Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the service infrastructure of Ketapang Railway Station based on users and public interest. The research method used was a survey method by distributing questionnaires to Ketapang railway station users and potential users of the station. The questionnaire included questions about the quality of station services, user expectations and needs, as well as public interest in railway station services. The results of the study showed that the infrastructure facilities at Ketapang railway station had met the minimum standard service regulations in place. From the analysis of the customer satisfaction index, it was found that the criteria for "very satisfied" was achieved with a score of 90.38%. In addition, the public interest in Ketapang railway station services was very high. These recommendations are expected to help improve the quality of Ketapang railway station services and increase public interest in using the station's services.

Abstract

Axle counter is a railway detection equipment producing wave frequencies to count the number of axles passing over the track. The existence of a mismatch between the initial and final count numbers usually leads to a red signal and this can prevent the formation of a travel route. The components of axle counter are often damaged by lightning strikes both directly and through the distribution of excessive currents due to a poor grounding system. However, these excessive currents can be safely grounded without damaging the components through the application of a good grounding system. Therefore, this research aimed to plan an effective grounding system to anticipate the incidents using the Wenner method. Some requirements such as soil type, depth, and electrode rod diameter were used in the process to determine the appropriate resistance value. The design was made based on the simulations that closely resembled real field conditions using Aspix software and grounding resistance values were also measured directly on the field to determine the discrepancies between the planning and actual conditions.

Abstract

This study uses GIS-based maps to identify the potential for landslide movement on the railroad section between Prupuk Station and Purwokerto Station. The preparation was conducted by overlaying various maps obtained by online resource data, including rainfall, slope, geology, soil type, and land use, by using the DVMBG 2004 landslide prediction model. The distribution of landslide susceptibility levels shows that of the overall railway lines, 1.10% was very low, 17.29% was low, 63.16% was medium, 18.25% was high, and 0.21% was very high. The results of this study can be used as a reference for operators to provide information systems, landslide monitoring, and mitigation systems, especially for railroads in areas with high and very high vulnerability for landslides. Detailed conditions of landslide parameters and assessment of landslide occurrence on the location are needed to improve the accuracy of the models.

Abstract

Efficiency, comfort, speed and timeliness are the main factors humans need in mobilisation and transportation. In providing a theoretical basis and technical reference for the quality improvement of high-speed railways in Indonesia, this study comprehensively discusses the theory of geometrical design of high-speed railway tracks and the calculation of excavation and embankment volumes. By using Minister of Transportation regulations Number 7 of 2022 and TB 10621-2014, which contains technical planning for high-speed railway tracks, an alternative route is planned across Bandung to Cirebon Phase I (Rancaekek-Cimalaka) with an operating speed of 350 km/hour, there are 5 horizontal curves and 16 vertical curves calculated using TB 10621-2014 and AutoCAD Civil 3D software. The results obtained from this study are alternative planning of the high-speed railway route along 33,850 meters from Bandung to Cirebon Phase I (Rancaekek- Cimalaka).

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the mechanical properties of glass fiber composites and fiber, orientation and variations pineapple with a different composition of the main tarik.Bahan tests used are glass fiber, pineapple fiber, lye (NaOH), epoxy resin and hardener. Specimens composites made by the method of hand lay up with variations in the composition of the glass fiber 6%: pineapple fiber 4%, the glass fiber 9%: pineapple fiber 6%, glass fibers 12%: pineapple fiber 8%, glass fibers 15%: pineapple fiber 10% and with random fiber orientation and horizontal. Making the specimens was performed by reference to standard ASTM D 638.Hasil this test shows that the highest tensile strength in horizontal fiber orientation with the volume fraction of 25% sebesar143.98 MPa, while the lowest occurred in a random fiber orientation of 10% amounting to 13.45 MPa. Fault Composite glass fiber and epoxy pineapple fiber bermatrik average can be classified as a single fracture type.
