Abstract

Pengotan Village is Bali Aga’s villages which located in district of Bangli, Regency of Bangli, which has art in the form of sacred architectural art. The era of globalization that encourages people to renovate traditional houses more modern. This research studies how long this traditional house can be maintained the existence. This study was intended 1) To give the people a knowledge of the traditional house of the Pengotan Villages as one of the cultural heritage that has historical, artistic, traditional, and scientific values, 2) To find out the functions and factors that maintain the existence of the traditional house of Pengotan Village. This study uses qualitative research methods with the main way of collecting data is by observation and interviews. The theory used in this study is the structural functional theory of Robert K Merton. The results of the study reveal that the existence of traditional houses in Pengotan Village is still preserved even though a small part of the traditional houses have been renovated with newer innovations but still have the same shape and meaning.

Abstract

The people around the Puja Mandala complex are religious people who respect each other, the congregation of the Great Ibn Battuta mosque also plays an important role as a forming medium that can reflect the general public the importance of the value of harmony in pluralistic life. As a commitment to maintaining harmony and an attitude of religious tolerance, the efforts made by the Great Mosque of Ibn Battuta include maintaining personal and institutional relationships with other religious parties. This is very important because religious leaders become role models in attitude. This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods using Functionalism Theory, Multiculturalism Theory, and Organizational Theory. The results of this study reveal that the plural society in the Puja Mandala complex has good communication relations, especially between Muslims and non-Muslims who maintain harmony with each other as a form of religious harmony.

Abstract

The Bajar Cekeng community, Sulahan Village, Bangli District has a Paon building or kitchen that is different from the Paon layout in general. Every traditional house in Banjar Cekeng, Sulahan Village has a Paon which is located to the right of the sanggah or place of worship as its uniqueness. This study aims to determine the function of Paon in the traditional house of Banjar Cekeng, Sulahan, Susut, Bangli. This study uses qualitative methods emphasizing descriptive and interpretative, using functional and interpretive theory. Paon for the people of Banjar Cekeng serves as a place to cook rice, water, snacks and other foods, and can be used as a bed if you don't have a building to sleep in, usually those who sleep in Paon are pelingsir (elders). Paon is interpreted as unifying energy with each other as well as a reflection of family life.

Abstract

Scabies disease is an infectious skin disease caused by infection with the bacteria Sarcoptes scabiei. In Islamic boarding schools, students are often identified with scabies disease. This study aims to determine the knowledge system of students and caregivers about scabies disease such as views, causes, disease phases, and also the impact and health behavior. This study uses medical systems theory by Foster and Anderson and also uses qualitative research methods through data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation as well as using inductive data analysis techniques. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the biological impact of this disease is itching and pain experienced by the body and its social impacts such as being bullied by students who have not been infected and can also interfere with teaching and learning activities. There is an effective alternative treatment used by students and caregivers, namely the method of bathing on the beach and the compress method. Modern medicine is still used but only in a small way.

Abstract

A community tradition can’t be ascertained its existence. The kajekan tradition is one of mutual cooperation traditions carried out by the people of Sukodadi Village. In this study, using descriptive exploratory qualitative methods, data collection techniques Informant purposive non-random sampling, observation, interviews and documentation studies. The analysis of this research problem uses the principle of reciprocity theory. The results of this study reveal that the existence of this kajekan tradition still exists, but there are also those who don’t want to. The presence of the modern era is a factor in changing people's understanding in Sukodadi Village. The kajekan tradition is mutual assistance in building someone's house or cleaning around the house, or something similar. This tradition was formed due to the socio-cultural conditions of the people who tend to have high solidarity with one another. However, kajekan is an important mutual cooperation tradition because it has cultural, social, and religious meanings that are closely related to the people of Sukodadi Village. And have values that are upheld by the local community.

Abstract

The rapid development of tourism in Bali with many tourist visits has caused many to decide to stay. Migrants have various reasons for deciding to migrate and have strategies to survive in a new place. This study examines the factors of the residents of Jungutbatu Village in choosing the decision to migrate and what adaptation strategies are carried out by the nomads. The main problems in this study are related to (1) Factors deciding to migrate (2) Adaptation strategies carried out by immigrants. The theory used is adaptation theory. The approach used in this research is a qualitative approach with a descriptive-qualitative type of research. Data collection techniques in this study used observation, interviews and literature studies. The results of the study revealed that the factors in deciding to migrate consisted of push factors and pull factors. The strategy taken to survive is related to the development of tourism in Sanur Kaja Village with various obstacles faced and the success achieved by the nomads.
