This study examines legal protection efforts for children in media reporting through the implementation of Child-Friendly Reporting Guidelines (PPRA). The mass media has a strategic role in conveying information to the public but is also responsible for protecting children's rights, privacy, and dignity. Children who are the subjects of the news, either as victims or witnesses, often face the risk of exploitation and privacy violations, especially in sensational reporting. This article aims to encourage the press community to produce news that has a positive nuance and is oriented towards protecting the identity and rights of children in order to minimize the negative impact of reporting. The study uses normative legal methods to analyze relevant journalistic regulations and codes of ethics. The results of the analysis show that implementing PPRA is an important legal and ethical instrument to maintain a balance between press freedom and child protection while encouraging more responsible journalistic practices.

Law grows from community traditions which develop into customary law, providing the basis for justice and law enforcement in society. The aim of the law is to create peaceful and fair interactions, and to achieve this it must be respected and obeyed, which requires public awareness and involvement in law enforcement. Community legal awareness means understanding, obeying and complying with the law. In North Sumatra, the Ministry of Law and Human Rights plays an important role in fostering legal awareness through the "North Sumatra Thinking Concept: Awareness of Law and Human Rights." This concept begins with the formation of a Legally Aware Family (Kadarkum), which aims to increase the community's understanding and compliance with legal norms. Kadarkum is also supported by the Legal Awareness Village (DHS) initiative, which helps foster a legally aware society.

In a democratic system, regional head elections Pilkada are one of the important pillars to elect leaders and representatives of the people. However, inaccurate voter data in the integrity of elections often causes problems in the implementation of elections including double data. Double data not only undermines the principle of fairness but also has the potential to reduce public trust in democracy. Therefore, election monitoring is essential to maintain the fairness and openness of the voting process. People's constitutional rights are affected by this issue, as they need assistance to report changes in voter data or match unregistered data. Almost all communities in Medan have conducted matching and research coklit properly, according to the election monitoring results. However, the issue of double data is still a problem that must be monitored again by Bawaslu. The author collects information about the 2024 Pilkada from the Election Supervisory Board of Medan City. That there are still many double data that occur in the community. The purpose of this research is to find out how well the coklit works to avoid double data and how it affects voting and fairness. This research shows that most citizens of Medan City have followed the procedures when conducting coklit, thus reducing the possibility of double data. Transparency, public trust, and community engagement in the elections also increased as a result. In addition, this monitoring activity also provides suggestions for improving the double data prevention system, including increasing cooperation between election organizers and independent monitors, expanding coklit socialization to the community, and using artificial intelligence-based technology for automatic detection. Such measures are essential to ensure integrity, fairness and transparency in elections.

Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) is a form of ownership of the results of individual thoughts and creativity that must be legally protected. Although various laws exist to protect IPR, such as the Law on Copyright, Patents, and Trademarks, adequate protection can only be realized if IPR is registered. The Ministry of Law and Human Rights (KemenKumHam) plays an important role in protecting IPR through the Directorate General of Intellectual Property Rights (DJKI) and the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights in each province. This study uses a normative juridical approach to examine the role of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights in protecting IPR, including guidance to the community, receipt of registration applications, implementation of law enforcement, communal intellectual property inventory, and socialization to increase public understanding of IPR. The study results show that the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights has a strategic function in increasing public awareness and understanding and providing the necessary legal protection for IPR owners in Indonesia. More intensive efforts in socialization and education to the public, especially for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), are urgently needed to encourage IPR registration and prevent intellectual property violations.

Harmonizing regional regulations is important to ensure that local regulations do not conflict with national policies and regulations. The focus of this research is the role of the North Sumatra Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights in harmonizing Gunung Sitoli City Regional Regulation Number 12 of 2012 concerning the Regional Spatial Plan (RTRW). This research investigates documents through a descriptive qualitative approach to provide an in-depth overview of the harmonization process, the challenges faced, and the impact of policy implementation. The research results show that the North Sumatra Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights is key in aligning regional spatial planning regulations (Perda RTRW) with national regulations. The harmonization process involves a review of substance and technical aspects, the preparation of recommendations, and coordination between local governments and related agencies. However, the research also identified various constraints, such as limited resources and differences in technical interpretation, that affect the effectiveness of harmonization. The effectiveness evaluation shows that the harmonization process successfully improved the alignment of RTRW regional regulations with national policies, although some minor adjustments are needed. The positive impact of this harmonization includes improved coordination between government agencies and a more substantial legal basis for implementing RTRW. The recommendations from this study include improvements in the harmonization process and policy adjustments to address the identified implementation challenges. This research is expected to enhance the understanding of regulatory harmonization mechanisms and improve the effectiveness of spatial planning policies in Gunung Sitoli City through the strategic role of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights.
