Abstract

Every company in the industrial sector, whether large, medium or small, requires effective raw material inventory control to ensure operational continuity and reducse costs. Mr. Abdul’s Tofu Factory, an example of an UMKM that was founded in 2011, produces tofu with the main raw material being soybeans (Glycine max), which has high demain the market. However, the processing of soybean raw material supplies at this factory is not yet optimal, characterized by excess stock which results in increased costs and unplanned purchases of raw materials. This research aims to analyze inventory control of soybean raw materials using the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) and Periodic Order Quantity (POQ) methods to determine the most economical order quantity. Data one the Purchase and use of soybeans at Mr Abdul’s Tofu Factory in the period January-December 2022 was analyzed. The research results show what the POQ method is more efficient than EOQ, with an optimal order quantity of 2.514,40 kg and frequency of purchases twice a year. The POQ  method is able to produce total inventory costs of IDR 3.788.290,55, lower than other methods. Therefore, the application of the POQ method is recommended to minimize inventory costs at Mr Abdul’s Tofu Factory and increase operational efficiency.

Abstract

Yogyakarta is a city that is often called a miniature of Indonesia, has a multitude of features. Starting from governance to many other features. Trans Jogja is one of the BRT products for the city of Jogja which is said to have been initially built to provide clean, neat and comfortable city transportation for everyone. However, Trans Jogja, which is heralded as an improvement in public transportation service modes, is in reality still less than optimal. In order to meet the expectations of prospective passengers at bus stops, service improvements and innovations are needed. In this research, Trans Jogja bus stops will be identified using the SERVQUAL and House of Quality methods. The cause of customer dissatisfaction in the Servqual analysis is that from the results of data processing it was found that there was a gap in all service dimensions at the Trans Jogja bus stop. Determining the highest to smallest improvement priorities to increase customer satisfaction in the House of Quality analysis is conducting training to improve performance, evaluating staff performance, updating schedules and daily departure routes clearly and in detail, controlling the availability of service facilities, implementing SOPs for staff , Providing a box for suggestions and criticism, and Providing supporting facilities for the safety and smooth running of Trans Jogja bus stop users.

Abstract

The manufacturing industry, including the refined sugar industry, faces challenges in minimizing environmental impact and enhancing operational sustainability. The implementation of the green manufacturing concept is essential to achieving these goals. This study aims to evaluate the green manufacturing performance of PT. ABC, focusing on environmental, economic, and social aspects. The research methodology employed is a qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis using relevant frameworks and metrics based on the Green SCOR. The findings indicate that PT. ABC has implemented several green manufacturing practices; however, there are still areas that need improvement, such as high energy consumption and a high defect rate. This study provides recommendations to enhance green manufacturing performance at PT. ABC, including optimizing energy use, reducing waste, and improving production process efficiency. The results of this study are expected to serve as a reference for PT. ABC in developing strategies and improvement plans to achieve better operational and environmental sustainability.

Abstract

The manufacturing industry is one of the important sectors in the Indonesian economy. PT. Uwe Molino Luwuk is one of the manufacturing companies that offers bottled drinking water (AMDK) products. This company still has several problems related to waste in its production process. This situation is also reflected in the loss of time during the production process. This waste can cause great losses for the company. This study aims to optimize production to reduce waste can be done by applying the Just In Time (JIT) method through the Value Stream Mapping (VSM) data analysis technique. The results of the study showed that the dominant waste in the top order was waiting. Developing improvements from the current to the future state, the lead time value of the material on the production floor was faster, in the VSM before 510 minutes while the lead time of the VSM after was 310 minutes. So there is a reduction in time of around 60.7%.

Abstract

This study examines the mental workload experienced by call center operators at PT XYZ Makassar using the NASA-TLX method. High mental workload can impact service quality, productivity, and employees' psychological well-being, particularly in high-pressure service industries. The aim of this study is to identify the dominant dimensions of mental workload and analyze their relationship with the work conditions of call center operators. A mixed-methods approach was employed, focusing on descriptive quantitative analysis, complemented by qualitative data through semi-structured interviews. The primary instrument used was the NASA-TLX, which measures mental workload based on six dimensions: mental demand, physical demand, temporal demand, performance, effort, and frustration. The study involved 20 call center operators at PT XYZ Makassar. The findings reveal that 60% of operators experience high levels of mental workload, with effort and mental demand being the primary contributing factors. These findings indicate the need for improvements in workload management, such as restructuring work schedules, stress management training, and enhancing psychosocial support to alleviate excessive mental workload. This study contributes to the development of cognitive ergonomics theory in the service sector context and provides practical recommendations for improving employee well-being and operational efficiency. Further research could explore the long-term effects of mental workload on employee health and performance in other sectors.
