Abstract

Asphalt concrete is often used as a surface layer for anticipating the heavy traffic load andhigh, it is intended to obtain a coating that is able to contribute to the measured bearing capacity.Asphalt concrete mix composed of continuously graded aggregate and asphalt binding material,where the quality of asphalt concrete in the field will be affected by manufacturing process in theAMP, distribution and compaction in field. This study aims to determine the effect of immersion inthe concrete mix to the Marshall stability value. The variation of immersion time used in this study2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 24, 48 and 72 hours. The results showed that there is a very strong influence ondipping against Marshall stability value as shown by the equation Y = - 10.67 x + 228.85 and willincrease at 24 and 72 hours of immersion., While for the value of the air cavity will reach below therequirements after the age of 20 hours of immersion.Keywords: asphalt concrete mixture, Marshall stability.

Abstract

The analyticalmodel to solve the integration-production-distribution problem has drawbackof not able to accomodate the uncertainty of supply chain. This research aims to develop a simulationmodel to obtain a production and distribution plan that not only minimize the production anddistribution cost but also implementable in the real world situation.The steps of the research includes data generation, analytical model formulation and solutionmodel search, deterministic simulation model design based on generated data and analytical solutionmodel, verification test, running deterministic simulation model, validation test, stochastic simulationmodel design by incorporating uncertainty factor in terms of probabilistic production time andvehicle speed and validation of analytical solution model to determine whether the analytical modelsolution is worth to be implemented.The deterministic simulation and stochastic models were designed with ARENA simulationsoftware. Based on the stochastic running model, the total time for period one is higher than 48available hours so concluded that analytical solution model is not worth implemented.Keywords:. supply chain, production-distribution integration, analytical model, simulation model,deterministic, stochastic, ARENA software

Abstract

In an effort to suppress the release of methane gas from garbage to atmostfir which contributingto the greenhouse effect and global warming then conducted too studies for methane gas captureand methane gas to use for the purposes of this engine with a converter kit. This research is dedicatedto obtain a set of tools used to convert gasoline into motor fuel gas. The study of several possiblemodels of fuel gas distribution, is applied by maintaining fuel consumption of gasoline (hybrid).Outcome to design a set of tools used to convert gasoline motor fuel gas into the form ofdrawings, specifications of equipment and components, work systems, prototypes and guidelines.

Abstract

Alsina and Tomas (2005) discuss about inequaty of the gamma function by geometricalapproach. Sandor (2005) and Baiduri (2008) discuss about some inequalities that involves the gammafunction based on the series representaion of psi function. Based on these results and use samemethod, this paper discusses some inequalities involves the q-gamma function.

Abstract

One of centrale of home industry in Malang is UD. BJ Mendit on Mendit Barat, Kec. Pakis withit’s roof production process. From the observation that the researcher do into UD. BJ Mendit,finded that the production process had been doing often with technical and non technical problemsthat make some failed roof product. Purposes of this research are identifying types of roof failedproduct, analysing main cause of roof failed product with Pareto diagram. From the steps had done,finded that the biggest failed criterion is keropos. Keropos is caused by lack of skill and correctnessof worker on processing the raw material, can also caused by process execution which not fullycorret so that produce critical process to be repaired first to increase the quality of Mendit’s roof.

Abstract

Paving block most use in construction such as pavement, highway and parking area. Ease onsetting, cheap of treatment and aesthetic fully cause of paving block such as like. Production ofpaving block is not optimally from quality, because paving block still from the home industryproduct. The research is given production paving block with FCA (fine coarse aggregate) materialalternative another sand and cement. The strength paving block testing at some paving productwith full-pressing method, partial-pressing method and vibrating method.The research was done in UMM Laboratory and Home Industry. The six series paving blockconsist of cement : sand : FCA are 1:4:0, 1:4:3, 1:4:5, 1:8:0, 1:8:3, 1:8:5 respectively. Each variantwas made with pressing method (40, 60, 80 and 100 kg/cm2 respectively) and vibrating method,such as fully and partially method with totally specimen are 540 (each series was made 3 specimen).Curing method is done with spray water surface on paving block of age ; 7, 14, and 21 days,respectively.FCA paving block with full-pressing method can reach paving quality grade II, strength 276kg/cm2 at ratio 1:4:3, for partial-pressing maximum strength happened at ratio 1:4:0 (paving nonFCA) with strength 283 kg/cm2. The pressing method is better to compare with vibrating method,compression strength more than 200 kg/cm2, for partial-vibrating method (maximum strength is199 kg/cm2 at ratio 1:4:5, 21 day) strength result is better to compare with full-vibrating (strengthis 163 kg/cm2 at ratio 1:8:0, 21 day)

Abstract

As a potential wide-separated island market, Indonesian logistics firms require a complex warehousing structure in distributing their products to entire part of areas. The problem raise when not all part of market areas receive the products with the same price and availability as the other places received. The product availability (customer responsiveness) in the multi echelon warehosing network depend on the optimum warehouse/distribution centre location determination Rosenfield and Pendrock (1986) have researched about the conflict between inventory level and customer service on the firms which practiced the centralized warehousing strategy. This research attempts to optimize the integrated strategies in implementing the warehousing policy, how to model the warehousing system effectively using the concept of warehousing location layout and the concept of centralized-distributed warehousing system with accommodating the probability of changes of the logistic elements like transportation-distribution, sales volume and the distance. The case study result shows that the optimum warehouse location should be located in the city of Pasuruan at the grid 514.2 horizontally and 143.8 vertically. From that case, the firm automatically could deliver the products in the huge scale to gain the unit cost reduction (economic sacle) which finally could raise the customer responsiveness (product avaliability). The sensitivity analysis also shows that the distance (from source to market) of determined warehouse location affect the transport rate.

Abstract

The making of VLSI design ( Very Large Scale Integrated Scale Integration ) needed byplanning of Analog Design and Layout. Where function of making of Analog Design is to translatethe electric circuit becoming a verilog file which there are information about size of IC (integratedcircuit) tha will be formed to use DSCH. While layout represent pattern form to be used in makingof IC, where pattern form to be made have to pursuant to Analog Design which have been made andpursuant to power amplification value and its efficiency. The making of layout used MICROWINDsoftware. Then its result will in test use program of winspice, so that characteristic of class A amplifiercircuit can be seen graphly.In this research is made analog design and layout for the circuit of amplifier class A, thismatter is caused by this circuit still is often used in audio technology and radio, amplifier circuit ofclass A in the form of IC still seldom in selling marketing, and the last amplifier circuit of class Anot to integrated to require compared to higher level energy dissipation which have integrated.
