Abstract

This research started from the fact that many fifth grade students of SD 101878 Kanan I, Tanjung Morawa, had difficulty understanding fractions, especially in learning to recognize fractions. This is because the teacher does not provide fractional learning realistically in accordance with the student's concrete situation. One solution to overcome this problem is to use the RME approach. RME is one approach to learning mathematics that is oriented to everyday experiences. This research is a classroom action research conducted in two cycles. classroom action research that forms a cycle, namely: (1) planning, (2) implementation, (3) observation, and (4) reflection. Collecting data in this study using observation, documentation and test techniques.

Abstract

In essence, biology education is built on the basis of scientific products, scientific processes, and scientific attitudes. The implementation of practicum activities requires facilities and infrastructure as well as subject matter related to practicum activities. The method used in the implementation of the research is descriptive research. Descriptive research is research conducted to determine the value of independent variables, either one or more variables without making comparisons or connecting one variable to another. This study is a research that seeks to answer the question. The location of the research was carried out at the Biology Education Laboratory, STKIP Asy-Syafi'iyah International Medan Jl. Farmer's Work. The subjects of this study were students of the biology education study program at STKIP Asy-Syafi'iyah Internasional Medan in fifth semester of the Academic Year 2021/2022. The laboratory owned by the STKIP Asy-Syafi'iyah International Medan biology education study program consists of only one room. All practical activities are carried out in this room. Biological laboratories recorded until 2016 had approximately 35 types of laboratory equipment consisting of a set of glassware, teaching aids, preparations, electronic devices, tools made of wood or plastic as well as digital and conventional tools. The design of the laboratory is still very simple, the space is only filled with 6 work desks, 20 work chairs that are not up to standard in the laboratory, 2 storage cabinets for tools and materials, a sink and cleaning equipment. The laboratory of STKIP Asy-Syafi'iyah International Medan is led by a head of the laboratory.

Abstract

The problem of this research is the Influence of Problem-Based Learning Models on the Ability to Write Dramatic Texts for Class VII Students of SMP Negeri 3 Pagaran. This study aims to determine the effect of problem-based learning models on the ability to write drama texts for seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 3 Pagaran. In carrying out the research, the research sample for class VII-4 was determined, which amounted to 36 people. The method used in this study is the experimental method of one group pre-test and post-test design pre-test. After the normality test and homogeneity test were carried out, it was known that the L count was 0.13 using = 0.05 and N = 36, then the critical value through the Liliefors test obtained L label 0.1456. Thus, L count < L table is 0.13 < 0.1456. This shows that the data before using the problem-based learning model above is normally distributed. From the results of the homogeneity test , it is obtained that F count = 1.06 with dk as the numerator of 36, and from the F distribution table and from the F distribution table for = 0.05, the F table value is 1.78. So F count < F table , ie 1.06 < 1.78 and it can be concluded that the research sample comes from a homogeneous population.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of the fifth grade Indonesian students of SD Nurul Falah. This is 40% of students with perfect criteria, as you can see from the daily test results of students with 60% incomplete criteria. These results reveal that the fifth grade students of SD Nurul Falah still have low learning success, especially in Indonesian subjects. Educators play a key role in determining student learning outcomes. Observations show that due to the current learning of the WhatsApp application, some students have poor learning outcomes, do not have mobile phones, some are lagging behind in learning, and others do not understand much. I don't understand the dated material sent by the educator via WhatsApp. This research is a qualitative field research that aims to explain the application of online learning methods in Indonesian class V subjects at Nurul Falah Elementary School in the 2021 academic year. The learning method here uses the whatsapp grub application, the subject of this research is class V students, totaling 20 students. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. the online learning method for Indonesian subjects in class V is successful. This is evidenced by educators who motivate their students and their parents as their study partners. Exit activity in WhatsApp group. B. Publish the researched material and provide a description of the assignment assignment material collected.

Abstract

The achievement of educational goals based on Law no. 20 of 2003 requires teachers to be able to choose appropriate learning methods, strategies, models and media for students so that learning becomes active and effective and can increase learning motivation. Inquiry and expository learning strategies have different foundations, especially in learning Mathematics. The research will be carried out in early August for the 2022/2023 academic year for seventh grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Prapat . The research sample is the students of class VIII-1 being the experimental class and VIII-5 being the control class. Research instruments in the form of tests and non-tests. The results showed that 1) there are differences in learning outcomes of mathematics in students who are taught with inquiry learning strategies and expository learning strategies. This is evidence that learning strategies do have an influence on learning outcomes in Mathematics. 2) There are differences in mathematics learning outcomes for students who have high and low learning motivation. This is evidence that learning motivation has an influence in learning Mathematics. 3) There is an interaction between learning strategies and learning motivation on mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to determine the growth of several oil palm to the application of cocopeat as a growing medium. This research was carried out at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Islamic University of North Sumatra, Medan, which is located on Jalan . Karya Wisata, Johor Building, Medan Johor District, Madya City, North Sumatra Province with an altitude of ± 25 m above sea level, air humidity (RH) 68% and flat topography. The research was carried out from January-March 2016. This research used a factorial randomized block design (RBD) with two factors, namely: Cocopeat as a planting media mixture consists of 4 levels: C0 = Topsoil (Control) , C1 = Topsoil: cocopeat not soaked (2: 1) , C2 = Topsoil: cocopeat soaked in a bucket (2: 1) , C3 = Topsoil: cocopeat soaked in running water (2: 1) . The use of several varieties of oil palm consists of 3 levels: V1 = Simalungun SP540 DXP , V2 = Yangambi DXP PPKS718 , V3 = Langkat DXP Langkat. The research results showed that the growth of several oil palm varieties had no significant effect on all treatment parameters. The use of cocopeat had a significant effect on the number of leaves, but had no significant effect on plant height, leaf area , leaf chlorophyll, base weight and dry weight. Good growth was seen when cocopeat was soaked in C3 running water. The interaction of cocopeat with several oil palm varieties had a significant effect on the number of leaves of oil palm seedlings, whereas it had no significant effect on the other treatments.
