Abstract

Rubber is a plant that has a major contribution in increasing Indonesia's foreign exchange. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of liquid organic fertilizer from lamtoro leaves on the growth of rubber seedlings from sleeping eye stumps. This research was conducted in Tempurukan Village, Muara Pawan District, Ketapang Regency, West Kalimantan from September to December 2021. This study used a non-factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments and was repeated 5 times. A1: POC for lamtoro leaves 250 ml/polybag, A2: POC for lamtoro leaves 300 ml/polybag, A3: POC for lamtoro leaves 350 ml/polybag, A4: POC for leaves of lamtoro 400 ml/polybag. The results showed that the POC of lamtoro leaves 250 ml/polybag was optimal for the growth of sleeping eye stumps.

Abstract

Rice washing water is one of the ingredients that has the potential to be used as liquid organic fertilizer because it contains nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and vitamin B1 nutrients which have the potential as organic fertilizers that are still needed by plants. The area of peatland in Indonesia is estimated at around 14.9 million ha, which has the potential to be used for agriculture. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the nutrient content of POC rice washing water on the growth of oil palm seedlings in pre-nursary on peat soil. This study used a non-factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 5 replications. Each treatment consisted of 3 plants so that 75 experimental units were obtained. Observation parameters consisted of plant height (cm), number of leaves (strands), stem diameter (mm), root volume (mL), and seedling dry weight (g). The data obtained were analyzed statistically by Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). If it is significantly different, then the Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) will be further tested at the 5% level. The results showed that the concentration of 200 mL/liter of water was the best concentration for plant height parameters (cm), number of leaves (strands), stem diameter (mm), and seedling dry weight (g). While the concentration of 500 mL/liter of water can increase plant growth at the observed root volume (mL).

Abstract

Coffee (Coffea sp.) is one of the leading plantation crop commodities in Indonesia, because Indonesia is a country with the third largest coffee production in the world besides Brazil and Vietnam. The importance of coffee plants in the Indonesian economy makes the demand for coffee plants increase. This study aims to determine the effect of giving banana stem POC on the growth of coffee seedlings. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments, namely (P0) = POC banana stem 0 ml L-1 water, (P1) = POC banana stem 160 ml L-1 water, (P2) = POC banana stem 200 ml L-1 water (P3) = POC banana stems 240 ml L-1 water, (P4) = POC banana stems 280 ml L-1 water. Each treatment was repeated 3 times, so there were 75 experimental units. POC banana stem dose of 280 ml L-1 water is the best dose that can increase the vegetative growth of coffee plants on the parameters of plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves, root length and plant dry weight.

Abstract

Coffee (Coffea sp.) is a leading export commodity developed in Indonesia because it has a relatively high economic value in the world market. This study aims to determine the effect of giving banana weevil POC to the growth of robusta coffee seedlings on peat media and to determine the optimum banana weevil POC dose that affects the growth of robusta coffee seedlings on peat media. The study was carried out at the experimental garden of the Ketapang State Polytechnic, from July to September 2021. The study used a completely randomized design (RAL) consisting of 5 treatments and 5 replications, so there were 25 experimental units. Each experimental unit consists of 3 samples so that the total number is 75 samples. The treatments were B0 = POC banana weevil 0 ml L-1, B1 = POC banana hump 30 ml L-1B2 = POC banana weevil 50 ml L-1, B3 = POC banana weevil 70 ml L-1, B4 = POC banana hump 90 ml L-1. Parameters observed were plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves, root length and root dry weight. The results of analysis of variance showed that the application of POC banana weeds significantly affected the growth of plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves, root length and root dry weight. The optimum dose of POC banana hump that can increase the growth of robusta coffee seedlings in peat media is 30 ml L-1.

Abstract

Rubber plant (Hevea brasiliensis Muell Arg.) is one of the important plantation commodities for Indonesia because it is one of Indonesia's export commodities for foreign exchange. The problem in rubber nurseries today is the limitation of fertile soil as a planting medium in polybags. Efforts to overcome this problem are to utilize mineral soils that lack nutrients such as alluvial subsoil by giving roasted rice husks. Roasted rice husks contain 35.98% organic C and macronutrients such as N (0.73%), P (0.14%) and K (0.3%). This research was carried out from October 2021 to January 2022 at the Ketapang State Polytechnic Experimental Garden. This study used a non-factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 6 treatments and 4 replications, so there were 24 experimental units. Each replication consisted of 3 plant samples so that 72 samples were obtained. Observation parameters included plant height (cm), stem circumference (cm), number of umbrellas (strands), plant wet weight (g), and plant dry weight (g). The data obtained were analyzed by means of variance with Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). The best dose of roasted rice husk on the growth of rubber rootstock seedlings of clone PB 260 was 90 g/plant.

Abstract

The use of red-yellow podzolic media for coffee seedlings still needs to be considered because red-yellow podzolic soils still have problems such as low soil pH and low nutrient content. One alternative to using organic fertilizers and inorganic fertilizers is coconut pulp which contains 0.92% N, 0.17% P, and 0.25% K. This study aims to determine the effect of coconut compost on the growth of robusta coffee seedlings on red yellow podzolic media. The study was carried out at the Ketapang State Polytechnic Experimental Garden, from September to December 2021. The study used a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 5 treatments and 5 treatments. replications, so that there are 25 experimental units, each experimental unit consists of 3 samples so that the total number is 75 samples. The treatments are K0: No Composted Coconut Dregs, K1: 150 g/polybag, K2: 200 g/polybag, K3: 250 g/polybag, K4: 300 g/polybag. Parameters observed were plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves, leaf length, leaf width, and plant weight. Based on the results of further tests, presenting coconut pulp compost had a significant effect on plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves, leaf length, leaf width, and plant dry weight with K4 treatment (coconut pulp compost 300 g/polybag).
