable introverted personality types, 40 employees had unstable extroverted personality types at work.

Abstract

This research aimed to describe the discipline pattern that the parents had on their children. This research was held in slum area of Penjaringan in DKI Jakarta. Total of 154 people became the participant in this research. This was a descriptive study that wish to explore the discipline pattern that parents implemented to their children. Along with that we also explored about communication pattern and relation in family. We used questioners for information gathering and implemented observation, interview and small group discussion. To analyze the data, we used describtive statistical analysis technique and qualitative analysis. Most of the participant cared about their children. Nevertheless they implemented harsh communication style to their children.The parcitipant had a hope to be an ideal parent but did not have any idea what to do. Further research needed to be done and actions had to be implemented in order to create a healthy and fully functioning family in the slum area of Penjaringan.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to learn how to use gadgets for students in the industrial era 4.0. The research method used is qualitative using indigenous psychology. The research subjects were students in the Yogyakarta Special Region who examined 70 female students. The results in this study were female students who used the highest category of communication by 25%, followed by 17% knowledge, 17% practical, 15% entertainment, 14% information, 5% archives, 4% business and 3% sharing.

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the relationship between job demand and workplace well-being in Generation Z employees with a total of 120 employees aged 21-24 years who were working in an agency or company in Jakarta, using quantitative research methods with quota sampling techniques and techniques Analysis of the data used is the product moment correlation analysis. The measurement of workplace well-being variables using the workplace well-being index (Page, 2005) and job demand measurement is constructed from aspects of the job demand owned (Bakker, 2007). The results of this study indicate that there is a significant negative relationship between the variable job demand and workplace well-being with the results of the correlation coefficient r = -0.403 p <0.05.
